The Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) will be the next generation gamma-ray observatory, which will consist of three kinds of telescopes of different sizes. Among those, the Large Size Telescope (LST) will be the most sensitive in the low energy range starting from 20 GeV. The prototype LST (LST-1) proposed for CTA was inaugurated in October 2018 in the northern hemisphere site, La Palma (Spain), and is currently in its commissioning phase. MAGIC is a system of two gamma-ray Cherenkov telescopes of the current generation, located approximately 100 m away from LST-1, that have been operating in stereoscopic mode since 2009. Since LST-1 and MAGIC can observe the same air shower events, we can compare the brightness of showers, estimated energies of gamma rays, and other parameters event by event, which can be used to cross-calibrate the telescopes. Ultimately, by performing combined analyses of the events triggering the three telescopes, we can reconstruct the shower geometry more accurately, leading to better energy and angular resolutions, and a better discrimination of the background showers initiated by cosmic rays. For that purpose, as part of the commissioning of LST-1, we performed joint observations of established gamma-ray sources with LST-1 and MAGIC. Also, we have developed Monte Carlo simulations for such joint observations and an analysis pipeline which finds event coincidence in the offline analysis based on their timestamps. In this work, we present the first detection of an astronomical source, the Crab Nebula, with combined observation of LST-1 and MAGIC. Fuzzy logic can be used to represent obscurity based on terms such as high, old, hot, cold, and so on. Fuzzy logic can extend the range of truth values to all real numbers in intervals between 0 and 1. Numbers in this interval represent the possibility that the statement given is 'true' or 'wrong'. The use of fuzzy logic can be used in everyday life, such as in the fields of medicine, engineering, agriculture, transportation, environmental science and also in economic and business applications. As in this study, it was used to calculate the ideal amount of 'tips' for restaurant waiters based on the service provided by restaurant waiters. The method used in this study is to use Mamdani fuzzy logic with the process of defuzzyfication using the Centroid of area (COA). The results of this study are that it can be determined the value crisp of giving tips to restaurant waiters is 45 thousand rupiah provided that the service provided for service = 7 (Excellent) and food service = 8 (Delicious)..

The initial conditions found in infrared dark clouds (IRDCs) provide insights on how high-mass stars and stellar clusters form. We have conducted high-angular resolution and high-sensitivity observations toward thirty-nine massive IRDC clumps, which have been mosaicked using the 12 and 7 m arrays from the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. The targets are 70 μm dark massive (220-4900 M _⊙), dense (>10⁴ cm⁻³), and cold (∼10-20 K) clumps located at distances between 2 and 6 kpc. We identify an unprecedented number of 839 cores, with masses between 0.05 and 81 M _⊙ using 1.3 mm dust continuum emission. About 55% of the cores are low-mass (<1 M _⊙), whereas ≲1% (7/839) are high-mass (≳27 M _⊙). We detect no high-mass prestellar cores. The most massive cores (MMC) identified within individual clumps lack sufficient mass to form high-mass stars without additional mass feeding. We find that the mass of the MMCs is correlated with the clump surface density, implying denser clumps produce more massive cores. There is no significant mass segregation except for a few tentative detections. In contrast, most clumps show segregation once the clump density is considered instead of mass. Although the dust continuum emission resolves clumps in a network of filaments, some of which consist of hub-filament systems, the majority of the MMCs are not found in the hubs. Our analysis shows that high-mass cores and MMCs have no preferred location with respect to low-mass cores at the earliest stages of high-mass star formation. © 2023. The Author(s). There are several ways to deal with security issues of confidential data sent via the internet, including using cryptographic techniques and steganography. Steganography is the science and art of concealing information / messages in a media in such a way that its existence is not detected by other parties who are not entitled to the information. Instead, cryptography disguises the meaning of a message, but does not hide that there is a message because the file looks suspicious. The Steganography technique used here was End Of File (EOF). The EOF technique described how to add data or files at the end of the image file. For this technique, the size of data or files that will be hidden could be larger than the size of the image file. The hidden data will be inserted at the end of the file so that it will not affect the image. This steganography application is also equipped with a cryptographic function Data Encryption Standard (DES) at the time of insertion of data that functions as a generator code and encrypts data, so that the security of a data in the file is more protected and protected from those who are not entitled to know the data. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

There are many object-oriented software quality measurement techniques. One of them is CK metric. This paper utilizes CK metrics to measure qualities per version of an open source software namely Statcato. Measurements are done in each class, each version of the software. The measurement is used to analyze the quality of the software. This paper concludes that the quality of software has improved during its lifecycle, although its features increase. © 2018 IEEE.

