Recently,deep learning(DL)became one of the essential tools in bioinformatics.A modified convolutional neural network(CNN)is employed in this paper for building an integratedmodel for deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)*** any CNN model,convolutional layers are used to extract features followed by max-pooling layers to reduce the dimensionality of features.A novel method based on downsampling and CNNs is introduced for feature *** downsampling is an improved form of the existing pooling layer to obtain better classification *** two-dimensional discrete transform(2D DT)and two-dimensional random projection(2D RP)methods are applied for *** convert the high-dimensional data to low-dimensional data and transform the data to the most significant feature ***,there are parameters which directly affect how a CNN model is *** this paper,some issues concerned with the training of CNNs have been *** CNNs are examined by changing some hyperparameters such as the learning rate,size of minibatch,and the number of *** and assessment of the performance of CNNs are carried out on 16S rRNA bacterial *** results indicate that the utilization of a CNN based on wavelet subsampling yields the best trade-off between processing time and accuracy with a learning rate equal to 0.0001,a size of minibatch equal to 64,and a number of epochs equal to 20.

Artificial intelligence plays an essential role in the medical and health *** convolution networks offer valuable services and help create automated systems to perform medical image ***,convolution networks examine medical images effectively;such systems require high computational complexity when recognizing the same disease-affected ***,an optimized deep convolution network is utilized for analyzing disease-affected regions in this *** disease-relatedmedical images are selected and examined pixel by pixel;this analysis uses the gray wolf optimized deep learning *** method identifies affected pixels by the gray wolf hunting *** convolution network uses an automatic learning function that predicts the disease affected by previous imaging *** optimized algorithm-based selected regions are further examined using the distribution pattern-matching *** pattern-matching process recognizes the disease effectively,and the system’s efficiency is evaluated using theMATLAB implementation *** process ensures high accuracy of up to 99.02%to 99.37%and reduces computational complexity.

The field of dermatology faces considerable challenges when it comes to early detection of skin cancer. Our study focused on using different datasets, including original data, augmented data, and SMOTE oversampled data, to identify skin cancer. Our dataset consisted of images of skin lesions from the MNIST Skin Cancer dataset (HAM 10000), including samples of both cancerous and benign cases in the dataset. We employed data augmentation to expand the dataset's size and increase the diversity of skin lesion features. Furthermore, to tackle class imbalance in the dataset, we applied the SMOTE oversampling technique to generate synthetic samples for the under-represented group. With the original, augmented, and SMOTE oversampled datasets, we trained a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model. The performance of the model was evaluated using accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-score. The comparison between the results obtained from the original data, augmented data, and SMOTE oversampling data clearly revealed distinctions in performance. Our findings clearly demonstrate that employing data augmentation and SMOTE oversampling can significantly enhance the efficacy of skin cancer detection. © 2023 IEEE.

As the Internet and big data technologies advance, a tremendous amount of data is generated daily. Efficient network operations are essential for handling such data. Accurately predicting future network traffic in real-time enables prompt response from cloud infrastructure and efficient traffic scheduling and allocation, ultimately reducing costs, preventing economic losses, and optimizing the performance of downstream facilities. However, predicting network traffic in large-scale data centers is challenging due to the multidimensional, nonlinear, and high-volatility nature of the time series. Traditional prediction methods, e.g., regression algorithms, struggle to capture non-linear features effectively. Many deep learning models face issues such as gradient explosion or vanishing during their training. Current commonly used prediction methods fail to fully uncover vital information about the frequency domain features in the time series. To do so, this work proposes a novel network traffic prediction model that combines a Savitzky Golay filter, sequence decomposition, multi-scale attention, a temporal convolutional network, an autocorrelation mechanism, and bidirectional long short-term memory. It can accurately predict future network traffic by adaptively extracting important features without requiring excessive feature engineering of the original data. It performs end-to-end sequence prediction, feature selection, and automatic learning of data features and temporal dependencies to achieve accurate time series prediction and avoid redundant data processing. Experiments involving ablation studies and comparisons with advanced prediction models are performed with the Google cluster trace. Experimental results show that the proposed model improves the prediction accuracy by at least 38.52% over the state-of-the-art models. © 2024 IEEE.

