Sports science can have a significant and positive impact on coaches and athletes, as well as for the professional sports organization. According to this situation, more and more organizations are competing to implement sports science as the monitoring systems. Along with the development of technology, it becomes easier for humans to carry out their activities, including communication with each other. Advances in the field of communication technologies have led to the use of social networks to support all activity. With social media, all kinds of information that people want to search for can be found easily. Social networks have their uniqueness in their characteristics. Like LINE has free calling and video calling features, while Instagram has features like Instagram Story, where users can document their activities in the form of photos or recordings. By all the characteristics of social networks, it will support the activity of sports science. The methodology of this research focused on quantitative research based on the T-test approach. The result shows that social media involvement can significantly support collaboration in sports science, so it can increase people's motivation to interact with other participants in sport organizations.

Phonon-polaritons are electromagnetic waves resulting from the coherent coupling of photons with optical phonons in polar dielectrics. Due to their exceptional ability to confine electric fields to deep subwavelength scales with low loss, they are uniquely poised to enable a suite of applications beyond the reach of conventional photonics, such as sub-diffraction imaging and near-field energy transfer. The conventional approach to exciting phonon-polaritons through optical methods, however, necessitates costly mid-infrared and terahertz coherent light sources along with near-field scanning probes, and generally leads to low excitation efficiency due to the substantial momentum mismatch between phonon-polaritons and free-space photons. Here, we demonstrate that under proper conditions, phonon-polaritons can be excited all-electrically by flowing charge carriers. Specifically, in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN)/graphene heterostructures, by electrically driving charge carriers in ultra-high-mobility graphene out of equilibrium, we observe bright electroluminescence of hBN’s hyperbolic phonon-polaritons (HPhPs) at mid-IR frequencies. The HPhP electroluminescence shows a temperature and carrier density dependence distinct from black-body or super-Planckian thermal emission. Moreover, the carrier density dependence of HPhP electroluminescence spectra reveals that HPhP electroluminescence can arise from both inter-band transition and intra-band Cherenkov radiation of charge carriers in graphene. The HPhP electroluminescence offers fundamentally new avenues for realizing electrically-pumped, tunable mid-IR and THz phonon-polariton lasers, and efficient cooling of electronic devices. © 2023, CC BY.

Researchers and experts have developed various techniques, models, and methods to predict the price movements of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin. However, among the many techniques studied in the literature, there is still a lack of focus on mining, creating, and developing datasets with specific patterns for predicting the next cryptocurrency price movement. This is an exciting reason to conduct further research. A web-based Patterned Dataset Application and a Telegram bot were constructed to address this issue. These tools read the price position of each cryptocurrency and predict the next price direction based on the last position indicated by the Patterned Dataset Application. The experiment’s results show that when the Patterned Dataset Application shows a diamond crash position, it is time to make a purchase; conversely, when it shows a diamond moon position, it is time to make a sale. It is hoped that by utilizing the Patterned Dataset Application, potential losses can be minimized, and there is more potential for profit in cryptocurrency trading. Even though the initial data source comes from Indonesia’s most prominent digital cryptocurrency trading market, according to coinmarketcap, namely Indodax, the results of this patterned dataset application can often describe the same cryptocurrency conditions globally. The novelty of this research is to produce a new way of predicting the next cryptocurrency price movement using patterned datasets. At the end of this paper, it will be proven that hypothesis 1 and hypothesis 2 on the results of the patterned dataset are true.

Find the Best Rule of Time Series Data Mining with Cluster Analysis

Data mining is an analytical process of knowledge discovery in large and complex data sets. Many studies wish to explore data, to find information so that knowledge can be obtained through the grouping process, classification, rules discovery, associations and data mining visualization which shows similarity. Periodic data often occurs in business applications and sciences that has big size, high dimension and continuously updated. The similarity in periodic data is based on several approaches. One of common approaches is to transform periodic series into other domains so that dimensions are reduced, followed by index mechanism. Many studies of time series do not give optimal result because limited to extracting data not able to represent time series and its pattern which is then change into rules. Rules can be found in time series data, but they are still constrained by over fitting and difficult to present. It causes time series data and non linier function of data mining decision can't be optimal. The basic idea in the method proposed is to do periodic discretization for sub-sequential formation. These sub-sequences are grouped through a measure of similarity. The simple rule-finding technique is applied to obtain hidden rules in the temporal pattern. The optimal time series data expected to generate the uncertainty trend, previously unknown and can be used to make decisions or forecasting in the future.

Special need is a person who need assistance for their disabilities which include medical, physical, mental or psychological such as person with autism, down syndrome, dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, blindness, deafness, epilepsy, chronic asthma and so on. In this proposed research idea about intelligent E-commerce for special needs, we limited to four types of difficulties such as hearing difficulty, vision difficulty, language difficulty, and learning difficulty. In this paper, we interest in those special needs persons who can use e-commerce and how to model a system that can help them to joy and easy to join with e-commerce. For some, this intelligent e-commerce is not only for shopping only but will become part of their healing for special needs in order to engage with daily human activities and increase their daily confidence in life. This paper also a preliminary investigation that can be used for Ph.D. or Doctoral research degree who is interested in building e-commerce framework for people with a special need or disability. © 2019 IEEE.

