Technological advancements are accelerating in the modern day;one such advancement is augmented reality (AR) technology. Naturally, these advancements have an effect on various sectors of life, one of which is education. The education industry will be the most impacted if campuses implement and deploy augmented reality technology. One of these is through the use of augmented reality technology as an application-based learning medium for students in order to motivate them to learn and make it easier for them to improve their academic performance on campus. The issue at hand is the absence of utilization of augmentation reality technology as a learning medium on campus, which, of course, does not capitalize on technical advancements to improve student interest in learning. This study employs a research and development model. The method is divided into four phases: (1) planning;(2) data collecting;(3) analysis, discussion, and development;and (4) documentation. The findings of this study reveal that students enthusiastically support the usage of augmented reality technology as a learning medium in order to boost accomplishment and introduce new experiences through its use. However, it is required to have a system capable of serving as a technological medium, so that the construction of a system capable of serving as a medium for augmented reality may be easily accessed by students, who hope that this system would enable them to better their academic performance. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have gained significant attention due to their low cost and efficient deployment. Specifically, UAV-based communications hold promise to supplement the coverage limitations of terrestrial networks and achieve superior connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT). Moreover, UAVs with visible light communication (VLC) capability do not interfere with existing radio frequency (RF) communication infrastructure, thereby providing flexible, high-throughput on-demand wireless communications. In this paper, considering the limited battery capacity of UAVs, we aim to maximize the energy efficiency (EE) of a multi-UAV downlink VLC system for IoT. To this end, the system model with co-channel interference is first established, followed by the formulation of the joint spatial deployment and resource allocation problem. Besides, the original problem is decomposed into three subproblems, focusing on spatial deployment, subchannel assignment, and power allocation. By employing the block coordinate descent method, the three subproblems are solved alternately. Moreover, simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves superior improvements in EE compared to other baselines. In addition, the convergence and computational complexity of the proposed algorithm, as well as the impacts of key parameters on the overall system performance are also investigated. © 2025 IEEE.

Real-world practical systems inherently exhibit non-linearities in their dynamics. Also, it is known that a time-varying delay exists in the system state or input-output. Combined, it affects the stability of the closed-loop system. It also increases the complexity of the controller design. In-depth controller design research on the class of Nonlinear Systems with Time-Varying Delay (NSTVD) has been the focus of the control community for many years. However, there is a lack of Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and classifications of the papers on this topic. This paper aims to review controller design utilizing a neural network model for the class of NSTVD systems. The study employs Kitchenham’s SLR method to gather, analyze and synthesize published papers from reliable databases between 2017 and 2021. The bibliometric analysis for the selected 38 papers reveals the prolific authors, countries, affiliations, publishers, co-authorship network, co-occurrences of keywords, and ten most-cited papers. Finally, this paper developed a conceptual map outlining six multi-layered findings: the addressed problem, control design method, nonlinear system properties, time-varying delay properties, system constraint properties, and actuator limit properties. A brief qualitative analysis of the ten most-cited papers is performed based on the map. The findings highlighted that the proposed methods have shown encouraging results in the simulation domain and can be used as a source of inspiration for future studies and implementation of the neural controller design of the NSTVD system.

Disability is a complex problem affecting many lives in Indonesia, especially people with hearing impairments. Disability is also a complex phenomenon, starting from the type of disability, degree of disability, and age of persons with disabilities to interactions and environmental impacts on disability. Moreover, there are many testimonies from around the world that people with disabilities are more likely to be weak and less likely to get an education. This paper aims to present a mobile application that offers sign language images and videos of any text in a learning environment that is shaped like a dictionary module to increase their vocabulary, learn a new sign language, and pronounce a word. This mobile application is specially designed for deaf people who have limitations in learning and educational training. This mobile application is equipped with several features such as user registration for the deaf and normal people who like to learn sign language, discussing through forums, using a sign language dictionary containing sign language text and pictures, using interactive learning videos, registering for an event activity, including giving input, and also make a donation. © 2023 IEEE.

