Strategic materials design is essential for the development of small-diameter,tissue-engineered vascular ***-assembled nanofibers of elastin-like polypeptides represent promising vascular graft components as they replicate the organized elastin structure of native blood ***,the bioactivity of nanofibers can be modified by the addition of functional peptide *** the present study,we describe the development of a novel nanofiber-forming elastin-like polypeptide(ELP)with an arginine-glutamic acid-aspartic acid-valine(REDV)*** biological characteristics of the REDV-modified ELP nanofibers relevant to applications in vascular grafting were compared to ELP without ligands for integrin,ELP with arginine-glycine-aspartic acid(RGD)sequence,collagen and cell culture *** them,REDV-modified ELP nanofibers met the preferred biological properties for vascular graft materials,i.e.(i)inhibition of platelet adhesion and activation,(ii)endothelial cell adhesion and proliferation and(iii)maintenance of smooth muscle cells in a contractile phenotype to prevent cell *** results indicate that REDV-modified ELP nanofibers represent promising candidates for the further development of small-diameter vascular grafts.

An accumulator is a cryptographic protocol that compresses a set of inputs into a short string of a certain size and can efficiently prove that the compressed set contains a particular input element. Accumulators have been actively studied in recent years and are used to streamline various protocols such as membership rosters, zero-knowledge proofs, group signatures, and blockchains. Libert et al. proposed a Merkle tree-based accumulator using lattice cryptography, one of the post-quantum cryptography. They proposed an accumulator with logarithmic time complexity for the verification algorithm. Ling et al. proposed an accumulator that satisfies logarithmic time updating lists. However, no algorithm has been proposed thus far that satisfies constant time updating lists and constant time verification based on the lattice-based accumulator. In this study, we propose an accumulator based on lattice that satisfies constant-time verification and constant-time updating lists for the first time. In our proposed accumulator, the bit length of the witness associated with each element is independent of the number of elements in the list. We developed techniques that use the Partial Fourier Recovery problem instead of the Merkle tree. We also prove that the proposed accumulator satisfies the security requirements of an accumulator scheme. Finally, to demonstrate that our proposed accumulator is more practical, we compared it with other lattice-based accumulators. The proposed accumulator scheme can be incorporated into membership list management, zero-knowledge proof, group signature, and blockchain to realize more efficient applications. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

A red-emitting phosphor Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) with partial Al^(3+)/P^(5+) substitution on Si^(4+) was synthesized via a simple solid-state method,and the effects of the introduction of the M^(3+/5+)(M=Al,P)ions on the crystal structure and photoluminescence performance of Ca_(2.91)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors were *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results revealed that the structure of Ca_(3)Si_(2)O_(7) remained the same after the introduction of Al^(3+) and P^(5+) *** characteristic emission of Eu^(3+)-doped Ca_(3)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7) phosphors exhibited two main peaks at 617 nm(red)and 593 nm(orange)under excitation at 394 nm,which originated from the^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2)and^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1) electron transitions of Eu^(3+) *** the partial substitution of Al^(3+) and P^(5+),the red emission intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors were significantly enhanced by 1.88-and 1.42-fold,respectively,which is attributed to the crystal-field effect around Eu^(3+).Meanwhile,the luminescence intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)P_(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) phosphors at 210℃ were 79.36%and 77.53%of those at 30°C,respectively,indicating their excellent thermal ***,the as-prepared Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+)and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)P_(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) red-emitting phosphors were combined with a near-ultraviolet chip of 395 nm to fabricate red-light-emitting diode(LED)and white(w)-LED devices with excellent chromaticity *** summary,Al^(3+)/P^(5+)-substituted Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) can serve as red-emitting phosphors for applications in w-LEDs.

