Rocket launch centers are crucial in technological development across various fields, including meteorology, long-distance real-time communications, geoprocessing, and satellite operations. However, one of the challenges in tracking probing rockets is accurately identifying their position from the moment of launch until the initial seconds, due to ground noise that interferes with traditional radar location systems. In this study is proposed an innovative method to precisely determine the distance between the rocket and the ground telemetry station. We utilize onboard telemetry signals processed by the Acquisition and Processing Data Trajectory (APDtraj) system, developed by Delsis Aerospace for the Launch Center. This system enables the identification of the rocket's position both on the ground and during the early stages of flight, using telemetry data processed by APDtraj. This monitoring equipment alone calculated the distance between the Telemetry Station and the rocket just moments before launch lift-off with an error of only 16.844 meters from the actual position of origin. Based on our studies, we were able to measure the radial distance and location between the rocket and the telemetry station just four seconds after launch, even without reliable radar information, which is often disrupted by ground noise. This technological advancement not only enhances the efficiency of rocket launch operations but also expands overall tracking capabilities.

A factor that must be taken into account in the modern design of power electronics converters is the reliability of dc-link capacitors, but traditional condition monitoring methods require extra hardware that increase the overall cost. This work proposes and experimentally evaluates a condition monitoring method for electrolytic dc-link capacitors in three-phase front-end diode rectifier motor drives which does not require hardware modifications. The presented method uses an artificial neural network (ANN) to predict the capacitance value of the dc-link capacitor bank. Based on time-domain parameters, the ANN is trained and evaluated using an error analysis to determine the effectiveness of the proposed method with a printed circuit board capacitor jig and aged samples. The proposed method is evaluated in several operating conditions and the results show that the prediction errors are less than 2.4% and that the method is able to monitor the degradation level of the dc-link capacitor bank.

This article presents the mathematical model of a 2 KW DBI (Dual Buck Inverter) converter that can be used in renewable energy applications. The inverter operating modes are described with the equations that model their behavior with the activation signals of the MOSFETs. The switching model is built. Simulation results are presented by applying linear control through a PI controller and GPC (Generalized Predictive Controller) hybridized in PID structure;simulation results are recorded in PSIM © verifying the control response due to changes in the load and the input DC voltage level.

Injectable Platelet-Rich Fibrin in Contact with Bone Substitutes, Porous Zirconia, or Laser-Textured Implant Surfaces: A Detailed Morphological Analysis

The aim of the present study was to perform a detailed morphological analysis of an injectable platelet rich fibrin after combination with two different particulate hydroxyapatite-based granules, a porous zirconia block, and laser-textured zirconia or titanium surfaces. Blood samples were harvested from three participants to prepare the flowable injectable PRF in contact or not with particulate hydroxyapatite (Hap), bone mineral granules (DBBM), porous zirconia blocks, laser-textured titanium or zirconia surfaces. Optical and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to evaluate the fibrin network density, fibrin fibers’ diameter, blood cells, and the interaction of PRF with the biomaterials. Histomorphometry of the flowable PRF was also performed using the hematoxylin–eosin staining protocol. Specimens were independently evaluated by two blinded and well-trained researchers in histomorphometry and microscopy. Particulate Hap and DBBM shown different morphological aspects by SEM analyses since DBBM revealed macro- and micro-scale pores while Hap revealed a dense structure. Hydroxyapatite and DBBM granules were entirely embedded by the fibrin-network in the presence of leukocytes and blood platelets. The zirconia porous structured was filled with PRF and its components. Also, the laser-structured zirconia or implant surfaces were entirely coated with the PRF fibrin network embedding leukocytes and blood platelets. Laser-textured titanium surfaces revealed macro- and micro-scale irregularities that increase the surface area and retention of the injectable PRF. Histomorphometric analyses revealed complementary details on the distribution of lymphocytes, red blood cells, and fibrin associated with platelet aggregation. To model the periodicity of beats, state-of-the-art beat tracking systems use 'post-processing trackers' (PPTs) that rely on several empirically determined global assumptions for tempo transition, which work well for music with a steady tempo. For expressive classical music, however, these assumptions can be too rigid. With two large datasets of Western classical piano music, namely the Aligned Scores and Performances (ASAP) dataset and a dataset of Chopin's Mazurkas (Maz-5), we report on experiments showing the failure of existing PPTs to cope with local tempo changes, thus calling for new methods. In this paper, we propose a new local periodicity-based PPT, called predominant local pulse-based dynamic programming (PLPDP) tracking, that allows for more flexible tempo transitions. Specifically, the new PPT incorporates a method called 'predominant local pulses' (PLP) in combination with a dynamic programming (DP) component to jointly consider the locally detected periodicity and beat activation strength at each time instant. Accordingly, PLPDP accounts for the local periodicity, rather than relying on a global tempo assumption. Compared to existing PPTs, PLPDP particularly enhances the recall values at the cost of a lower precision, resulting in an overall improvement of F1-score for beat tracking in ASAP (from 0.473 to 0.493) and Maz-5 (from 0.595 to 0.838). © 2014 IEEE.

