Road transportation is the most popular transportation in Thailand, which the top two highest traffic are the region-to-region highways;and then inter-city highways. Therefore, the regular maintenance is required to maintain the good condition due to road safety. The most significant process of bridge inspection procedures is sub structure inspection, which requires visual inspection as an initial step. This process is used to quick determine the damage severity i.e. appearance and crack that may cause damage to the structure strength. The current process requires that the experienced maintenance engineer to be on the field in order to visual inspect and estimate whether the maintenance is required. Yet, due to the limitation of number of expert engineers to be on the field, the photo verification is introduced to assist them so that they are no need on every inspection site. However, using human to verify has no standard and uncontrollable. They need to have experience and good knowledge. As well as it is highly depended on individual decisionmaking skill. Thus, in this paper, the deep learning technique will be presented to assist the expert for quality inspection process of bridge sub structure images. That is using image enhancement and then image splitting and overlapping for image pre-processing. After that applying CNNs for object classification. As a result, the total accuracy is 89% based on 3926 dataset.

This research aims to develop a framework for writing a business plan that support innovation for undergraduate students. The scope of this research is circumscribed to undergraduate students in Thailand. In respect of internet technology advancement and the popularity of internet access of teenagers, the researcher employs e-learning instruction media, which is considered a keystone to reduce educational inequalities. The study particularly introduces an established Nanoka's knowledge creation concept, which consists of Socialisation, Externalisation, Combination and Internalisation. In earlier times, this concept has been verified to create the domain of innovation in business organisation. Remarkably, it has been employed in the process of teaching innovative business plans and creativity management. This process specifically incorporates active learning, which turns the passive role of merely listening to active learners. The framework offers three principal contributions: first, to develop a new educational platform that implements active learning into E-Learning styles;second, to develop of an uncommon conceptual framework that adheres to theory reflecting good practices for innovation creation;third, taking this concept into practice, to help the universities build upon core strengths and students' innovation skills. It is the confluence of all contributions that make for a full-fledged entrepreneurial university. © 2018 IEEE.

Analysis of vegetation in recharge area as climate change mitigation for conserving water springs in Keduang Sub-Watershed

Keduang Sub-Watershed is one of the priority watershed experiencing drought. Drought occurs due to the lack of water resources. The water resources are mostly affected by the climate change phenomenon, causing precipitation by the raising of temperature. The effort of water springs conservation is needed to maintain the existence of water springs. Agroforestry on recharge area was a mitigation effort of the water springs conservation. Mitigation activity for conserving water springs is begun by vegetation analysis in recharge area, relating to the frequency, density, dominance, and the important value index (IVI) of the species. The existence of vegetation in the recharge area has functioned as a protector and regulator of the water system. The study aims to identify the type of vegetation in the recharge area in the Keduang sub-watershed. It was conducted by taking data of all vegetation. The method of the study was a swath line, with a swath measurement of 20m x 20m used to collect data of tree, 10m x 10m to collect data of pole, and 5m x 5m to collect data of seedling. The data were analyzed by analysis of vegetation to get the frequency, density, dominance, and the IVI of species. The result showed that the type of vegetation in the recharge area in the Keduang sub-watershed has an important score of more than 10% consisting of 5 classes. The important score showed that Jati (Tectona grandis) as a tree was the highest followed by Sengon (Albizia falcataria) as a pole, and Johar (Cassia Siamea) as a seedling.

This study focuses on the implementation of business property in real estate market. This is due to inability of the current technology to support the property products. Some people feel uncomfortable to buy houses from the online market. Buyers need to be very careful to deal with the sellers as the houses price is considered quite expensive. On the other hand, improving real estate market is still a challenge. This business still needs a physical representation, although it can be sold from the online market. In this paper, we propose the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) system of virtual reality and drone. We use drone to help scanning the property units and then make 3D models with visual mapping so it can be run in a virtual reality environment, video 360. In real estate, business process can be developed in various ways. Our proposed SOA in this study can be used to integrate all of them.

This study uses an analysis of patent registrations to evaluate the level of innovative initiatives of Santa Catarina higher education institutions. It also seeks to understand the importance of the structure of graduate programs to success in the advancement of technological production and industrial property registrations. The number of registrations in the National Institute of Industrial Property (Instituto Nacional de Propriedade Industrial - INPI) and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) databases was established. Given that the patent filing process represents an innovative initiative, the results show that the level of innovation is growing in these institutions. Bladder cancer stands as a prevailing neoplasm among men globally, distinguished for its pronounced malignancy attributed to invasiveness and metastatic proclivity. Tannic acid (TA), an organic compound in many plants, has garnered recent attention for its discernible anti-mutagenic attributes. This investigation endeavored to scrutinize the repercussions of TA on grade II bladder cancer, with a concerted focus on unraveling its anti-cancer mechanisms. The cytotoxic effects of TA on grade II bladder cancer cells were investigated using multiple techniques, including MTT assay, flow cytometry, TUNEL assay, and western blot. Our findings revealed that elevated concentrations of TA induced cytotoxic effects in grade II bladder cancer cells. Both flow cytometry and the TUNEL assay substantiated the dose-dependent capacity of TA to prompt apoptosis. Western blot analysis corroborated that TA treatment in bladder cancer cells resulted in the upregulation of cleaved caspase-3 expression and PARP. Furthermore, heightened TA dosage elicited an augmentation in the expression of pro-apoptotic proteins, namely Bax and Bak, alongside a reduction in the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 within bladder cancer cells. This study confirms TA as a potential anticancer agent, demonstrably diminishing the viability of bladder cancer cells. TA exerts cytotoxicity through the activation of mitochondrial apoptotic pathways. Specifically, TA initiates the cleavage of PARP and caspase-3, concurrently augmenting the expression of pro-apoptotic proteins to facilitate apoptosis. Collectively, the present study indicates that TA effectively impedes the proliferation of bladder cancer cells by instigating apoptosis through the intrinsic mitochondrial pathway.

Organizational models of production systems that focus on services and servitization are experiencing an increase in an application. These models emphasize the value proposition for the customer and a better understanding of the value creation process. Additionally, the emergence of new technologies such as those associated with Industry 4.0 also requires well-structured and results-oriented processes. In this perspective, although there are several tools for measuring both operations and organizational performance, the literature still lacks tools that integrate and align these two perspectives, accounting for activities at the operational level that reflect objectives at the strategic level, and vice-versa. Therefore, a procedure for aligning process performance (operations' performance) and strategic performance (organizational performance) in a service context is proposed. This procedure is based on three main components identified through a literature review: (1) guidelines associated with enterprise engineering that focus on processes, developed by Deschamps (2013);(2) a set of critical success factors for implementation of performance measurement systems that focus on organizational performance, developed by Keathley (2016);and (3) ten determinants of service quality, proposed by Parasuraman (1985). The alignment procedure is presented as being mediated by Parasuraman's model, relating enterprise engineering guidelines and critical success factors. © 2018 Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).
