In this paper, considering photovoltaic/battery sourced microgrids with grid-forming droop control in the load interface converter for power management, two alternative converter topologies for the battery are tested: dual boost interleaved converter and three-phase interleaved converter. These topologies are based on the conventional bidirectional buckboost converter and their employment is to allow a reduction in component sizing, improvement in power quality, and higher output voltage. Analysis of the operation of these converters in different operation modes of the microgrid is carried out, including battery normal charging, battery normal discharging, battery charging limit, and maximum state-of-charge, through simulations in MATLAB/Simulink environment. Results suggest advantages such as reduced stress on switches and battery charging current ripple for the two interleaved converters tested and the potential implementation of higher output voltage for the dual boost converter.

In this paper, robotic regrasping is considered with the goal of achieving dexterous manipulation. The strategy using quick wrist snap is based on human regrasping, and involves rotating the grasped object due to the inertial force while maintaining the contact state. The posture of the grasped object is measured by high-speed vision in real time and is used for posture control. Experimental results are shown where regrasping of a stick-type object in the direction contrary to gravity can be achieved by a high-speed robot hand.

This paper presents a solution for counting fruit in agricultural greenhouses using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV s). Initially, a heuristic based on Simulated Annealing was used to optimize the UAV's trajectory, ensuring efficient coverage of the beds. Next, digital image processing (DIP) techniques were implemented to count the fruit, including depth segmentation, application of bounding boxes, color filtering, and element counting. The DIP accuracy was evaluated in multiple scenarios and the results indicate high reliability in fruit counting, with the potential to optimize agricultural operations and provide valuable information to producers. Possible future improvements could include further refinements in image processing to increase the accuracy of counting other fruits. Ultimately, this work contributes to the advancement of automation in agriculture by offering a viable and efficient solution for counting fruit in greenhouses using UAV s.
