Solar Dryer Dome (SDD), an agricultural facility for drying and preserving agricultural products, needs a smart ability to predict the future indoor climate accurately, including indoor temperature and indoor humidity, in order to optimize electricity usage. To overcome these challenges, deep learning has been a widely adopted method. This research aims to forecast the future indoor climate using time series data by implementing a sequence-to-sequence (seq2seq) architecture, which is mostly used in Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks. The two proposed seq2seq models, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) seq2seq and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) seq2seq, have proven to be superior to the adapted LSTM and GRU. The results show that the seq2seq GRU model outperforms the adapted GRU baseline model by an average difference of 0.03013 in MAE and the seq2seq LSTM model outperforms the adapted LSTM baseline model by an average difference of 0.00941 in MAE. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first implementation of seq2seq models for indoor climate forecasting on the Room Climate dataset. © 2022 IEEE.

In today's digitalization era, asset management has evolved following the rapid adoption of information systems and digital technologies. In the maintenance phase of the asset, Digital Twin (DT) emerges as an effective approach to improve failure recognition and structural damage prediction through DT-driven Prognostic and Health Monitoring (PHM). As a result, DT allows asset manager to proactively plan maintenance strategy to improve the availability of the assets. However, to reduce asset downtime in a cost-effective and time efficient manner, DT for maintenance phase needs to be integrated with other software systems that manage the provision of maintenance service and spare part such as computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Nevertheless, many of the developed DT in PHM were not equipped with semantic data model and hence, lacks interoperability with other systems (e.g., other DT or non-DT system) and limits the effective use of the DT. To qualify as an effective DT, it needs a semantical-enabled interface to connect with data and models from various domain to enable DT-driven decision-making. This paper leverages a rule-based ontology reasoning model to enhance DT interoperability with other maintenance software systems. The results depicts that the developed model paves a way for an effective use of DT-driven system in asset maintenance management. © 2022 IEEE.

One of the key challenges in e-commerce is how to provide relevant and personalized product recommendations to users. To achieve this, data analysis and text processing techniques are essential. This research aims to analyze product descriptions based on purchase history and product labels on e-commerce platforms. The objectives of this study are: Analyzing and clustering product descriptions using clustering techniques such as K-Means Clustering. This helps in understanding the patterns and relationships between the various product descriptions present. Using the results from clustering to develop an effective recommendation engine. This recommendation engine will utilize collaborative filtering techniques, where product recommendations are suggested based on similarities between the user's purchase history and relevant product clusters. By analyzing data and developing a recommendation engine based on product descriptions, it is expected to improve the relevance and accuracy of product recommendations for users. This will not only improve the user's shopping experience but can also increase sales and customer satisfaction on e-commerce platforms.

The increasing number of articles available in the digital library will require quite a long time and accuracy in sorting articles according to needs. The use of artificial neural networks in finding the right articles as needed through topic segmentation applications will helps this process in terms of speed and accuracy. Several neural network models used in segmentation topic applications include Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The Transformer model since its introduction in 2017 for Natural Language Processing (NLP) has a better level of accuracy compared to the RNN, CNN and LSTM models. Transformer model research for segmentation topic applications, especially articles in Indonesian language, is still very limited. This paper will discuss the use of the Transformer model in segmentation topic applications for Indonesian-language articles. The experimental results found that the accuracy produced by the Transformer model was higher than previous LSTM model with the WindowDiff value generated by the model proposed using Transformer is 0.249 and the LSTM baseline model is 0.363, while the PP! value generated by the proposed model is 0.279 and the LSTM baseline model is 0.394. © 2023 The Authors. Technological developments have resulted in a trend of cryptocurrencies that use a technology called blockchain to create and record all transactions made into a digital ledger. Along with the emergence of the trend of cryptocurrencies, this development has also resulted in crimes that hit the digital world, such as data leakage and cyber espionage. This threat can be prevented by applying blockchain technology to the database that has been used. Therefore, we need a system that can facilitate the use of blockchain technology and can process data from an existing relational database into a blockchain-based database. The system developed in this study was built with the FastAPI framework that uses the Python programming language and the React framework that uses the Javascript programming language. This system was tested using Katalon and Wireshark software to perform throughput testing and man-in-the-middle attacks. Evaluation of this system is assessed based on the average throughput time and also the results of Wireshark packet capture. The system designed in this research is expected to help overcome interoperability problems when using blockchain and improve relational database integrity. The results of the test show that the system is safe from man-in-the-middle attacks while sending data through API and has a faster throughput time than BigchainDB system by 4.151 seconds.

