Magnetic coupled wireless power transfer systems have been incorporated in various devices including smartphones, and are becoming important to charge multiple devices at the same time. In this paper, we propose a new circular transmitter that can efficiently charge multiple receivers. The transmitter coil consists of a parabolic spiral that is sparse on the inside and tight on the outside from the beginning. The analysis result shows that when the five receivers are charged, they can be charged almost evenly and the total efficiency is 79.2%.

This paper proposes a new method for obtaining self and mutual inductances in wireless power transfer (WPT) systems using a deep neural network (DNN). In this paper, five structural parameters of a WPT system were experimentally used as inputs. The experimental results demonstrate that inductances obtained by the proposed method are within 10% in the maximum errors and about 1% in the mean absolute errors. The proposed method is about 682k times faster than the field solver in the CPU time required to obtain the inductances of one structure.

In recent years, several studies have reported the potential of employing digital games in EFL (English as Foreign Language) courses to promote students' learning motivation. However, scholars have pointed out that students generally lack self-learning ability, which is the key to the success of learning a foreign language. Therefore, it is crucial to foster students' self-learning ability during the game-based learning process. In this study, an expert system was developed to facilitate self-regulated learning in digital game-based learning contexts. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, a quasi-experimental design was employed in a university English course. The experimental group students learned with the self-regulated English vocabulary game (SR-EVG) approach, while the control group students learned with the conventional English vocabulary game (C-EVG) approach. The experimental results indicated that the use of the SR-EVG approach could improve learners' English vocabulary achievement and self-regulation compared with the C-EVG approach without increasing students' English learning anxiety. Moreover, through qualitative interviews, it was found that students who used the SR-EVG approach would focus on their learning due to goal-setting in the game and would pay more attention to the learning strategies they used. In this paper, the authors investigate the current state of the lighting design and control sector in Thailand’s creative industry. The government aims to promote the creative industry as a key source of income, but there needs more skilled professionals in the industry. The authors have found that successful cases have used the Internet for remote controlling in the creative industry in other countries. Therefore, the paper will explore the potential of using technology to improve professional efficiency and assess the feasibility of implementing remote lighting control systems via the Internet with Thai lighting designers and lighting console operators. Data will be collected through qualitative in-depth interviews and quantitative surveys. The results have shown a promising acceptance rate of wireless devices for lighting control due to their mobility, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and positive attitudes toward adopting Internet technology. The authors have also proposed a concept design for an internet-based control system tailored to Thai users, focusing on simplicity, ease of connection, and user-friendliness to accommodate those with limited network configuration knowledge. The proposed system aims to reduce professionals, save time, and increase convenience, leveraging Thailand’s extensive wireless internet coverage. These systems could significantly benefit Thailand’s creative industry by addressing the shortage of skilled professionals and improving efficiency.

YouTube is a widely-used platform in Indonesia, with 93.8% of its users. As such, it presents a valuable opportunity for marketing tourist destinations, particularly in Riau province, which aims to become Indonesia's top Halal travel destination. Tourism is a vital contributor to the economic growth of regions, and each province in Indonesia competes to promote its tourist attractions to attract more visitors every year. However, the large volume of data can challenge the manual analysis of feedback from YouTube's features, such as likes, dislikes, and comments. A literature review suggests that the Naive Bayes algorithm, which uses machine learning, is helpful for sentiment analysis. Therefore, this study aims to analyze public sentiment toward tourist destinations in Riau province by analyzing YouTube comments using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The study used 1680 opinions collected from 10 YouTube videos showcasing tourist destinations in Riau. The Naive Bayes algorithm classified 60% of the comments as positive, 32% as neutral, and 8% as negative. The experimental results indicated an accuracy and precision of 73%, a recall of 94%, and an F-1 Score of 82%. The study used the word frequency technique to reveal that Riau could become a popular halal tourist destination based on several frequently occurring words in the comments. © 2023 IEEE.