Gamification refers to the application of game-design elements and principles in non-game contexts to enhance user engagement and motivation. By incorporating elements such as points, badges, levels, avatars, and leaderboards, gamification seeks to make learning experiences more interactive and rewarding. This study examines the integration of gamification features within the Viat-Map application, which utilizes the Toulmin argumentation model to improve students' comprehension of texts. The research involved 66 sophomore students from the State Polytechnic of Malang, divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group used the Viat-Map application enhanced with gamification elements, while the control group used a version without these features. The study employed post-tests, and surveys to assess the impact of gamification on student engagement and performance. Results indicate that students using the gamified version of the application reported more positive learning experiences and demonstrated better academic performance compared to those using the non-gamified version. These findings highlight the potential of gamification to enrich educational applications, making learning more engaging and effective. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a novel framework for real-time localization through pre-built map update by 3D LiDAR mounted on a robot is proposed. Autonomous mobile robots usually use high-precision 3D maps (i.e., HD maps) built in advance. However, as time passes, the environmental map changes from the actual environment, adversely affecting autonomous navigation. In addition, it is costly to recreate an HD map every time the environment changes. Therefore, it is necessary to update environmental maps simply and frequently. We propose a method for real-time map updating in the form of point clouds and validate the results of integrating map update with localization. © 2025 IEEE.

The hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks （HOFs） as a new type of porous framework materials have been widely studied in various ***,the lack of appropriate active sites,low intrinsic conductivity,and poor stability limited their performance in the field of ***,we designed two 2D metal hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (2D–M–HOF,M=Cu2+or Ni2+) with coordination compounds based on 2,3,6,7,14,15-hexahydroxyl cyclotricatechylene and transition metal ions (Cu2+and Ni2+),*** crystal structure of 2D–Cu–HOF is determined by continuous rotation electron diffraction,indicating an undulated 2D hydrogen-bond network with interlayeredπ-π*** flexible structure of 2D–M–HOF leads to the formation of self-adaption interlayered sites,resulting in superior activity and selectivity in the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2to C2products,achieving a total Faradaic efficiency exceeding 80%due to the high-efficiency C–C *** experimental results and density functional calculations verify that the undulated 2D–M–HOF enables the energetically favorable formation of*OCCHO *** work provides a promising strategy for designing HOF catalysts in electrocatalysis and related processes.

This paper introduces a new Gaussian filter for nonlinear systems plagued by correlated noises and unknown measurement *** tackles the issue of correlated noises by employing a Gaussian approximation recursive filter (GASF).To approximate the nonlinear aspects, it utilizes the Unscented Transformation (UT).Furthermore, it estimates measurement loss using the Maximum a Posteriori (MAP) *** simulations, this paper demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm under measurement loss and correlated noises. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid development of the electronic information industry, the reliability of electronic interconnection materials is crucial for the longevity of electronic components. Bi-based alloys have garnered significant attention as potential candidates for high-temperature solders. However, the inherent brittleness of Bi-based alloys has been a limiting factor in their application. In order to develop high-temperature Bi-based solders with superior performance, In element was chosen to modify the Bi-2Ag-0.5Cu alloy. Through the introduction of Ag2In and BiIn phases, much finer microstructure of Bi-based alloy can be achieved (grain size decreases from 80μm to 30 μm). Adding 2% Indium has led to notable improvements in ultimate tensile strength ( UTS) and fracture strain ( f ), by 76.9% and 55.1% compared to Bi-2Ag-0.5Cu, respectively. Additionally, the melting point of the Bi-2Ag-0.5Cu-2In alloy is 534.3 K, meeting the specified requirements for a high-temperature solder. © 2024 The Japan Institute of Metals and Materials.

All-solid-state lithium batteries(ASSLBs)are strongly considered as the next-generation energy storage devices for their high energy density and intrinsic *** solid-solid contact between lithium metal and solid electrolyte plays a vital role in the performance of working ASSLBs,which is challenging to investigate quantitatively by experimental *** work proposed a quantitative model based on the finite element method for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy simulation of different solid-solid contact states in *** the assistance of an equivalent circuit model and distribution of relaxation times,it is discovered that as the number of voids and the sharpness of cracks increase,the contact resistance Rcgrows and ultimately dominates the battery *** accurate fitting,inverse proportional relations between contact resistance Rcand(1-porosity)as well as crack angle was *** contribution affords a fresh insight into clarifying solid-solid contact states in ASSLBs.