Quantum encoding is a process to transform classical information into quantum states. It plays a crucial role in using quantum algorithms to solve classical problems, especially in quantum machine learning tasks. There are many QE methods. It is very difficult to determine which QE method to choose to improve classification accuracy. Therefore, this paper will analyze several QE methods. Training and testing on Iris flower datasets were performed in a architecture quantum circuit and some performances parameters were evaluated. The expected result is that we can compare the classification accuracy of some of these Quantum encodings. © 2022 IEEE.

Traditional perception systems for TJA (Traffic Jam Assistance) are mostly implemented by fusing images with radar or lidar. As computer vision techniques become more powerful, cameras can almost replace the need for radar and lidar in perception tasks, which reduces the hardware cost of the system. In this research, we propose a camera-only perception system for TJA, which is able to provide the information of the vehicles ahead and the drivable area. The proposed system has been evaluated through real-world scenario sequences, and proved that it achieves high robustness, which is highly possible to be adopted for TJA development. © 2023 IEEE.

Preacher assignments to mosques in Kampar Regency have often been inefficient due to geographical distance and compatibility issues, limiting effective religious outreach. This study aims to optimize preacher assignments by applying the Divisive Hierarchical Clustering (DHC) algorithm. Analysis was conducted on a dataset of 250 records, clustering preachers and mosques based on geographical proximity and relevant attributes. Initial clustering modelling produced the highest silhouette score of 0.336. Dimensionality reduction using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) significantly improved the silhouette score to 0.8197, reflecting enhanced clustering quality. The elbow method validated eight clusters as optimal, with a value of 292.33. Research findings demonstrate that preachers can be effectively placed in geographically closer mosques aligned with their profiles, reducing inefficiencies. Business intelligence techniques visualized the clustering results, providing decision-makers with insights into geographical distribution and facilitating improved assignment strategies. These findings hold substantial implications for optimizing religious outreach in Kampar by minimizing logistical challenges and increasing engagement effectiveness. © 2024 IEEE.

Not only common issues on object detection task need to be deal with, for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) applications, small object is one of the critical problems that needs to be solved. YOLOv7 is a powerful network architecture that provides high efficiency and accuracy object detection results. This paper adopts YOLOv7 as an object detection model for two different kinds of targets, one is vehicle, and the other is ocean flotsam. By training the model with open datasets and fine-tuning the model with self-collected datasets, we prove through sequences collected from real-world scenarios that YOLOv7 is able to provide robust and accurate object detection results, including vehicles and ocean flotsam, with real-time efficiency. Based on such experimental result, we confirmed that YOLOv7 can be the baseline for object detection model development. © 2023 IEEE.

Quantifying the effect of mutations in the BRCA1 gene is useful for understanding their clinical consequences on breast cancer. Machine learning models can be applied to predict the landscape of protein variant effects that might not be always accessible by experiments. In this work, we propose a simple semi-supervised learning method using a Gaussian mixture model to predict ~90% of the unlabeled missense variants of the BRCA1 gene collected from the ClinVar database. High-quality embeddings are used as a feature of the protein sequences, extracted using the latest pre-trained transformer-based language protein model. A statistical test show that the protein embeddings are effective and robust for predicting pathogenicity. Further, the lower representations of the features are then fed into the semi-supervised model. The prediction performance of the model only for the labeled testing data achieves an AUC score and an accuracy of 79.27% and 71.58%, respectively. Using our defined pathogenic probability score, we find that ~94% of variants in our unlabeled dataset are well-separated into either benign or pathogenic classes according to that scoring. Our scores obtain a moderate Spearman rank correlation with the results of established unsupervised variant effect models. Finally, our approach can potentially be developed for more accurate and biologically reliable predictions of the variant effects. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
