In recent years, research in human counting from CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) images have found an increasing demand to be deployed in real-world applications. The applications have been implemented in various settings, both indoor and outdoor. In the case of indoor setting, we found a type of room setting that conveys a problem to human counting model if we need to count only humans inside a room. With this respect, we present RHC (Room Human Counting) dataset, which images are captured in the aforementioned setting. Learning a musical instrument is challenging in many different aspects. One important aspect is the motivation of the music students. One common practice to keep music students engaged is to use songs that the students like. However, identifying an appropriate music score for the music students that is compatible with the specific skill level and music taste of each student can be a challenging task. Defining the difficulty of each score manually is a complex task, as it requires theoretical knowledge and mastery of a particular musical instrument and music theory. In this context, the automatic music score difficulty classification task can help music teachers and students by automatically classifying music scores according to their difficulty. The main contribution of this work is to evaluate the use of two approaches based on the musicXML files and different classification algorithms for this task concerning three different music instruments, namely the violin, the piano and the acoustic guitar. Our experiments show interesting results for all the musical instruments.

Our surroundings’ auditory landscapes are a wealth of knowledge, providing insights into a range of outdoor pursuits. The automatic classification of these actions using audio event detection and classification (AEDC) systems has a great deal of potential applications in environmental monitoring, security, surveillance, and driverless cars. Even though AEDC has advanced significantly in indoor settings, difficulties still exist outside because of the variable and changing acoustic conditions brought on by elements like the weather, different sound sources, and ambient noise from traffic and industry. This study suggests an outdoor audio event categorization model based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs). The suggested model shows passable accuracy by utilizing adaptation to the downstream task using the ESC-50 dataset and transfer learning from a pre-trained model. The effectiveness of multi-class audio classification models in downstream tasks is analyzed in this paper, with an emphasis on the effect of an increasing number of output classes on accuracy. Three models—three, four, and five classes—with different output class configurations are used in the study, and their training and validation accuracies are assessed. Although the accuracy scores above 80% are commendable, the data show a discernible reduction in performance as the number of classes rises. Notably, the three-class model attains a validation accuracy exceeding 90%, whereas the four-class and five-class models exhibit reduced accuracies, falling below 90% and 85%, respectively.

Tropical disease is one of the infectious diseases that affect Indonesia. Many people die because of tropical diseases, such as dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), chikungunya, leprosy, lymphatic, and filariasis. The Indonesian government's lack of public policy is the main problem in treating and preventing tropical diseases. The paper aims to describe the analysis results of the incidence of DHF in Jakarta, Indonesia. The analysis used the DHF incidences data from the Jakarta Health service surveillance office representative and combined it with the meteorological parameters data. The meteorological parameters were collected from the Bureau of Meteorological Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG). The statistical analysis of this research used Pearson's correlation. The results show that the meteorological parameters affecting DHF incidences are temperature, humidity, and wind speed.

In this digital era, we are exposed to a large amount of data. This includes biological data, which stores information about living organisms, including Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), genes, and proteins. With the development of information technology and information system, most of available biological data are stored in an online public database. Many of the databases are free-access and easily used, which helps the users, especially researchers, to make use of the data. Among the known public biological databases are the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) Genome Browser Database and the Rat Genome Database (RGD). These two databases provide access to the biological data from different organisms. This paper aims to describe the technology of public biological databases. Also elucidated in this paper are the differences features between UCSC Genome Browser Database and the RGD. Our results showed that the UCSC contains much more biological data and features than the RGD. However, the genome browser of UCSC has a complex display, while the RGD has a simple display. Overall, both databases give the users the option to choose the most suitable database for them.

The rough set method is one of the well-known methods for classifying an object. The rough set method has been used since Pawlak discovered it in 1982. The rough set method can analyze data related to redundant attribute reduction, find the most significant attributes and make decision rules. This article presents a taxonomy of rough set approaches for generating rules. The rough set method in generating rules has been successfully applied in various fields, such as classification, decision analysis of medical data, manufacturing processes, machine operations, predictive data, evaluation of television sets, iris fisher data, trading stock indexes, information systems, learning database systems, scientific diagnostics, force protection, KANSEI Engineering, prediction, customization provider strategy, force stabilizer system, scientific data and vehicle traffic. Several researchers since 2000 have combined the rough set method with other methods or algorithms to get fewer rules and not reduce classification accuracy. The results of combining these methods have been shown to improve the performance of the rough set method.