The global agribusiness context faces at the same time challenges of feeding a growing global population that is used to safe and nutritious food, opportunities based on innovation, high technology and efficiency in the agri-food production systems from field to table. Given the context, this article aims to present the main key aspects of the circular economy to agro-industrial cooperatives. These contributions were named key aspects, such as circular and symbiotic practices, competitive advantages, innovation, cooperation and barriers and opportunities. The field presents a problem that few literature in fact discusses circular economy approaches in the context of agro-industrial cooperatives. As a methodological procedure, a literature review was carried out in three databases to obtain relevant documents and thus analyse and discuss some characteristics based on circular economy practices applied in agro-industrial cooperatives. As a result, a diagnosis of the current scenario that agro sector organizations are facing in terms of the main rural activities and sustainable practices that relate to the circular economy;measures taken to generate competitive advantage;innovation behaviour;and how linear and circular business models are being applied in the agroindustry. A framework is presented to show potential routes strategies for closing the cycle in an agro-industrial cooperative. The opportunities are based on the implementation of high technology in the field, the use of bioenergy and the development of new circular business models throughout the agro-value chain. The study has contributions to rural properties and managers of cooperatives in terms of waste reduction, innovation generation and increases in activities and processes based on circular economy. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Simultaneous multislice (SMS) imaging is a one of the acceleration technique of magnetic resonance imaging. SMS requires accurate sensitivity distributions in the slice plane for each receiving coil. This requirement is difficult to satisfy in practice, limiting the applications of this imaging technique. Here, images are reconstructed by applying deep learning and amplitude modulation to each slice image. Simulation experiments show that image reconstruction can be achieved for both real- and complex-valued images. Image quality tends to decrease with increasing number of simultaneously acquired images. It is also shown that a larger difference in the phase modulation coefficients between slices tends to increase the quality of the reconstructed images. Simulation experiments and initial MR imaging experiments show promising results for this method. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In the current day, digital transformation is imperative;both customer demand and market competitiveness are mostly driving that trend. The fourth industrial revolution has also affected the financial sector. One difficulty that has to be addressed is the desire from customers for quick and useful services. Furthermore, banking organizations will have a competitive edge in the current market if they are successful in this digital transformation process. Successful transformation, however, does not happen by accident;in fact, the likelihood of completing this change is seen to be very low, necessitating rigorous planning for a company that is ready for the future. There are several components to the preparation in question, both internal and external. The Fourth Industrial Revolution and its disruptive technologies are emerging massively. With various motivations for its implementation such as elevation of speed, reducing costs, mitigating errors, and other different factors, more and more technology are being employed to solve business problems and increase profit. Through the years, product lifecycles have been shorted as a good reason to reduce production costs and give to consumers the experience of replacing goods in shorter periods. This linear cycle of 'produce-use-dispose' reached a massive success in the last decades, but have started to show lack of sustainability for consumer and industry. This work aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review about the future challenges for Product Lifecycle Management and Sustainable Development, considering the context of Industry 4.0. The expected outcome for this study is to find elements that can support the use of 4.0 technologies in Product Lifecycle Management with a strong background for Sustainable Development. © 2021 The authors and IOS Press.