Background: To evaluate the effect of the weighting of input imaging combo and ADC threshold on the performance of the U-Net and to find an optimized input imaging combo and ADC threshold in segmenting acute ischemic stroke (AIS) lesion. Methods: This study retrospectively enrolled a total of 212 patients having AIS. Four combos, including ADC-ADC-ADC (AAA), DWI-ADC-ADC (DAA), DWI-DWI-ADC (DDA), and DWI-DWI-DWI (DDD), were used as input images, respectively. Three ADC thresholds including 0.6, 0.8 and 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s were applied. Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) was used to evaluate the segmentation performance of U-Nets. Nonparametric Kruskal–Wallis test with Tukey–Kramer post-hoc tests were used for comparison. A p <.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The DSC significantly varied among different combos of images and different ADC thresholds. Hybrid U-Nets outperformed uniform U-Nets at ADC thresholds of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s and 0.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p <.001). The U-Net with imaging combo of DDD had segmentation performance similar to hybrid U-Nets at an ADC threshold of 1.8 × 10^–3 mm²/s (p =.062 to 1). The U-Net using the imaging combo of DAA at the ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s achieved the highest DSC in the segmentation of AIS lesion. Conclusions: The segmentation performance of U-Net for AIS varies among the input imaging combos and ADC thresholds. The U-Net is optimized by choosing the imaging combo of DAA at an ADC threshold of 0.6 × 10^–3 mm²/s in segmentating AIS lesion with highest DSC. The interplay between dimensionality and topology manifests in magnetism via both exotic texture morphology and novel dynamics. A free magnetic skyrmion exhibits the skyrmion Hall effect under electric currents. Once it is confined in one-dimensional (1D) channels, the skyrmion Hall effect would be suppressed, and the current-driven skyrmion speed should be boosted by the non-adiabatic spin transfer torque β. Here, we experimentally demonstrate that stripes of a spatially modulated spin helix serve as natural 1D channels to restrict skyrmion. Using FeGe as a benchmark, an interstitial skyrmion is created by geometry notch and further moves steadily without the skyrmion Hall effect. The slope of the current-velocity curve for 1D skyrmion is enhanced almost by an order of magnitude owing to a large β in FeGe. This feature is also observed in other topological defects. Utilizing the 1D skyrmion dynamics would be a highly promising route to implement topological spintronic devices. © 2022, CC BY.

In a question & answer (Q& A) system, credible users provide answers of higher correctness. However, in a distributed social network based Q& A (SNQ& A) system, an asker does not know a k-hop answerer's credibility, thus making it difficult for the asker to assess the answer correctness. Therefore, a credibility-enabled distributed SNQ& A system is crucial for determining the correctness of the answers. To this end, we propose CRED, a credibility-enabled distributed SNQ& A system, which facilitates each user to assess the correctness of the provided answers. CRED utilizes subjective logic to build interestwise friend-to-friend credibility opinions under uncertainties. The developed opinions are then accumulated by CRED to get each user's aggregated credibility opinion, which may reflect the user's real credibility. CRED forwards a question to users with highest credibility beliefs in the question interest category. Our evaluation results show that, on average, CRED accomplishes higher success ratio, higher answer correctness, and lower answer uncertainty by 12.1%, 16.4%, and 22.2%, respectively, as compared to the best-performing baseline systems.

Recent research has shown that people are frequently searching for information with local intent. The existing systems fail to answer this class of questions as they are not mainly designed to handle it. In this paper, we propose LOCI, a mobile question & answer system with a multimodal motivation scheme for local intent questions where users provide timely and accurate answers in a dynamic social network. LOCI mines users' shared and contextual information to identify the most relevant users for each question. The proposed multimodal motivation scheme exploits users' social ties and monetary rewards to raise their basic motivation levels. LOCI assigns questions to the best answerers via our three proposed algorithms: (i) LOCI-RT, which immediately assigns newly arrived questions/users to available users/questions, (ii) LOCI-LO, which uses short-time batches for locally optimal questions-users assignment, and (iii) LOCI-AD, which assigns short- and long-deadline questions immediately and via batching, respectively. We conduct: (i) a survey to support our assumptions regarding the proposed multimodal motivation scheme, and (ii) trace-driven experiments to evaluate the performance of the three proposed LOCI's algorithms.

Scalable Metagrating for Efficient Ultrasonic Focusing

Acoustic metalenses have been pursued over the past decades due to their pivotal role in a wide variety of applications. Recent research efforts have demonstrated that, at ultrasonic regimes, acoustic levitation can be realized with standing waves, which are created by the interference between incoming and reflected focused waves. However, the conventional gradient-metasurface approach to focus ultrasonic waves is complex, leading to poor scalability. In this work, we propose a design principle for ultrasonic metalenses, based on metagratings—arrays of discrete scatters with coarser features than gradient metasurfaces. We achieve beam focusing by locally controlling the excitation of a single diffraction order with the use of metagratings, with geometry adiabatically varying over the lens aperture. We show that our metalens can effectively focus impinging ultrasonic waves to a focal point with a full width at half maximum of 0.364 of the wavelength. The focusing performance of the metalens is demonstrated experimentally, validating our proposed approach. This metagrating approach to focusing can be adopted for different operating frequencies by scaling the size of the structure, which has coarse features suitable for high-frequency designs, with potential applications ranging from biomedical science to nondestructive testing.
