A sugarcane yield of one plantation area depends on several independent variables. Practically it is challenging to predict accurately by using conventional methods. This study aims to develop a decision model based on a combination of fuzzy logic and object-oriented methods to predict sugarcane yield. The research is conducted in four main stages, employing object-oriented methods for model design and fuzzy logic for model construction. Object and activity diagrams are used for the object-oriented model design. The fuzzy membership functions employed are a combination of trapezoidal and triangular shapes. The resulting decision model can simulate 2,225 data from plantation areas in Indonesia. Based on the 10 examples of plantation area data in Indonesia, plantation number one obtained the largest sugarcane yield, which was 4.79%, with a similarity value of 0.90 (when compared to manual calculations as its ground truth). This similarity value is a higher value when compared to the average similarity value, which is 0.89.

Credit card use is becoming more and more commonplace every day. Financial organizations and credit card customers lose a lot of money because of complicated illegal transactions. Fraudsters constantly stay on top of new technology to quickly perpetrate fraud against customer transaction patterns. We analyze credit card transaction networks and identify suspicious patterns, such as transactions connected to multiple accounts or unusual transaction patterns, transactions made at unusual times, and to monitor credit card transactions in real-time and quickly identify suspicious transactions. TigerGraph is used to analyze data, display results on a dashboard, and send notifications via email. One meth'\ Vc 1``13-od commonly used in anomaly detection is to compare data values against the standard deviation. In this research, we explain the use of TigerGraph as a platform for anomaly detection above the standard deviation, as well as the use of the Louvain algorithm in finding merchant communities used by fraudsters. The data used in this study comes from Sparkov simulation data obtained from Kaggle. Our results show that by using TigerGraph, we managed to achieve a very high accuracy rate of 99.77%, precision 82.84%, recall 72.38%, and f1-score 77,26% in predicting transaction fraud on Sparkov simulation data. This is much better than the results reported in a paper that uses the supervised machine learning method with the AdaBoost algorithm which achieves the highest accuracy of 77%. © 2023 The Authors. Gastrointestinal diseases are significant health concerns that mostly affect the digestive and biliary tracts. These can only be observed internally through endoscopy, or a modern approach named Wireless Capsule Endoscopy. Though the approach has proven to work, the process relies heavily on medical experts, which is prone to error when given a considerably large load. The use of deep learning in detecting diseases with images has been proven to work in various cases and can be implemented for gastrointestinal diseases. This study compared four deep learning models based on Convolutional Neural Network architectures consisting of the VGG16, ResNet152V2, InceptionV3, and Xception for classifying colon disease images. The experiment showed that the ResNet152V2 performed the best, compared to the other three with a testing accuracy score of 0.9837. On the other hand, the VGG16 had the lowest performance with around accuracy score of 0.89 while the Xception and InceptionV3models yielded similar accuracy scores of 0.9587 and 0.9549, respectively. The results highlight the effectiveness of ResNet152V2 in handling the complexity of colon disease detection

Despite their drawbacks, multiple-choice questions (MCQ) have been widely used to assess the students' understanding of lectures through examinations. The development of automatic MCQ generation is beneficial, especially for educators. As a starting point for further development, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is conducted to uncover current trends, future challenges, and opportunities in automatic MCQ generation. Previously, an SLR was conducted, but it lacks coverage of the utilization of transformer-based models. This SLR covers the development of automatic MCQ generation using either traditional or advanced approaches such as Transformers. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses framework was used to gather the data from Scopus, IEEE Xplore, SpringerLink, arXiv, and Semantic Scholar. The included articles must be open-access computer science conference papers or journal articles and written in English less than five years ago. Four independent reviewers analyzed the research workflow, evaluation metric, and dataset used in each study. There are 18 included studies, where 17% (n = 3) studies are from 2024, 33% (n = 6) studies are from 2023, 22% (n = 4) studies are from 2022, 11% (n = 2) studies are from 2021, and 17% (n = 3) studies are from 2020. There are 33% (n = 6) of the studies used the traditional feature-based engineering approach, 39% (n = 7) of the studies used the Transformer-based model fine-tuning approach, and the remaining used novel approaches. The study found that BERT variants are the most utilized Transformer-based model in automatic MCQ. The research notes some challenges, but also open various opportunities for further research, including Large Language Model (LLM) utilization for automatic MCQ generation, the utilization BERT-based models for standardized machine-learned evaluation metrics, and the initiative for the creation of an MCQ dataset benchmark.

