Data mining is an analytical process of knowledge discovery in large and complex data sets. Many studies wish to explore data, to find information so that knowledge can be obtained through the grouping process, classification, rules discovery, associations and data mining visualization which shows similarity. Periodic data often occurs in business applications and sciences that has big size, high dimension and continuously updated. The similarity in periodic data is based on several approaches. One of common approaches is to transform periodic series into other domains so that dimensions are reduced, followed by index mechanism. Many studies of time series do not give optimal result because limited to extracting data not able to represent time series and its pattern which is then change into rules. Rules can be found in time series data, but they are still constrained by over fitting and difficult to present. It causes time series data and non linier function of data mining decision can't be optimal. The basic idea in the method proposed is to do periodic discretization for sub-sequential formation. These sub-sequences are grouped through a measure of similarity. The simple rule-finding technique is applied to obtain hidden rules in the temporal pattern. The optimal time series data expected to generate the uncertainty trend, previously unknown and can be used to make decisions or forecasting in the future. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Electromagnetic nondestructive inspection for high-speed moving ferromagnetic materials is necessary for manufacturing efficiency. In this paper, we present a novel leakage magnetic flux (LMF) method to estimate the crack position in a moving cylindrical ferromagnetic rod. The method directly measures the first-order Fourier coefficients of the LMF moving with the crack by using only two coils with DC excitation. The location of a crack is estimated by the proposed method, as demonstrated for an S45C cylindrical rod.

Because imitation learning relies on human demonstrations in hard-to-simulate settings, the inclusion of force control in this method has resulted in a shortage of training data, even with a simple change in speed. Although the field of data augmentation has addressed the lack of data, conventional methods of data augmentation for robot manipulation are limited to simulation-based methods or downsampling for position control. This paper proposes a novel method of data augmentation that is applicable to force control and preserves the advantages of real-world datasets. We applied teaching-playback at variable speeds as real-world data augmentation to increase both the quantity and quality of environmental reactions at variable speeds. An experiment was conducted on bilateral control-based imitation learning using a method of imitation learning equipped with position-force control. We evaluated the effect of real-world data augmentation on two tasks, pick-and-place and wiping, at variable speeds, each from two human demonstrations at fixed speed. The results showed a maximum 55% increase in success rate from a simple change in speed of real-world reactions and improved accuracy along the duration/frequency command by gathering environmental reactions at variable speeds. In agricultural water research, the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as a pivotal approach for large-scale data collection. Water availability in the context of water quality is very important, both for domestic and industrial purposes. For domestic purposes, drinking water and bathing water are separated. Meanwhile, for the palm oil industry, boiler filler is differentiated from additional process water (dilution water). Water quality parameters can be assessed from turbidity and Total Dissolve Solid (TDS). Measurements using measuring instruments separately and repeatedly require significant energy, time, and costs. This research was conducted with the primary objective of presenting a novel method for categorizing water quality with the approach of IoT sensor technology. The research methodology entailed the utilization of an integrated IoT water sensors system in conjunction with manual water categorization. The methods consist of (1) system design, (2) design and installation of sensor and IoT-based microcontrollers, and (3) accuracy and precision testing compared with laboratory measurements. The precision of the integrated IoT water sensors was assessed through a dedicated sensor precision test, resulting in an accuracy rate of 94.4% for the turbidity sensor and 97.5% for the TDS sensor. Notably, this approach successfully discriminated drinking water with valid categorization, while other water types, including groundwater, water with tea, and water with coffee, yielded null categorization results. © 2023 IEEE.

