Mozita is an application used by midwives to record and report the toddler nutritional status in the local health center (Puskesmas). In addition to nutritional status information, Mozita can present information that is used by heads of puskesmas, district health offices and provincial health offices for monitoring and decision making in terms of health policy based on nutritional status. To be able to increase application usage, feedback from users is needed. With USE Questionnaire-based usability testing covering aspects of Usefulness, Satisfaction and Easy of Use. Usability testing is focused on the interaction part of the user interface (midwife), as the main source of data collection. This study used 15 midwife respondents who were randomly drawn from puskesmas in the city area of Semarang. The technique used to measure usability testing is to provide an explanation and guidelines for using the Mozita application before respondents fill in the questionnaire using a Likert scale from 1 to 7. The questionnaire used is equipped with in-depth interviews for question items whose Likert scale value is less than equal to 3 The indepth interview aims to provide a focus on improving the Mozita application interface to suit user needs. The results of usability testing that has been done on the Mozita application shows that the value of the Usefulness component is 84.52%, Easy of Use is 83.53%, Easy of Learning is 80.95%, and Satisfaction is 85.03%. Based on the value of each component measured shows that the Mozita application has a high usability value that is equal to 83.52%, and makes it easy for users to carry out work more efficiently. Some user feedback related to satisfaction aspects, especially in the Mozita application layout section is still simple needs to be done for a better layout design. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Benefiting from the high specific capacity and output voltage, Ni-rich layered oxides are one of the most promising commercial cathodes for next-generation high-energy-density Li-ion batteries (LIBs). However, typical Ni-rich cathode materials generally inherit polycrystal (PC) morphology from their precursors, which induces severe crack generations and side reactions, resulting in the rapid decay of structural and electrochemical stability upon cycling. In contrast, the Ni-rich cathodes with single-crystal (SC) morphology display remarkable structural stability and long cycle life by means of superior mechanical strength and limited side reactions, which is expected to solve the instinctive problems of PC counterparts. Herein, the synthesis strategies and the growth mechanisms of SC Ni-rich oxides are introduced and summarized in detail. Moreover, the significant differences in electrochemical behaviors between PC and SC cathodes are comprehensively compared in various voltage windows. Furthermore, the corresponding structural evolutions and morphology changes are also systematically investigated and analyzed. Additionally, the state-of-the-art characterization techniques for SC materials are elaborated. Altogether, in this review, we not only unravel the fundamental understandings of SC Ni-rich cathode materials but also provide an effective guide for realizing high-energy-density LIBs with long cycle life.

In wireless sensor networks, radio frequency identification (RFID) is one of the key technologies for data transmitted by the sensor node. In the RFID system, tags convert RF energy to DC through antennas and rectifying circuits, and supply power to other circuits. The sensor and signal conditioning circuit require high energy, so it is difficult to make the sensor node work normally by using the traditional energy harvest and power management circuits. Moreover, since the power management circuit is charged and discharged at the same time, when the converted RF energy is close to the energy consumed by circuit, the sensor and signal conditioning circuit may not work normally. In order to improve the performance of the power management circuit of the sensor node, a succinct power management circuit based on double capacitance is proposed in this paper. Compared with the classical commercial BQ25570 devices, the proposed power management circuit is easier to realize and integrate into the sensor node chip, thus reducing the power consumption of the sensor node. In the paper, the different charging time constants of two capacitor circuits are used to provide power for the subsequent circuits after enough energy is collected. This mode of operation enables the sensor nodes to work stably. The proposed circuit is succinct and easy to implement, and the energy transfer efficiency is about 87% after the capacitor is charged. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Operational formulation of weak values without probe systems

Weak values are the fundamental values for observables in a pre- and postselected system. Weak values are typically measured by weak measurement, in which weak values appear in the change of not the pre- and postselected system but the probe system. This indirect characteristic of weak measurement obscures the meaning of weak values for the pre- and postselected system, in contrast to conventional physical quantities, which have a clear operational meaning. In this study, we operationally formulate weak values as the sensitivity of postselection probability amplitude to small transformation in a pre- and postselected system. This formulation of weak values, which is free from the concept of probe shift assumed in weak measurement, gives a direct interpretation of strange weak values for the pre- and postselected system. Furthermore, this formulation can simplify weak-value measurement experiments because the associated measurements appearing in the modulus change of the postselection probability amplitude do not require external degrees of freedom.

