Oil palm plantations in Indonesia still have many challenges, especially in terms of monitoring and mapping technology. One of the important aspects in the monitoring stage of oil palm plantations is monitoring the productivity of oil palm plants. To identify the oil palm plants, many previous studies have utilized image analysis to solve the problem. The problem is that poor image conditions can affect the architecture model to be built.[1] So in this research we do tune mapping on the image to produce a quality image. Each image data that has been improved will be feature extracted using ResNet and VGG to produce the best model. Furthermore, the classification model development process is carried out using CNN architecture as the model architecture. We also provide innovation by using object detection technology. Which uses artificial neural networks. Here we train the model using aerial video datasets of oil palm plants obtained from drones. Furthermore, to evaluate the performance of the above technique, it is proposed to use the mapping model, precision and accuracy evaluation obtained in the test phase[2]

In the digital era, digital talent development has become increasingly vital for organizations and economies to thrive. While much focus has been placed on technical skills, this report emphasizes the often-overlooked role of soft skills in developing digital talent. Through an extensive literature review and data analysis, the study identifies that soft skills are crucial in enhancing digital talent performance. This research explores the factors that influence Digital Talent Performance in Indonesia, specifically comparing the performance levels of male and female digital talents. Data were collected from college students in the Jabodetabek area (cities surrounding Jakarta, Indonesia) using a purposive sampling method, with an online questionnaire distributed to 378 respondents. The study utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze the collected data using SmartPLS 4.1. software. Key variables examined include Communication Skills, Teamwork, Emotional Intelligence, Academic Achievement, Problem-Solving, Digital Readiness, Digital Skills, Digital technology, and Digital Talent Performance. Out of the nine hypotheses tested, one was not statistically significant. The results suggest that a combination of both technical and soft skills significantly affects digital talent performance, with important gender-based differences in performance levels emerging from the analysis. This research contributes to understanding Indonesia's complex dynamics of digital talent development.

Cloud computing has many benefits in various sectors. However, there are threats such as malware, data loss, and misuse of access rights, as well as risks, that occur in the cloud computing environment. This study aims to identify and further explore the types of threats, risks, and mitigation strategies in the cloud computing environment, as well as what risk mitigation components are needed to mitigate risks in the cloud computing environment. This research method uses Kitchenham because it is commonly used to conduct systematic literature reviews (SLR). Sources only refer to journals and proceedings indexed in the IEEE Explorer, scienceDirect, Springer, ACM Digital Library, Wiley Online Library, and Emerald Insight database. The results of this study identified 173 papers based on keywords, 68 papers based on titles, and abstracts, and produced 59 selected papers based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, where the type of threat produced 20 findings, the type of risk 11 findings, and risk mitigation strategies 13 findings, and produced 4 findings for risk mitigation components. Based on the findings, it can be used to mitigate risks in the cloud computing environment.

Hardware breakpoints are used to monitor the behavior of a program on a virtual machine (VM). Although a virtual machine monitor (VMM) can inspect programs on a VM at hardware breakpoints, the programs themselves can detect hardware breakpoints by reading debug registers. Malicious programs may change their behavior to avoid introspection and other security mechanisms if a hardware breakpoint is detected. To prevent introspection evasion, methods for hiding hardware breakpoints by returning a fake value to the VM are proposed. These methods detect the read and write operations of the debug register from the VM and then return the processing to the VM as if their access has succeeded. However, VM introspection remains detectable from the VM by confirming the availability of the debug exception in the address set. While the previous work handles the read and write operations of the debug register, the debug exception is not delivered to the VM program. To address this problem, this study presents a method for making hardware breakpoints compatible with VM introspection. The proposed method uses surplus debug address registers to deliver the debug exception at the hardware breakpoint set by the VM program. If a VM program attempts to write a value to a debug register, the VMM detects and stores the value in a real debug register that is not used for VM introspection. Because debug exception at the hardware breakpoint was delivered to the VM, hardware breakpoints set by the VM were compatible with VM introspection. The evaluation results showed that the proposed method had a low performance overhead. © 2022 IEEE.

To accurately assess the dynamic impact of a company’s activities on its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) scores, we have initiated a series of shared tasks, named ML-ESG. These tasks adhere to the MSCI guidelines for annotating news articles across various languages. This paper details the third iteration of our series, ML-ESG-3, with a focus on impact duration inference—a task that poses significant challenges in estimating the enduring influence of events, even for human analysts. In ML-ESG-3, we provide datasets in five languages (Chinese, English, French, Korean, and Japanese) and share insights from our experience in compiling such subjective datasets. Additionally, this paper reviews the methodologies proposed by ML-ESG-3 participants and offers a comparative analysis of the models’ performances. Concluding the paper, we introduce the concept for the forthcoming series of shared tasks, namely multi-lingual ESG promise verification, and discuss its potential contributions to the field. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association.