This research explores the vital role of penetration testing in cybersecurity, specifically its alignment with ISO 27001:2022, COBIT 2019, and NIST CSF standards in the context of crypto asset exchange management. These sectors grapple with rapidly evolving threat landscapes, necessitating robust cybersecurity strategies. However, the integration of penetration testing with these standards remains underexamined. Through a comprehensive approach, including literature reviews, surveys, case studies, and interviews, this study investigates the incorporation of penetration testing into an organization's cybersecurity. It unveils the current state of penetration testing practices, interprets ISO 27001:2022, COBIT 2019, and NIST CSF perspectives, and pinpoints integration challenges and opportunities. This study offers practical insights and best practices for integrating penetration testing into cybersecurity frameworks by emphasizing alignment. It underscores the importance of aligning penetration testing with information security standards in the crypto asset exchange management sector, enhancing security, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, and effectively mitigating risks in the context of growing crypto asset importance. The objective of this paper is to identify the stresses placed on the musculoskeletal system when small dogs walk on floors with low friction coefficients. In many households, and small dogs in particular are often kept indoors. According to veterinary experience, it is known that small dogs kept indoors that walk with their lower limbs slipping cause a great deal of stress on the musculoskeletal system, and that the incidence of joint disease in the lower limbs of such small dogs is high. In this study, we measured the body movements of small dogs walking on slippery floors using a three-dimensional motion capture system and force plate system. Furthermore, by inputting these measurements into the musculoskeletal simulation model we have developed to simulate the musculoskeletal system of dogs, we derived the load on the musculoskeletal system of small dogs on slippery and non-slippery floors. As a result, it was identified that walking on a slippery floor causes a strong load on the lower limb muscles of small dogs. © 2025 IEEE.

This article proposes an intelligent platform for monitoring students' steps on their way to school until they leave the school to their homes. This platform can identify students and notify those responsible and competent authorities in various situations of school life, such as: entering and leaving the school bus, entering and leaving school, entering the school cafeteria, etc. The first application aims to control access to the school bus through facial recognition. In the tests carried out, the recognition system achieved excellent results in all metrics. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper examines the reproducibility of massive information analytics under particular factors. The paper proposes the 'performing Scalable Inference' technique to cope with scalability troubles and to exploit current big statistics platforms for efficient computing and statistics garage of the statistics. In particular, the paper describes how to perform leak-free, parallelizable visible analytics over massive datasets using present extensive records analytics frameworks such as Apache Flink. This method presents an automated manner to execute analytics that preserves reproducibility and the ability to make adjustments without re-running the entire technique. The paper also demonstrates how these analytics may help several real-world use instances, explore affected person cohorts for studies, and develop stratified patient cohorts for hospital therapy. In the end, the paper observes how the proposed method may be exercised within the real world. Actively scalable inference for massive information analytics is pivotal in optimizing decision-making and allocation of assets. Typically, such inferences are made based on information accumulated from numerous sources, databases, unstructured data, and different digital sources. So one can ensure scalability, a complete cloud-primarily based platform has to be hired. This solution will permit the ***, deploying the essential records series and evaluation algorithms are prime here. It could permit the platform to recognize the styles inside the statistics and discover any ability correlations or traits. Additionally, predictive analytics and system mastering strategies may be incorporated to provide insights into the results of the information. In the long run, by leveraging those techniques, the platform can draw efficient inferences and appropriately compare situations in an agile and green way.. © 2023 IEEE.

How Panel Layouts Define Manga: Insights from Visual Ablation Experiments

Today, manga has gained worldwide popularity. However, the question of how various elements of manga, such as characters, text, and panel layouts, reflect the uniqueness of a particular work, or even define it, remains an unexplored area. In this paper, we aim to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the visual characteristics of manga works, with a particular focus on panel layout features. As a research method, we used facing page images of manga as input to train a deep learning model for predicting manga titles, examining classification accuracy to quantitatively analyze these features. Specifically, we conducted ablation studies by limiting page image information to panel frames to analyze the characteristics of panel layouts. Through a series of quantitative experiments using all 104 works, 12 genres, and 10,122 facing page images from the Manga109 dataset, as well as qualitative analysis using Grad-CAM, our study demonstrates that the uniqueness of manga works is strongly reflected in their panel layouts. © 2024, CC BY.
