This paper presents a practical methodology for optimizing the geometry of electrical grounding grids at industrial frequencies of 50Hz and 60Hz, integrating advanced calculation techniques and evolutionary algorithms to improve the safety and operational performance of electrical grounding systems. The proposed approach is particularly beneficial for industrial automation and control systems, where effective grounding is necessary to maintain system reliability and prevent downtime. This methodology employs mathematical modeling and computational tools to optimize grid parameters, ensuring compliance with safety standards while reducing operational costs, thus contributing to the overall efficiency of automated systems in industrial environments. The study reports a reduction of up to 66% in the number of vertical rods and 40% in horizontal conductors compared to traditional methods. These results indicate that the proposed methodology can significantly reduce material usage and costs while maintaining electrical safety in accordance with regulatory standards, making it applicable to a wide range of industrial settings, including substations and automated facilities. © 2025 The Authors

Organizations must improve their competitiveness due to global competition and free market. Organizational culture and continuous improvement are one of the main factors used not only to face the competitiveness in the free market but also to improve organizational performance and vision and mission achievement. Moreover, the organizational culture also has an important element for determining the direction of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, many MSMEs currently do not pay attention to their organizational culture so that difficulties emerge in determining the right direction and policy. To solve the problems, this research aimed to determine the companies' organizational culture by using organizational culture assessment instrument (OCAI) based on knowledge management system (KMS) in order to provide recommendations. In the developing the system, the researchers conducted surveys to several MSMEs and invite experts and practitioners to conduct the process of knowledge capture and literature study and to achieve the best organizational culture recommendations on MSMEs. This research produced a software used for determining the organizational culture based on KMS and OCAI principles. The developed software was tested to several companies and MSMEs to obtain results with a very high level of accuracy in providing recommendations. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Hydroponics is a method of growing crops without using soil, with the benefits of controlling the environment and nutrients, conserving water, and reducing labor. The applied technology is used to improve results that have consistency. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the IoT devices and platforms used in the development of IoT-based hydroponics. Data obtained from the website *** and *** from 2016 to 2021. This study is a literature review using the PRISMA method. This method is used for literature review using a systematic and structured basic framework. The results of this study indicate that the variables measured are Temperature, Potential Hydrogen (pH), Total Dissolve Solid, Water Temperature, Humidity, UV, Carbon Dioxide, Soil Moisture and Electrical Conductivity. The device used is the ESP8266, Arduino, and Raspberry PI with the MySQL, Thingspeak, Firebase, Domoticz, and Wyliodrin IoT Platforms. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

As it is known that the city government of Palembang has implemented e-government, but how much e-government can help the Palembang city government to interact between the government and all levels of society including the poor in Palembang city. In its application, the condition of e-government services is still insufficient for the infrastructure to support e-government services for the poor in Palembang city. To design e-government services such as good digital population services, it is necessary to design IS / IT services for people in Palembang City with the Service Design stage in the 2011 Version of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework so that they can be accepted by all levels of society including the poor in Palembang city. This study uses a qualitative approach. The results of this research are in the form of a digital population service information system design such as administrative and population services, Family Hope program (PKH) services and digital archive storage services based on the Service Design stages in ITIL Version 2011 that have been carried out, namely the Service Catalog Management process and Service Level Management in the form of documents. Advances in genome sequencing technologies generate massive amounts of sequence data that are increasingly analyzed and shared through public repositories. On-demand infrastructure services on cloud computing platforms enable the processing of such large-scale genomic sequence data in distributed processing environments with a significant reduction in analysis time. However, parallel processing on cloud computing platforms presents many challenges to researchers, even skillful bioinformaticians. In particular, it is difficult to design a computing architecture optimized to reduce the cost of computing and disk storage as genomic data analysis pipelines often employ many heterogeneous tools with different resource requirements. To address these issues, we developed GenomeFlow, a tool for automated development of computing architecture and resource optimization on Google Cloud Platform, which allows users to process a large number of samples at minimal cost. We outline multiple use cases of GenomeFlow demonstrating its utility to significantly reduce computing time and cost associated with analyzing genomic and transcriptomic data from hundreds to tens of thousands of samples from several consortia. Here, we describe a step-by-step protocol on how to use GenomeFlow for a common genomic data processing task. We introduce this example protocol geared toward a bioinformatician with little experience in cloud computing. © 2025, CC BY.

