The pandemic that has not ended has an impact on changing the educational paradigm. Existing conditions demand to continue to use virtual learning. During the epidemic, this study will examine students' demand for interactive multimedia in virtual learning. The interviews reveal that the media that teachers provide in virtual learning during this pandemic has limits. Data was gathered through interviews and questionnaires given to teachers and students. The student requirements questionnaire reveals that interactive multimedia is the most effective instructional medium for pupils. This study is part of a larger investigation of the evolution of multimedia learning during a pandemic. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

One of the major concerns in environmental studies is understanding the factors and processes that control and affect water quality. This study aimed to examine the causal relationship between land use/land cover and water quality in Tonle Sap Lake, one of the largest fresh water lakes in Southeast Asia and also to monitor the spatial distribution of water quality in the scale of the lake basin. The approach combines spatial data analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS) and statistics to establish the strength of relationship between land use/land cover derived from classifying Landsat data and water-quality within Tonle Sap subcatchments. These analyses produced indicators (Kendall's tau) showing the strength of correlation between percentages of land use/land cover type as predictor variable and median of water quality parameters as response variable. The retrieval of optically active constituents from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrophotometer (MODIS) was done using bio-optical algorithm applied in turbid inland waters based on the parameterization of the inherent optical properties - absorption and backscattering to come up with the modeled reflectance spectra, which was later, used in an inversion model to obtain the estimated concentration map of Total Suspended Sediments (TSS) and Chlorophyll-a from remote sensing reflectance of the multispectral images. Rank correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis results reveal the statistical relationships between agriculture lands, grasslands, forest covers and population density with TN, PO4P, NO3 and TSS. The results from remote sensing analysis exhibit quite appreciable variation in spatial distribution of water quality which helps identify the spatial aspects of the lake ecosystem more clearly and cost-effectively than point measurements.

Artificial Immune Systems (AISs) are composed of techniques inspired by immunology. The clonal selection principle ensures the organism adaptation to fight invading antigens by an immune response activated by the binding of antigens and antibodies. As an immune response can be elicited even when the binding between an antigen and an antibody is not perfect, an approximate binding might suffice, and a Fuzzy Logic mechanism might be the most appropriate mechanism to control such process. This paper presents a novel hybrid model based on concepts of Immune and Fuzzy Systems with applications to pattern recognition problems. The preliminary results obtained here suggest the proposed model is a promising pattern recognition tool. © 2010 IEEE.

The objective of this study is to create a services design of E-Government system that can help Indonesian government to resolve some problems such as diversity platform and application. It causes the island applications that can make decision support processes is not well happen. In this study, we use literature review as an approach to discuss the phenomenon. It is performed by identifying, evaluating, and combining information from several other studies which relevant with this study's research questions. We use services oriented analysis and design approach to discussing the phenomenon. The ability of Service-oriented Architecture to connect multiple services between diversity systems and it can help the enterprise application travelling in Indonesian government. The case in this study is travelling system in Indonesia Government. The results in this study are the conceptual services for Travelling System using SOA approach and ESB Technology. Humanoid robot is able to mimic repetitive activities done by human. By having them, humans can focus on tasks that require extra focus, while leaving the simple one to be done by humanoid robot. To extend the functionality of the 3D-printed upper-body humanoid robot, a camera along with a machine learning algorithm is implemented. In this case, their responses can be categorized based on the gesture it sees. In this paper, the authors evaluate the performance of an upper-body humanoid robot that implements CVZone. The method of evaluation is conducted under three different distances, and each distance has three different brightness levels. It is found that the success rate is highest at the shortest distance which is 50 cm, and under medium-lighted environment. As the distance increases, the hand gesture gets harder to differentiate. At the same time, low or high brightness environment makes the image that contain hand gesture hard to interpret, thus lowering the success rate. Finally, hand gesture that involves third and little finger has the lowest success rate of 75%, while the movement that involves three fingers simultaneously has the second lowest success rate of 80.9%. Meanwhile, simple hand gesture such as clenched-fist or lifting a thumb has 100% success rate under all condition. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The Hospital is the most complex and representative establishment of the society and nowadays, among the most costly ones. ICTs may rationalize personnel-efforts and reduce energy and material-wasting, to enable health-care coverage, of unprivileged social-groups. The aim of the paper is to present the most effective and efficient means and tools, reducing unnecessary cost, as Mobile IP-network, Service-oriented architecture, provided to other components, through a communication protocol, over a network, Ubiquitous-computing, Femtocells, small, low-power cellular base-stations, typically designed for use in a hospital-department, ward-room or unit, Wireless mesh-networks, made-up of radio-nodes, organized in a mesh-topology, supporting intra-hospital data-exchange, training Multimedia-sharing over wireless networks, for real-time or compressed data-streaming over IP/wireless-networks for communication or archiving. Green-computing in wireless-networks, are limiting people and material intrahospital 'circulation' and, thus, they are enabling the necessary environmentally friendly and smooth procedures. Standardization, policies and regulations for green communications and computing, in 'green' Hospitals are indispensable and ICTs enable procedures optimization, solving energy- and material-waste problems, reducing the overall operational-cost, in the emerging 'smart, green and networked' Hospital, in favor of the people in need. © 2017 ITU.

