The haircut art community is a community that is interested in the art of hair or hair-related issues and information. This haircut art community has several members, but they need the application of technology to support their hobby as a community. In this mobile application, a system where users can make transactions connected to the haircut community has been proposed. Users can make online appointments with barbers' haircuts, make online payments, engage with forums, and get information about the barbershop community. In addition, this mobile app will allow people in the community to sell and buy anything related to haircuts. In addition, it is hoped that it can be used as an income opportunity for people who have expertise in the art of barbering. This application is implemented using visual studio and MySQL database for the database. This application is modeled using use case diagrams to describe its business processes and class diagrams to describe the database design. © 2022 IEEE.

information engineering strategies play a significant and transformative role in shaping the landscape of digital agriculture. It drives innovation and efficiency in modern farming practices, with a specific focus on enhancing the value of agricultural commodities, such as sugarcane. The application of mobile technology plays a crucial part in achieving increased sugarcane productivity. Mobile applications, equipped with advanced developer features, offer rapid and user-friendly access to vital information. Traditional methods of estimating sugarcane production relied on manual data recording on paper, followed by data transfer to computer systems, typically managed by sugar factory junior plant officers. This conventional approach presents several inherent weaknesses, including time and effort intensiveness during data recording and entry. Additionally, the potential for errors in calculation and data input is a concern. The storage capacity for paper-based documents is finite, and farmers are often unable to autonomously assess their production potential. The objective of this research is to confront these obstacles by creating a sugarcane production application for Android. This application functions as an information engineering approach focused on forecasting sugarcane yields for plantation owners and their assistants. The development procedure adhered to the systematic waterfall method, following the principles of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model. Data collection was carried out through observations, while interviews with junior plant officers provided valuable insights into sugarcane estimation techniques. Analysis involved the synthesis of observational and interview data to inform the design of the application's interface and algorithmic system. Since the emergence of Pokémon Go in 2016, the world has been introduced to Augmented Reality (AR) games. Many IT companies have begun developing augmented reality (AR) games due to the great commercial potential in this industry. Certain products may have managed to remain viable in the market, while others were forced to close due to one or two factors. Since the emergence of Pokémon Go, no other game has managed to surpass its unprecedented success. The company responsible for developing Pokémon Go has decided to shut down one of their games due to a lack of consumer interest. The technology of augmented reality (AR) is consistently associated with the concept of immersion. Immersion is a key aspect of the game that allows users to deeply engage and feel fully involved in the experience. This study will employ a quantitative methodology, utilising a questionnaire that will be distributed to and completed by those who have engaged in augmented reality (AR) games. The data will be analysed using Smart PLS to examine the impact of user experience on immersion, which in turn influences intention. After gathering over 200 participants by spreading google form questionnaires and doing data analysis, the findings indicate that only a few aspects of user experience, namely Brand Experience and User Need Experience, have an impact on reasons. Niantic, the developer of Pokémon Go, was unable to replicate their success with a similar augmented reality game called Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. The initial release occurred on June 21, 2019, and the shutdown took place on December 21, 2021. In the beginning, they shown a profound enthusiasm for the game but were unable to sustain it, much as Pokémon Go. According to Niantic CEO John Hanke, the primary reason for the game's shutdown was its immersion. This study presents a deep learning framework optimizing 3D clothing models for VR, using a CNN to significantly reduce the triangle count of models from DeepFashion3D and CAP-UDF datasets. Achieving a balance between efficiency and detail, it cuts triangle count from over 160,000 to below 4,000, maintaining high DPI. The approach automates optimization, promising scalability and efficiency in VR fashion, setting a foundation for future 3D content development, enhancing virtual garment realism and interactivity.