Situating learners in a context relevant to scientific phenomena enables them to acquire knowledge through experience, reflection, conceptualization, and practice, which is an important learning mode in science education. However, learners generally do not have opportunities to experience many scientific phenomena in the real world. Therefore, virtual learning environments (VLE) are becoming a frequently adopted technology to provide authentic learning contexts. In particular, spherical video-based learning environments (SVLE), which are a low-tech form of VLE, have attracted the attention of school teachers and educational technology researchers. Additionally, effective assessment methods, such as the two-tier-test, have been adopted to examine learners' performance during the virtual learning process. On the other hand, researchers have pointed out that lack of effective learning strategies may decrease the learning effects in a virtual learning context. Hence, this study integrated a graphic organizer into a two-tier test-based learning mode, in which the first-tier questions were declarative items with a short answer (e.g., the questions of where, what, and when), whereas the second-tier questions were more in-depth, deeper causal-type questions (e.g., the questions of why and how), in the contexts of SVLE. To verify the effectiveness of this learning approach, a graphic organizer-based two-tier test SVLE was developed;moreover, a quasi-experimental design was conducted in the "Mysteries of the Earth" unit of the sixth graders' natural science course. A total of 41 sixth graders from two classes, with an average age of 12, were recruited in this experiment. One class was assigned to be the experimental group adopting the graphic organizer-based two-tier test SVLE (GT-SVLE), while the other was the control group adopting the conventional two-tier test-based SVLE (CT-SVLE). Smart Home technology offers technological concepts that can be controlled through smart devices to make it easier for the community. Therefore, smart home technology is starting to seize the home electronics market in Indonesia, especially in the city of Jakarta. This study aims to determine the integration of conventional technology into smart home technology for people in Jakarta. The research model in this study uses UTAUT2 which analyzes nine variables, namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Cost, Perceived Ease of Use, Social Influence, Perceived Compatibility, Trust, Perceived Pleasure, and Effort Expectations, Intention to Use Smart Home technology. After the responses were received, data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM approach with the SmartPLS application. The results of this study show that there are many people who live in Jakarta who are helped by the presence of smart home technology. However, there are some people who don't really know how to use a smart home because of a lack of knowledge about this technology.

Clustering is a typical unsupervised learning method for classifying unsupervised data. One of the clustering meth-ods, even-sized clustering based on optimization (ECBO), is a clustering algorithm that imposes a constraint to equalize the size of each cluster. ECBO has been suggested to be effective in delivery and other problems. However, it is limited to Euclidean space. On the other hand, spectral clustering with a wide range of applicability for partitioning graph data has been proposed. In this paper, we propose even-sized spectral clustering, which imposes a size-equal constraint on spectral clustering, and show that it is an extension of the graph partitioning problem. We also verify the validity of the results through numerical examples.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of secretarial, financial and staffing information systems at the Directorate General of AHU, known as the E-PASTI system. There are two variables analysed, namely system quality and information quality. Data collection using questionnaires that distributed to 123 employees who used the E-PASTI system but returned 93 questionnaires. Data quality analyst uses descriptive quantitative method. The results of the study are several conditions related to the system and information quality of E-PASTI. The quality can be a reference for the AHU Directorate General to improve the quality of E-PASTI that suits the needs of employees. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Dynamic programming is a fundamental algorithm that can be found in our daily lives easily. One of the dynamic programming algorithm implementations consists of solving the 0/1 knapsack problem. A 0/1 knapsack problem can be seen from industrial production cost. It is prevalent that a production cost has to be as efficient as possible, but the expectation is to get the proceeds of the products higher. Thus, the dynamic programming algorithm can be implemented to solve the diverse knapsack problem, one of which is the 0/1 knapsack problem, which would be the main focus of this paper. The implementation was implemented using C language. This paper was created as an early implementation algorithm using a Dynamic program algorithm applied to an Automatic Identification System (AIS) dataset. © 2023 IEEE.