Currently, there are a lot of measurement data on different items collected over time. The GMANOVA model is appropriate for analyzing the trends in such data, in order to analyze some longitudinal data collected on different items simultaneously, we need to create separate GMANOVA models, but separate GMANOVA models cannot reveal the relationships between items. Also, if we try to apply one model to all of these data, the problem arises that there are too many parameters and the covariance structure is too large. Therefore, we propose an extended GMANOVA model and two estimation algorithms. The proposed model’s covariance matrix has a Kronecker structure. Therefore, because the estimator cannot be uniquely determined using the log-likelihood, we propose two parameter estimation algorithms. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this research will show a method for sound-recognition with artificial neural network backpropagation concept. The artificial neural network use sigmoid activation function to all layer. Steps to the extraction, first, divide into ten component, second do the Fast Fourier Transform, third continue with Power Spectral Density, fourth count the average. The end result show that the pattern will recognize by the Artificial Neural Network. Extraction performed, as well as Fourier transform, and also calculate the power density, and then process them with artificial neural networks, allows the system to do the identification of voice data Gamelan Bonang using In this research will show a method for sound-recognition with artificial neural network backpropagation concept. © 2010 IEEE.

When I subjects answer questions regarding J variables K times, the data can be stored in a three-mode data set of size I× J× K. Among the various component analysis approaches to summarize such data, Three-mode Principal Component Analysis (3MPCA) is often used. 3MPCA expresses a three-mode data set by means of A-, B-, and C-mode components and a core array, but this approach is not suitable for predicting data at unobserved time points. To handle this issue, the current study suggests a fixed orthonormal polynomial basis for the 3MPCA model. Briefly, we fix the C-mode component matrix with an orthonormal polynomial basis. More specifically, i) measurement time points, and ii) log transformation of the measurement time points were used as an orthonormal polynomial basis. The use of our proposed methods was demonstrated by applying them to a longitudinal data set collected from patients with depression. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Sensor networks are being used in several emerging applications not even imagined some years ago due to advances in sensing, computing, and communication techniques. However, these advances also pose various challenges that must be faced. One important challenge is related to the autonomous capability needed to setup and adapt the networks, which decentralizes the control of the network, saving communication and energy resources. Middleware technology helps in addressing this kind of problem, but there is still a need for additional solutions, particularly considering dynamic changes in users' requirements and operation conditions. This paper presents an agent-based framework acting as an integral part of a middleware to support autonomous setup and adaptation of sensor networks. It adds interoperability among heterogeneous nodes in the network, by means of autonomous behavior and reasoning. These features also address the needs for system setup and adaptations in the network, reducing the communication overhead and decentralizing the decision making mechanism. Additionally, preliminary results are also presented. © 2009 IEEE.