A combination of cloud-based deep learning (DL) algorithms with portable/wearable (P/W) devices has been developed as a smart heath care system to support automatic cardiac arrhythmias (CAs) classification using electrocardiography (ECG). However, long-term and continuous ECG monitoring is challenging because of limitations of batteries and transmission bandwidth of P/W devices while incorporated with consumer electronics (CE). A feasible approach to address this challenge is to decrease sampling rates. However, low sampling rates lead to low-resolution signals that hinder the CAs classification performance. In this study, we propose a DL-based ECG signal super-resolution framework (called SRECG) to enhance low-resolution ECG signals by jointly considering the accuracies when applied to the DL-based high-resolution multiclass classifier (HMC) of CAs. In our experiments, we downsampled the ECG signals from the CPSC2018 dataset and evaluated their HMC accuracies with and without the SRECG. Experimental results show that SRECG can well improve the HMC accuracies as compared to traditional interpolation methods. Moreover, approximately half of the CAs classification accuracies of HMC were maintained within the enhanced ECG signals by SRECG. The promising results confirm that SRECG can be suitably used to enhance low-resolution ECG signals from P/W devices with CE to improve their cloud-based HMC performances. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Microsatellite instability (MSI) is a pivotal genetic marker influencing the efficacy of immunotherapy in colorectal cancer. Traditional MSI examination often requires additional genetic or immunohistochemical tests, whereas histology images, widely available in colorectal cancer diagnosis, offer a valuable alternative for MSI prediction. Although Transformer-based models have demonstrated promising outcomes in predicting MSI from histology images, they are hampered by traditional local attention mechanisms that struggle to capture long-range interdependencies and establish a comprehensive global receptive field. In this study, we introduce DiNAT-MSI, a novel framework for histology-based MSI prediction that incorporates the Dilated Neighborhood Attention Transformer (DiNAT). This model enhances global context recognition and substantially expands receptive fields, all without additional computational burden. Our results demonstrate that DiNAT-MSI achieves a superior patientwise AUROC compared to ResNet18 and Swin Transformer, along with commendable explainability. Our work not only illustrates a more accessible diagnostic tool for leveraging histological data but also underscores the potential of Transformerbased models with sophisticated attention designs in advancing precision medicine for colorectal cancer patients. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this study is to develop a system that instructs the user to put the throat microphone on the suitable position. Therefore, we investigated the location of the throat microphone, where voice quality is less likely to be degraded than that produced by a condenser microphone. To investigate this, we checked whether there is a similar tendency between the subjective similarity of throat microphone voice and condenser microphone voice, and the objective similarity by formant frequency ratio obtained from the two voices. The results of the experiment showed that the higher the subjective similarity between the throat microphone voice and the condenser microphone voice, the closer the formant frequency ratio of the first and second formants were to 1. It was also confirmed that the ratio of the first formant approached 1 when the throat microphone was mounted on the upper side of the neck. © 2021 IEEE.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the use of web conferencing systems has become widespread but many people are not likely to send their own camera images. Muting the camera is usable to hide a participant but other participants can not aware the hided participant's non-verbal information. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the ease of conversation is affected when the participants are displayed as avatars instead of actual images in a web conferencing system. For the purpose, we investigated whether the fidelity of participant's image influence on the ease of conversation experimentally. We used four kinds of participant's image, they were default still image, avatar image, point image, and real image. Experimental result showed the possibility that the avatar facial image reduced the participant's embarrassment. Some participants felt that the system using avatar or point image improved the ease of conversation compared to the system using default non-moving image or real image. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper discusses the design and implementation process of mobile applications used by nurses to communicate with the elderly or with people appointed to represent the elderly in using this mobile application. This mobile application is expected to help caregivers or nurses monitor the health condition of the elderly, and this mobile application has several functions that make it complete. These functions include submitting weekly reports, communicating with others via forums, and providing relevant information about the elderly and how to deal with them, including news and government regulations on elderly care. This mobile application uses case diagrams to describe business processes and class diagrams to illustrate database design. As for the implementation, android studio and MySQL database are used for database storage. This paper is limited to 9 references for literature review previous similar research by searching for publication titles with the sentences 'mobile application'+elderly+care using quotation marks and without quotation marks for the words elderly and care for all years of publication. © 2022 IEEE.