AiBiC Kansai offers an education course, AiBiC Spiral, designed to develop abilities to solve individual social issues using Big Data, artificial intelligence, and Cloud technologies through teamwork. In this paper, we report on the problems of the environments for the education program and the discrepancies in the expectations on topics and contents found by the analysis of the questionnaire conducted in 2017, and describe the activities and results performed to improve the program in 2018. Through the improvements, we have found that the problem on the program environments has been dissolved. However, as for the discrepancies in the expectations, we have revealed that only some part of the problem was improved and there were still some students found the topics and contents provided by the program were different from their expectations. © 2020 Japan Society for Software science and Technology. Femtosecond laser-induced photoexcitation of ferromagnet (FM)/heavy metal (HM) heterostructures have attracted attention by emitting broadband terahertz frequencies. The phenomenon relies on the formation of ultrafast spin current, which is largely attributed to the direct photoexcitation of the FM layer. However, we reveal that during the process, the FM layer also experiences a secondary excitation led by the hot electrons from the HM layer that travel across the FM/HM interface and transfer additional energy in the FM. Thus, the generated secondary spins enhance the total spin current formation and lead to amplified spintronic terahertz emission. The results also emphasize the significance of the secondary spin current, which even exceeds the primary spin currents when FM/HM heterostructures with thicker HM are used. An analytical model is developed to provide deeper insights into the microscopic processes within the individual layers, underlining the generalized ultrafast superdiffusive spin-transport mechanism. Trip purpose is essential information supporting tasks in intelligent transportation systems, such as travel behaviour comprehension, location-based service, and urban planning. The observation of trip purpose is a necessary aspect of travel surveys. However, owing to the sampling volume, survey budget, and survey frequency, relying solely on travel surveys in the era of big data is a difficult task. There has long been a demand for an accurate, generalizable, and robust inference method for trip purposes. Although existing studies contributed significant efforts to improve the trip purpose inference, the potential of leveraging the trip chain is insufficient. The spatial correlations and chaining patterns hidden in travelled zones are worthy of further exploration. The unequal importance within trip chains has not been clearly represented. Additionally, complex activity-zone mutual interdependence has not been considered in previous models. Herein, we propose a framework-Dual-Flow Attentive Network with Feature Crossing (DACross), specifically for inferring the chained trip purpose. We form trip chains innovatively that treat trip activities and travelled geographic zones as two chains with mutual interactions. We propose DACross, which consists of two parallel attentive branches and a co-attentive feature crossing module, for fully learning the intra- and inter-chain dependencies. We conducted extensive experiments on four large-scale real-world datasets to evaluate not only the performance of DACross but also the generalizability of the proposed framework among different cities and scenarios. Scaled Group Consensus over Weakly Connected Structurally Balanced Graphs

A graph Laplacian based distributed protocol that can achieve a group consensus over weighted, signed, directed, and weakly connected graphs is investigated. It is said to achieve the group consensus if the state of agents who belong to the same group converges to a common value, while the one of agents who belong to another group converges to a different value. It is assumed that no agent knows which group she belongs to before the protocol is executed. In this paper, for a given signed graph which contains a directed spanning tree, namely, at least one leader that can affect all of the other agents, a definition of n-structurally balanced is proposed. It is emphasized that this definition is a generalization of the structurally balanced which leads a bipartite consensus. Then, necessary and sufficient conditions are established to guarantee the agents’ state reaching the group consensus. The results are illustrated through numerical examples.

It is imperative to compile quantum circuits for Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) devices because of the limited connectivity of physical qubits and the high error rates of gate operations. One of the most critical steps in quantum circuit compilation is qubit routing, an NP-Hard problem that involves placing and moving logical qubits to minimize compilation overhead. In this study, we propose ISing mAchine Assisted Quantum compiler (ISAAQ) to perform qubit routing with Ising machines, which can efficiently solve Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization (QUBO) problems. ISAAQ accurately estimates the compilation costs by updating itself using previous compilation results, and accelerates qubit routing by solving QUBO problems in parallel with multiple Ising machines. In addition, ISAAQ exploits a cost-reduction method that implements commutative logical Controlled-NOT (CNOT) gates with fewer physical CNOT gates, which is particularly effective for planar devices when implementing original gates. Experimental results on both IBM QX5 and IBM QX20 show that ISAAQ outperforms the heuristic methods available in Qiskit and tket, as well as an existing QUBO method, requiring fewer physical CNOT gates for most benchmark circuits. In recent years, evolutionary algorithms have been used for many real-world problems, but it takes enormous computation time to obtain the optimal solution due to its high calculation cost. Multi-objective evolutionary algorithms using surrogate models have been studied to reduce the computation time for the optimization. ELMOEA/D is one of the surrogate-assisted multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. ELMOEA/D combines MOEA/D with an extreme learning machine (ELM). This paper analyzes the relation between the estimation accuracy of the surrogate model and the search performance of ELMOEA/D. We experiment on several well-known multi-objective benchmark problems and compare the different number of generations. The experimental results reveal that the estimation accuracy and the search performance decrease as the number of generations increase.