The rise of smart contracts has expanded blockchain’s capabilities, enabling the development of innovative decentralized applications (dApps). However, this advancement brings its own challenges, including the management of distributed architectures and immutable data. Addressing these complexities requires a specialized approach to software engineering, with blockchain-oriented practices emerging to support development in this domain. Developer Experience (DEx) is central to this effort, focusing on the usability, productivity, and overall satisfaction of tools and frameworks from the engineers’ perspective. Despite its importance, research on Blockchain Developer Experience (BcDEx) remains limited, with no systematic mapping of academic and industry efforts. To bridge this gap, we conducted a Multivocal Literature Review analyzing 62 to understand the distribution of BcDEx sources, practical implementations, and their impact. Our findings revealed that academic focus on BcDEx is limited compared to the coverage in gray literature, which primarily includes blogs (41.8%) and corporate sources (21.8%). Particularly, development efficiency, multi-network support, and usability are the most addressed aspects in tools and frameworks. In addition, we found that BcDEx is being shaped through five key perspectives: complexity abstraction, adoption facilitation, productivity enhancement, developer education, and BcDEx evaluation. © 2025, CC BY.

Despite Indonesia's leading position in palm oil processing, the inaccurate assessment of oil palm fruit maturity poses challenges in determining the optimal harvest timing and maintaining product quality. With advancements in information technology, including image processing and object detection techniques like YOLO and EfficientDet, there is potential for automated and precise identification of palm fruit maturity. To explore this, the authors conducted research to identify the most suitable algorithm for detecting the ripeness of palm oil fruit. The study utilized a dataset consisting of 8299 images with six maturity levels, employing augmentation techniques to increase image variability. Results show that YOLO V8s outperformed EfficientDet Lite 4 in terms of object detection precision, achieving higher mean average precision (mAP) scores. YOLO V8s showed a 4% improvement in mAP@50 and a 16% improvement in mAP@50-95 compared to EfficientDet Lite 4. YOLO V8s achieved a mAP of 0.978 for mAP@50 and 0.765 for mAP@50-95, surpassing EfficientDet Lite 4. However, EfficientDet Lite 4 had an advantage in terms of class accuracy and bounding box placement, as indicated by smaller box loss and cIs- loss values. YOLO V8s also demonstrated better frames per second (FPS) performance, ranging from 10 to 15 FPS, compared to EfficientDet Lite 4. © 2023 IEEE.

Nudge is considered as an intervention to change user behavior and influence decision-making. Mobile apps have become a part of our everyday life. In this pandemic era, governments use mobile apps' technology to control the spread of COVID-19 infection. Many governments implemented COVID-19 tracing apps, and citizens are forced to use the apps to record their contact tracing and alert them if they have contact with an infected person. The key to control the increasing spread of the virus also depends on citizens adhere to health protocol. Government has experience difficulty in enforcing the protocol without strict surveillance. Therefore, building awareness of risk is essential-this study attempt to design nudge intervention into COVID-19 tracing apps. From the evaluation of the original apps, four nudge interventions can be applied in the application. © 2021 IEEE.

Due to the limitations of public datasets, research on automatic essay scoring in Indonesian has been restrained and resulted in suboptimal accuracy. In general, the main goal of the essay scoring system is to improve execution time, which is usually done manually with human judgment. This study uses a discussion forum in online learning to generate an assessment between the responses and the lecturer's rubric in the automated essay scoring. A SentenceTransformers pre-trained model that can construct the highest vector embedding was proposed to identify the semantic meaning between the responses and the lecturer's rubric. The effectiveness of monolingual and multilingual models was compared. This research aims to determine the model's effectiveness and the appropriate model for the Automated Essay Scoring (AES) used in paired sentence Natural Language Processing tasks. The distiluse-base-multilingual-cased-v1 model, which employed the Pearson correlation method, obtained the highest performance. Specifically, it obtained a correlation value of 0.63 and a mean absolute error (MAE) score of 0.70. It indicates that the overall prediction result is enhanced when compared to the earlier regression task research. Some researchers find data with imbalanced class conditions, where there are data with a number of minorities and a majority. SMOTE is a data approach for an imbalanced classes and XGBoost is one algorithm for an imbalanced data problems. This research uses SMOTE and XGBoost or abbreviated as SMOTEXGBoost for handling data with an imbalanced classes. The results showed almost the same accuracy value between SMOTE and SMOTEXGBoost at 99%. While the value of AUC SMOTEXBoost has a more stable value than SMOTE that is equal to 99.89% for training and 98.51% for testing. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The use of metal oxide sensors for air quality measurement is advantageous due to the low cost of the sensors, response time, and ease of operation. The MICS-6814 sensor consists of a package of three sensors that can measure various gases. Due to the metal oxide composition of the sensor, its response is affected by various external factors such as ambient temperature and relative humidity. In this work, we investigate the use and calibration of the MICS-6814 sensor in an IoT solution for the detection of ammonia (NH 3 ) in closed environments. The calibration is based on correcting for the effects of ambient temperature and relative humidity using the multiple linear regression method. The calibration process was performed in laboratory, with tests of temperature and relative humidity variation and with ammonia (NH 3 ) in a closed glass chamber. The developed system was able to detect the presence of ammonia in a closed room used to simulate the escape of this gas in an industrial environment.