Augmented Reality is a technology that allows users to see the real world, with virtual objects placed on it or combined with the real world. Augmented Reality itself can be applied to various things, including as an educational media. In the field of education, technology can be used a culture introduction to society. One part of Indonesian culture is traditional houses. Traditional house is a building that symbolizes the culture of the local community. In North Sumatra itself, there are several traditional houses that have different forms. The use of Vuforia SDK in the construction of this application can display augmented objects in the form of 3-dimentional objects and also provide information on the house. This application will run on the Android mobile platform to make it easier for users to access it. COVID-19 makes the community must carry out activities such as school, work, and worship at home. However, the long-running activities from home make people experience boredom which can lead to stress. On the other side, the entertainment obtained by the public through smartphones by reading articles by their interests can reduce boredom. This paper proposed a rules-based decision support system to help the people to make choices of their activities from home while COVID-19 e rules-based approach for make an application decision support system. Ruled base used in application to selected process through characteristics following the interests of the community. This decision support system is implemented in mobile web applications. The system can display articles based on interests by questions or statements through the front end system. The results showed that most users of the application in a happy condition while working from home.

Rationale & Objective:We aimed to study the comparative effectiveness of percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent and coronary artery bypass grafting in patients receiving dialysis. Study Design:This was a retrospective observational cohort study. Setting & Participants:This population-based study identified patients receiving dialysis hospitalized for coronary revascularization between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2015, in the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database. Exposures:Patients received percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent versus coronary artery bypass grafting. Outcomes:The study outcomes were all-cause mortality, in-hospital mortality, and repeat revascularization. Analytical Approach:Propensity scores were used to match patients. Cox proportional hazards models and logistic regression models were constructed to examine associations between revascularization strategies and mortality. Interval Cox models were fitted to estimate time-varying hazards during different periods. Results:A total of 1,840 propensity score-matched patients receiving dialysis were analyzed. Coronary artery bypass grafting was associated with higher in-hospital mortality (coronary artery bypass grafting vs percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent; crude mortality rate 12.5% vs 3.3%; adjusted OR, 5.22; 95% CI, 3.42-7.97; < 0.001) and longer hospitalization duration (median [IQR], 20 [14-30] days vs 3 [2-8] days; < 0.001). After discharge, repeat revascularization, acute coronary syndrome, and repeat hospitalization all occurred more frequently in the percutaneous coronary intervention with drug-eluting stent group. Importantly, with a median follow-up of 2.8 years, coronary artery bypass grafting was significantly associated with a higher risk of all-cause overall mortality (adjusted HR, 1.19; 95% CI, 1.05-1.35; = 0.006) in the multivariable Cox proportional hazard model. Some disabilities caused by sensory malfunction, accident, or congenital disorder could cause people difficulty in grasping the computer mouse. A well-known substitute uses an inertial sensor to monitor the body's orientation. This paper evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of different methods of holding the sensor. There are two modes of holding the sensor, the grasping mode and the attached mode;we also evaluate a mouse as a baseline. The attached mode works by placing the sensor on the back of user's hand. The quantitative and qualitative evaluation procedure is based on ISO/TS 9241 part 411: Ergonomics of human-system interaction standard. The test consists of four levels of difficulty and indicates that the throughput and task completion times were not statistically different between grasping and attached mode. We also found that grasping mode and attached mode did not show significantly statistical differences in comfort and fatigue based on the questionnaires. The results also suggest that the orientation of the hand used in grasping and attached modes is suitable only for lower-impact computer use. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The next generation facility for gamma-ray ground-based observations is the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) observatory, which comprises three types of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (IACTs). The Large-Sized Telescopes (LSTs) of CTA are the largest telescope type with a mirror dish of 23 m diameter. They cover the low energy end of the accessible gamma-ray energies for IACTs, starting from about 20 GeV up to a few TeV. The first LST prototype, known as LST-1, was officially inaugurated at the Observatorio del Roque de Los Muchachos in La Palma (Canary Islands, Spain) in 2018 and has since performed calibration observations of various known gamma-ray sources. Additionally, the site houses the MAGIC telescopes, two 17 m IACTs situated approximately 100 m away from LST-1, which have been performing stereo observations since 2009. Currently, joint observations between LST-1 and MAGIC are being carried on, and the data taken independently by the two IACT systems is analyzed by combining events via software. However, this method increases the energy threshold, as it discards all but the relatively high-energy events triggered by all three telescopes. To address this issue, we have developed a novel hardware stereo trigger system between LST-1 and MAGIC, which is capable of handling events triggered by any-two out of the three telescopes.