The usability of a prosthetic hand difers significantly from that of a real ***,the complexity of manipulation increases as the number of degrees of freedom to be controlled increases,making manipulation with biological signals extremely *** overcome this problem,users need to select a grasping posture that is adaptive to the object and a stable grasping method that prevents the object from *** previous studies,these have been left to the operating skills of the user,which is extremely difficult to *** this study,we demonstrate how stable and adaptive grasping can be achieved according to the object regardless of the user's operation *** required grasping technique is achieved by determining the correlation bet ween the motor output and each sensor through the interaction between the prosthetic hand and the surrounding stimuli,such as myoelectricity,sense of touch,and grasping *** agents of the 16 DOF robot hand were trained with the myoelectric signals of six participants,including one child with a congenital forearm ***,each agent could open and close the hand in response to the myoeletric stimuli and could accomplish the object pickup *** the tasks,the agents successfully identified grasping patterns suitable for practical and stable positioning of the *** addition,the agents were able to pick up the object in a similar posture regardless of the partiipant,suggesting that the hand was optimized by evolutionary computation to a posture that prevents the object from being dropped.

Medical Gas is an important component in the treatment of patients with COVID-19 disease. Medical gas is used to help COVID-19 patients to reduce the effects of respiratory disorders by providing oxygen ventilators to patients. With the surge in typical COVID-19 sufferers as of July 2021, the need for Oxygen in hospitals is getting higher. This is when the control and monitoring of medical gases in hospitals are late because the integrated system is very dangerous. Therefore, a system that can be used to control and monitor medical gases in hospitals that are integrated and automated and can be monitored by the Government and Medical Gas Producers. This is useful for anticipating the lack of availability of Medical Gas in hospitals. In this study, the system used IoT systems as a base in delivery and control. This system uses Arduino as a minimum system that reads the press sensor on the Medical Gas tube and regulates the valve. The data obtained is then sent to the Local Server to be processed and delivered to the Hospital Officer. Local Servers also send the data to cloud servers to be monitored by the government funds of several medical gas producers. This design can help in the process of controlling and monitoring Medical Gases in hospitals in hopes of minimizing the risk of delays in supplying medical gases to hospitals. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. Addition units are present across many computational kernels inherent in various error-tolerant applications, including machine learning, signal, image, and video processing. Notably, adder compressors are the target when high speed and low power are the main design concerns. This work introduces energy-efficient structures of 3-2 approximate adder compressors (Ax3-2) and three distinct versions of 4-2 approximate adder compressors (Ax4-2). We compared our proposed Ax3-2 and Ax4-2 compressors with state-of-the-art energy-efficient approximate adder compressors (AxACs). Both Ax3-2 and Ax4-2 models passed through rigorous tests as standalone units. Furthermore, we integrated the Ax4-2 models into an essential application kernel appearing in video coding, i.e., the Sum Squared Differences (SSD) video accelerator. We introduce Ax3-2 and Ax4-2 that yield a new Pareto front concerning both energy-quality and area-quality trade-offs, thereby demonstrating a marked improvement over the prevailing state-of-the-art energy-efficient AxACs. © 2023 IEEE.

Heart rate monitoring is widely used as a general procedure to examine fetal health condition. Fetal heart rate can be used to identified possibilities of fetal anomaly and warn the obstetrician to provide immediate intervention before any further abnormalities. The purpose of this research is to compare fetal heart rate detection result using envelope extraction and Shannon energy envelope method. There are 115 fetal phonocardiography and maternal phonocardiography that is used in this research. The dataset was obtained from Hafez Hospital, Shiraz University of Medical Science. Envelope extraction method can be used to detect fetal heart rate signal with 89.2% accuracy for all fetal phonocardiography signal while Shannon energy envelope method can be used to detect fetal heart rate signal with 88.3% accuracy for all fetal phonocardiography signal. © 2019 IEEE.

Brazil is the second country in the world in aesthetic surgical procedures, with 905,000 procedures, being behind only the U.S., according to information corresponding to the year 2011 from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (BSPS). Given this scenario, we chose to study the adipose cells, which are a organ with intense metabolic and endocrine activity. Accumulated in excess adipocytes causes the disadvantages metabolic and endocrine in the organism, leading to obesity in general and located. This research referred to obesity marked by deposition in the abdominal area, that is denominated central or androide obesity, in the case of a localized adiposity. The objective of the research was to analyze the effects of therapeutic ultrasound and medium frequency current in this particular type of adiposity. The therapeutic protocol consisted of the utilization therapy of therapeutic ultrasound 3 MHz and medium frequency current (1 kHz, with Bursts of 2 ms), performed in ten sessions of 40-minute each. The sample consisted of 16 women, of whom 14 have finalized treatment. The assessment instruments used were: percentage of total body fat by bioimpedance, skinfold measurement in the region where localized adiposity was. We observed the reduction in measures measured in abdominal circumference and percentage decrease in total body fat measured on a digital scale bipolar bioimpedance, as well as the decrease measured by skinfold plicometer in all patients submitted to treatment. The results of submission to the treatment of Combined Therapy can be considered satisfactory, due the record in reducing the parameters analyzed, despite being necessary to a more thorough study on the subject and scientific substantiation in a larger sample.