Since the emergence of Pokémon Go in 2016, the world has been introduced to Augmented Reality (AR) games. Many IT companies have begun developing augmented reality (AR) games due to the great commercial potential in this industry. Certain products may have managed to remain viable in the market, while others were forced to close due to one or two factors. Since the emergence of Pokémon Go, no other game has managed to surpass its unprecedented success. The company responsible for developing Pokémon Go has decided to shut down one of their games due to a lack of consumer interest. The technology of augmented reality (AR) is consistently associated with the concept of immersion. Immersion is a key aspect of the game that allows users to deeply engage and feel fully involved in the experience. This study will employ a quantitative methodology, utilising a questionnaire that will be distributed to and completed by those who have engaged in augmented reality (AR) games. The data will be analysed using Smart PLS to examine the impact of user experience on immersion, which in turn influences intention. After gathering over 200 participants by spreading google form questionnaires and doing data analysis, the findings indicate that only a few aspects of user experience, namely Brand Experience and User Need Experience, have an impact on reasons. Niantic, the developer of Pokémon Go, was unable to replicate their success with a similar augmented reality game called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The initial release occurred on June 21, 2019, and the shutdown took place on December 21, 2021. In the beginning, they shown a profound enthusiasm for the game but were unable to sustain it, much as Pokémon Go. According to Niantic CEO John Hanke, the primary reason for the game's shutdown was its immersion. As social beings, humans like to interact with each other, including other creatures of God, such as animals, and keep them as pets. Many pets, such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, and so on, include unusual pets such as reptiles, pigs, insects, etc. As a result of the lack of human awareness of pets and the nature of keeping animals, which is only for fun, it is not soulful to keep animals. So when people are bored, they abandon their pets, which causes new problems in human life today. In this case, we created a mobile application that can be shared with pet lovers where they can share information about abandoned pets and the possibility of owning pets from these abandoned pets. Mobile applications were designed using use case diagrams to show business processes, class diagrams to show database models, and user interfaces to present a similar interface to users. This mobile application will become a platform that can gather all people who care about pets and make pets a part of humans.

As the rapid development of communication technology, more and more smart devices will be connected in cognitive radio Internet of Things (CIoT) using an opportunistic manner. However, the dynamicity and heterogeneity of spectrum will make it more difficult in data transmission strategy design for unreliable IoT. Opportunistic routing exploits the broadcast property of wireless medium to improve network performance in an opportunistic communication manner. Inspired by this, in this paper, we propose a Nash-learning and Transfer Learning based Opportunistic Data Transmission scheme, NTLODT, for differentiated services CIoT, which exploits Nash-learning for candidate set optimization and transfer learning for data transmission decision from a trust mechanism perspective. In addition, we prove that the convergence and complexity of the proposed algorithm. The simulation results demonstrate that the effectiveness of NTLODT in terms of average energy cost per bit, average delay, expected cost of routing and throughput. © 2024 IEEE.

The computer networks overwhelm with unwanted emails, which are called spam emails. This email brings financial damage to companies and losses of user reputation. In this paper, the increasing volume of these emails has created the intense need to design and implement robust anti-spam filtering using the vector space model and Machine Learning (ML). ML algorithms have successfully used to detect and filter spam emails that jeopardize the network resources and consume the bandwidth. The main objective is to apply unsupervised learning M-DBSCAN to classify spam and ham emails. A robust method using the Modified Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (M-DBSCAN) is implemented. The extracted N-representative points from each cluster are applied in the online test. These points represent the cluster objects to detect spherical and non-spherical clusters. These N-representative points are formed from the training step to detect spam email using distance measures. The data set used from the Kaggle website included many objects of ham and spam emails. The results show good performance accuracy with 97.848% in M-DBSCAN compared with 95.918% for standard DBSCAN accuracy and efficient values in false-negative rate, false-positive rate, f-score and online time detection. © 2021,EAI Endorsed Transactions on Energy *** Rights Reserved.

This research explores the use of Fuzzy K-Nearest Neighbor(F-KNN)and Artificial Neural Networks(ANN)for predicting heart stroke incidents,focusing on the impact of feature selection methods,specifically Chi-Square and Best First Search(BFS).The study demonstrates that BFS significantly enhances the performance of both *** BFS preprocessing,the ANN model achieved an impressive accuracy of 97.5%,precision and recall of 97.5%,and an Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)area of 97.9%,outperforming the Chi-Square-based ANN,which recorded an accuracy of 91.4%.Similarly,the F-KNN model with BFS achieved an accuracy of 96.3%,precision and recall of 96.3%,and a Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)area of 96.2%,surpassing the performance of the Chi-Square F-KNN model,which showed an accuracy of 95%.These results highlight that BFS improves the ability to select the most relevant features,contributing to more reliable and accurate stroke *** findings underscore the importance of using advanced feature selection methods like BFS to enhance the performance of machine learning models in healthcare applications,leading to better stroke risk management and improved patient outcomes.

Digital repositories are an important tool for the preservation of academic resources in digital format. Submission of items to digital repositories is mainly performed through Web forms which are filled and submitted by human archivist. Submitting a large number of items through Web forms proves to be highly unpractical and time consuming since items should be submitted one item at a time. To address this problem, an approach to automate the submission process of digital resources to digital repositories is proposed. In this approach, metadata about the items stored in spreadsheets are mapped to objects representing digital repository constructs, which are then automatically submitted to a digital repository by means of Web API. The benefits include the simplification of the submission process, the conservation of business resources, and the elimination of redundancy in business operations. © 2023 IEEE.
