With the growth of user generated contents (UGC), it is important to know users' opinions about features of emotions quickly. Visualization and clustering are effective methods to observe summary of opinions. In order to decrease users' effort in examining vast amount of UGC, we proposed an interactive interface to visualize dialog data between human and robots. Before visualization, dialog data are analyzed by MeCab and classified by latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) into several topics. In order to enhance users' perception, this visualization provides a method for coloring sentences with 8 basic colors based on Plutchik's wheel of emotions. This paper explains the developed system with case studies. We expect this visualization assists users to understand user opinions quickly.

Calibration for calculating the external parameter of camera-projector system is important, to make high-precision 3-D measurement by 3-D endoscope using the grid active stereo. In this paper, we propose a new calibration method with a sphere calibration object in a geometrically flexible camera-projector system, and we examine the validity of the proposed method. As the result of comparing using conventional calibration with a plane calibration object, it is clarified that the proposed method resolves the scaling imprecision, that is a problem of the conventional method. Thus, the proposed method has higher potential of measurement accuracy. In addition, it is the advantage of the proposed method that precision estimation of calibration parameters with a low number of input images is possible.

At present, the big data and cloud computing are now attracting attention as the next-generation software service paradigm. Then, the cloud services are served as open source software because of the cost reduction, quick delivery, and work saving. We focus on big data on cloud computing by using open source software. In particular, the software service paradigm is changing to the service one based on the big data on cloud computing. In this paper, we propose a stochastic differential equation model based on two dimensional Wiener processes in order to consider the interesting aspect of the big data and fault one. Also, we derive several reliability assessment measures from the proposed model. Moreover, we analyze actual data to show numerical examples of software reliability assessment considering such characteristics of big data on cloud computing. Furthermore, we show the numerical examples of the proposed model's performance from the standpoint of the data and fault factors.

This report presented a beam steering dipole antenna on incorporate polymeric and High Impedance Surface (HIS). In order to achieve the reconfigurability, two radio frequency (RF) switches are implemented on the antenna. By manipulating the RF switch state, the antenna is capable of reconfiguring its beam into two different directions at 28° and -28°. The RF switch will affected the antenna gain due to the electronic losses, thus High Impedance Surface (HIS) is applied on the antenna. In order to enhance the antenna bandwidth, a polymeric material is employed. With a dimension of 27.45 × 50.7 mm, the antenna has potential to sustain the gain of 6.27 dB and 1.24 GHz of bandwidth for all states.

The purposes of this research are to formulate the equation of motion of the system, to develop computational codes by a finite-element method in order to perform dynamics simulation with vibration control, to propose an effective control scheme and to confirm the calculated results by experiments of a flexible link manipulator. The system used in this paper consists of an aluminum beam as a flexible link, a clamp-part, a servo motor to rotate the link and a piezoelectric actuator to control vibration. Computational codes on time history responses, FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) processing and eigenvalues -eigenvectors analysis were developed to calculate the dynamic behavior of the link. Furthermore, a control scheme using the piezoelectric actuator was designed to suppress the vibration. A proportional controller was designed and demonstrated its performances. The system and the proposed control scheme were confirmed through experiments. The calculated and experimental results revealed that the vibration of the flexible link manipulator can be controlled effectively.
