The use of electronic textbooks (e-book) has been heavily studied over the years due to their flexibility, accessibility, interactivity and extensibility. Yet current shortcomings of ebook, which is often just a digitized version of the original book, do not encourage adoption. Consequently, this leads to a rethinking of e-book that should incorporate current technologies to augment its capabilities, where inclusion of information search and organization tools have shown to be favorable. This paper is on a preliminary work to add intelligence into such tools in terms of information retrieval. Construction of knowledge graph for e-book material with little overhead is first introduced. information retrieval through typed similarity query is then performed via random walk. Case study demonstrates the applicability of the e-book platform, with promising application and advancement in the area of electronic textbooks.

Teenagers can easily expose to criminal activities through media social, surrounding, and peers. They tend to imitate some of these criminal activities such as cyber bullying, fighting, cyber grooming and cyber harassment without thinking of his or communities' side-effect. Therefore, we develop a self-crime prevention modules encompassing faith, positivity, social relationship, role model and reflection tailored for school teens. Then, we make a list of survey questions using 4 Likert scale to measure their acceptance and adaptation after participating our self-crime module. About 105 school children aged 13-17 participated from Sekolah Menengah Titiwangsa and they responded positively with approximately 3.63 of average score. © 2018 IEEE.

A framework for measuring weak values without weak interactions and its diagrammatic representation

Weak values are typically obtained experimentally by performing weak measurements, which involve weak interactions between the measured system and a probe. However, the determination of weak values does not necessarily require weak measurements, and several methods without weak system–probe interactions have been developed previously. In this work, a framework for measuring weak values is proposed to describe the relationship between various weak measurement techniques in a unified manner. This framework, which uses a probe-controlled system transformation instead of the weak system–probe interaction, improves the understanding of the currently used weak value measurement methods. Furthermore, a diagrammatic representation of the proposed framework is introduced to intuitively identify the complex values obtained in each measurement system. By using this diagram, a new method for measuring weak values with a desired function can be systematically derived. As an example, a scan-free and more efficient direct measurement method of wavefunctions than the conventional techniques using weak measurements is developed. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. High-pressure synthesis of denser glass has been a longstanding interest in condensed-matter physics and materials science because of its potentially broad industrial application. Nevertheless, understanding its nature under extreme pressures has yet to be clarified due to experimental and theoretical challenges. Here we reveal the formation of OSi4 tetraclusters associated with that of SiO7 polyhedra in SiO2 glass under ultrahigh pressures to 200 gigapascal confirmed both experimentally and theoretically. Persistent homology analyses with molecular dynamics simulations found increased packing fraction of atoms whose topological diagram at ultrahigh pressures is similar to a pyrite-type crystalline phase, although the formation of tetraclusters is prohibited in the crystalline phase. This critical difference would be caused by the potential structural tolerance in the glass for distortion of oxygen clusters. Furthermore, an expanded electronic band gap demonstrates that chemical bonds survive at ultrahigh pressure. This opens up the synthesis of topologically disordered dense oxide glasses.

This paper is devoted to the direction-of-arrival (DOA) algorithm in the moving array scenario. A beamspace MUSIC algorithm based on space-time signal model is proposed to cope with this scenario. First, the DOA information contained in Doppler shift is used to combine with the array spatial information, thus constructing a space-time signal model. Second, allowing for the considerable dimension and complexity of the space-time model, we transform the array sensor data into beamspace to reduce the computation load. The introduction of Doppler information leads to significant enhancement in algorithm performance. Simulation results demonstrate the promotion of proposed algorithm.

Internet has become the most important infrastructure of modern society, while the existing IP network is unable to provide high-quality service. the unilateralism IP network is unable tosatisfy the Co-managing and Co-governing demands to Cyberspace for most Nations in the worldas well. Facing this challenge, we propose a novel Decentralized Multilateral Co-Governing Post-IP Internet architecture. To verify its effectiveness, we develop theprototype on the operator's networks including China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao. The experiments and testing results show that this architecture is feasible for co-existing of CCN (Content-Centric Networking) andIP network, and it might become a Chinese Solution to the world. IP protocol is the core of TCP/IP network layer. However, since IP address and its Domain Name are allocated and managed by a single agency, there are risks of centralization. The semantic overload of IP address also reduces its scalability and mobility, which further hinders the security. This paper proposes a co-governing Multi-Identifier Network (MIN) architecture that constructs a network layer with parallel coexistence of multiple identifiers, including identity, content, geographic information, and IP address. On the management plane, we develop an efficient management system using consortium blockchain with voting consensus, so the network can simultaneously manage and support by hundreds or thousands of nodes with high throughput. On the data plane, we propose an algorithm merging hash table and prefix tree (HTP) for FIB, which avoids the false-negative error and can inter-translate different identifiers with tens of billions of entries. Further, we propose a scheme to transport IP packets using CCN as a tunnel for supporting progressive deployment. Nowadays, messaging technology in digital data form more often used and not less messages that confidentially wanted. Then it should be modified so that can be understood only by the sender and the intended recipients. All of this system can be realization by using cryptography. LUC algorithms are introduced by Smith and Lennon in 1993. LUC algorithm is an algorithm that based on the use of Lucas sequence (specific arithmetic operations derived from Lucas row) that rarely used to enhance the security of the messages. In this research, LUC algorithm is combined with visual cryptography to process the encryption and the description of a colored image. Four different images were used in the trial here. The performance of the system is assessed using Structural similarity (SSIM) which has an assessment similar to human eye. If the image quality is the same as the original image, then the SSIM value is one. Whereas if the quality of decryption image is very different from the original image then the value of SSIM is zero. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