Internet of things (IoT) has been significantly raised owing to thedevelopment of broadband access network, machine learning (ML), big dataanalytics (BDA), cloud computing (CC), and so on. The development of IoTtechnologies has resulted in a massive quantity of data due to the existenceof several people linking through distinct physical components, indicatingthe status of the CC environment. In the IoT, load scheduling is realistictechnique in distinct data center to guarantee the network suitability by fallingthe computer hardware and software catastrophe and with right utilize ofresource. The ideal load balancer improves many factors of Quality of Service(QoS) like resource performance, scalability, response time, error tolerance,and efficiency. The scholar is assumed as load scheduling a vital problem inIoT environment. There are many techniques accessible to load scheduling inIoT environments. With this motivation, this paper presents an improved deerhunting optimization algorithm with Type II fuzzy logic (IDHOA-T2F) modelfor load scheduling in IoT environment. The goal of the IDHOA-T2F is todiminish the energy utilization of integrated circuit of IoT node and enhancethe load scheduling in IoT environments. The IDHOA technique is derivedby integrating the concepts of Nelder Mead (NM) with the DHOA. Theproposed model also synthesized the T2L based on fuzzy logic (FL) systemsto counterbalance the load distribution. The proposed model finds usefulto improve the efficiency of IoT system. For validating the enhanced loadscheduling performance of the IDHOA-T2F technique, a series of simulationstake place to highlight the improved performance. The experimental outcomesdemonstrate the capable outcome of the IDHOA-T2F technique over therecent techniques.

Studies show that mosquitos could be identified using their recording during their flights with machine learning. However, differences in environmental conditions and the use of various recording devices can cause significant variations in audio channels making their performances drop. Models created with Machine Learning are usually less robust to audio channel variations. This research aims to increase the robustness of the model in identifying Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albopictus through audio spectral analysis. The approach used involves audio manipulation techniques such as normalization, channel equalization, and histogram equalization. Modeling is performed using various machine learning architectures, including Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Gated CNN, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). Feature extraction involves ShortTime Fourier Transform (STFT), Filter Bank (FBank), MelFrequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), Gammatone Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (GFCC), and Power Normalized Cepstral Coefficients (PNCC). Test results show that the combination of histogram equalization, MLP, and GFCC produces optimal performance. On the Wingbeats dataset, the highest accuracy rate reached $\mathbf{9 3. 8 2 \%}$. Apart from that, this model also shows good performance on the Humbugdb dataset with an accuracy of $\mathbf{8 3. 0 8 \%}$ and on the Dryad dataset with an accuracy of $\mathbf{7 5. 8 6 \%}$. These findings provide a valuable contribution in developing a robust model and can be a solid basis for supporting efforts to monitor and control diseases caused by Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albopictus mosquitoes.

Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) has been put forward as one of the key candidate technologies to achieve high spectrum efficiency. However, to reach its full potential there is a need for the availability of accurate channel state information, which is quite challenging to estimate. This paper, therefore, focuses on proposing two compressive sensing algorithm-based channel estimation schemes to be used in the IRS-aided millimeter wave (mmWave) wireless communication systems. The first channel estimation named reduced complexity-orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) (RedCOMP)-based channel estimation scheme seeks to achieve optimum performance while reducing the computational complexity associated with the traditional OMP algorithm. The second scheme named remodelled OMP (RemOMP)-based channel estimation method aims at obtaining enhanced channel estimate with the aid of side information known a priori at the receiver. Simulation results indicate that the proposed RemOMP-based channel estimator exhibits the best performance among the three channel estimation schemes with similar computational complexity cost to the traditional OMP-base channel estimator. However, the RedCOMP-based channel estimation scheme, while not showing good performance, incurred the least computational complexity cost among all the schemes. © 2023 IEEE.