Communication becomes difficult when interaction between the disabled and the general public are required. People with disabilities of various races communicate using various sign languages. For persons who are deaf or hard of hearing sign language is their primary mode of communication. However, the majority of our community does not understand sign language, taking them out in public is incredibly challenging. In order to make sign language understandable to the general public, computer vision-based methods are now widely used. Recognition of hand gesture is one of the computer vision based technologies for recognizing sign language, and it is attracting a lot of attention from analysis. For a long time, it has been a popular research area. In the area of hand gesture recognition in computer vision, some recent research has achieved outstanding improvements by employing deep learning techniques. In this paper we have discussed the previous research methods, technologies, datasets and models used in Bengal sign language gestures that are interconnected in terms of achieving a successful result. Therefore, this review article tried to reveal the independent techniques which are used to overcome the challenges in research. © 2022 IEEE.

In recent years, investigations into language acquisition have greatly benefited from the utilization of natural language processing technologies, particularly in analyzing extensive corpora consisting of authentic texts produced by learners across the realms of first and second language acquisition. A crucial task in this domain involves the assessment of language learners' language ability development. The "Language Learning Development" task featured in EVALITA 2023 [1] marks a significant milestone as the inaugural shared task focused on automated language development assessment, which entails predicting the relative order of two essays written by the same student. We introduce a novel attention mechanism, namely sequential information attention mechanism, with the primary objective of exploiting information interaction between sequence texts. Experimental results on the COWS dataset show the effectiveness of our proposed sequential information attention mechanism, showcasing its substantial impact on model performance during the final evaluation phase. © 2023 Copyright for this paper by its authors. Bioinformatics exploration into potential mechanisms of Calamus draco for colorectal cancer treatment

As one of the cancer types with the highest incidence rates, colorectal cancer (CRC) would benefit from treatments with fewer side effects and reduced treatment-resistant potential. One of the options is to harness the anti-CRC potential of natural products. Previous studies have shown that Calamus draco exudate, dragon's blood, has anticancer activity in liver cancer and acute myeloid leukemia, but its bioactivity has not been studied in CRC. Here we conduct a bioinformatics study based on network pharmacology to explore the anti-CRC potential and mechanism of C. draco -derived compounds. The bioinformatics pipeline is composed of compound and target collection, biological network evaluation, and enrichment analysis. We found that there are 43 bioactive compounds from C. draco targeting 91 CRC-related targets, of which most compounds target MEN1, PTGS2, and IDH1. Further analyses show that the targets of C. draco are involved in the cellular response to hypoxia. By inhibiting those targets, C. draco bioactive compounds can potentially hinder angiogenesis and increase treatment response efficacy.

Recently, the research on daily health monitoring using a wearable sensor has been continually evolving. In the future, when this system is actually implemented, a vast amount of data transmission will be conducted from multiple sensors to the cloud server. A system capable of transmitting, storing, processing, and visualizing massive volumes of data is necessary for health monitoring. This research aims to develop a health monitoring system that can accommodate a high amount of data with high performance. The proposed techniques include numerous modifications to system architecture and technology. In the system architecture, a multi-database is proposed to enhance the reliability of the system. As an enhancement to the technology aspect, a time series database and MQTT server are proposed. As the result, the proposed system achieves significantly better performance in terms of throughput, database-writing speed, and database-reading speed compared to the existing system. © 2022 IEEE.

In recent years, making computers understand the emotions of users is necessary because emotions are an important factor in human communication. Among many methods of recognizing emotions, EEG is widely used because it has high temporal resolution and it is impossible to disguise intentionally. However, it is necessary to acquire new user data and construct the personal Emotion recognition model since EEG varies widely among individuals. The conventional methods lack practicality because it builds a different model for every new user data. Our method builds a model in a single training using new user data. To reduce the number of new user data for training and to relieve the burden of EEG measurement, we adapt existing user data. We absorb the individual differences in EEG between a new user and existing users by domain adaptation using a small number of new user data and construct a model by deep neural networks. From the experiments, we confirmed that the proposed method performs as well as the conventional methods, even though it is built with single training using new user data. © 2022 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
