Achieving Supply Chain 4.0 and the Importance of Agility, Ambidexterity, and Organizational Culture: A Case of Indonesia

This study explores the key determinants of Supply Chain 4.0 (SC4.0) maturity in the context of a developing country by examining the relationships between supply chain ambidexterity, supply chain agility, and the maturity of SC4.0. The study was carried out using the survey method involving 154 managers from Indonesian manufacturing companies. The SC4.0 maturity model was developed and tested using structural equation modeling. From our analysis, it was found that supply chain ambidexterity emphasizing on innovation positively influences the companies’ agility and SC4.0 maturity levels, and supply chain agility partially mediates supply chain ambidexterity. This paper contributes to the operationalization of SC4.0 maturity determinants that incorporate innovation and technological aspects and extends the extant literature by empirically elaborating the determinants and antecedents of SC4.0 maturity that may expedite the achievement of SC4.0 maturity. This implies that companies and supply chain professionals aiming at achieving their SC4.0 maturity should do so by being outward-looking and, at the same time, foster supply chain collaboration with external networks. This paper is pioneering the empirical study on SC4.0 and offers a means to achieving SC4.0 maturity through SC ambidexterity and SC agility, particularly in the context of a developing country. © 2022 by the authors. The stock market is one of the investment options that offer the best potential returns. However, investors are aware of the risk associated with their investments, which is why stock portfolios are established to diversify investments or distribute investments. Managing a portfolio may be challenging because there are so many different stocks. One of the challenges is deciding how much money to invest and how to allocate it for the best results. This paper used the K-means Algorithm for cluster analysis in identifying Decision Making Unit (DMU), the stocks will be grouped according to their characteristics considering their risk and return. Asset allocation per clustered portfolio was performed and the Mean-Variance Model was used to optimize clustered portfolios. This paper aims to use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to evaluate the efficiency of these clustered portfolios/DMUs. In addition, this paper introduces subjective choice in decision-making using the criterion's level of importance to help investors decide which among these efficient DMUs is a better option. The results show 4 Efficient DMUs for 2019 Data, and 3 Efficient DMUs in 2020 Data. All simulations were carried out using the MATLAB environment platform.

Complaint resolution that arise due to internal and external factors in a company can be monitored through the Service Recovery Index (SRI), and SRI is developed through a number of factors that influence it. Meanwhile, the SRI model needs to be developed to see the business sustainability through implementation knowledge management system in the organization. The data collection method was carried out, starting with building a research instrument based on knowledge management theory and continued with observation and distributing questionnaires to respondents who were involved in the business process of managing SRI. The data analysis method was used to process the data from the questionnaire, factor analysis method was used and the method to build the model used was the regression analysis method. The results obtained from this study are the discovery of 4 (four) factors with a number of indicators that are grouped on each formed factor, which can then be made and built a readiness model that reflects current conditions, so that it can be used to build predictions in the future related to readiness. implementation of knowledge management system development in order to support increased understanding of the service recovery index in the organization.

This paper presents a framework for portfolio selection in the transportation services, hotel and leisure, and education subsectors of the Philippine market using the mean-variance model. Using the service sector and the broader market as benchmarks, this study spans 7,670 test days from January 1, 1993, to December 31, 2022, identifying optimal risk-return factors (RRFs) of $\mathbf{0. 4}$ for transportation, 0.2 for hotel and leisure, and 0.3 for education. Furthermore, the higher percentage allocations the investors are recommended to invest in are International Container Terminal Services, Inc., Waterfront Philippines, Incorporated, and Far Eastern University, Incorporated. Paired t-test results, with p-values below 0.01 and 0.05, indicate these subsectors can outperform the service sector. The study also conducted a comparative analysis with 30-year historical data to crisis periods like the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) and the COVID-19 pandemic, exhibiting distinct performance trends and emphasizing the need for tailored strategies during economic disruptions. The findings of this research may provide an alternative portfolio selection model for investors seeking to optimize their investment portfolios.

An e-Commerce company has been using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for several years, but is still constrained in its implementation, this is reflected in the number of issue/change request tickets submitted by users who have not been able to reach ideal conditions. To overcome this problem, we need an appropriate reference model, the ERP system user acceptance model in companies. The study conducted factors that influence the level of acceptance of SAP ERP users in the XYZ group to then determine a model that is able to explain practically the level of ERP system user acceptance, which in turn can produce concrete proposals to increase ERP system user acceptance. Research is quantitative descriptive using factor analysis and regression analysis methods. The research method uses a questionnaire with a total of 107 valid respondents coming from 8 company names under the XYZ group in 6 Southeast Asian countries. The conclusion of the study is that there are 24 indicators and 4 factors that influence user acceptance of the SAP ERP system. These four factors are the low contribution of the ERP system, the quality of ERP systems and data, the development of ERP systems, and also the low quality of ERP system supporters. It is hoped that by optimizing the value of the 4 factors, the XYZ group can increase user acceptance of the SAP ERP system so that the system can provide benefits expected by the company to be competitive advantage. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research is an approach to intelligent vehicles with a LoRa communication system, LoRaWAN compatible for Long-Range and Outdoor Communication, but in this paper, we will test the ability of LoRa to handle autonomous vehicles, a Blind-Adaptive Data method will be tried on vehicles systems. The system offered is when the vehicle is running, the sensor will send position data in real-time, the number of vehicles is four, and GPS data is sent alternately using the Blind Adaptive Data Rate principle to avoid data collisions, and when the GPS shows a certain position, the value of SF is ascertained, which affects the data rate and ToA, and the output given is RSSI on each car, speed of a car, power consumption of sensor nodes, signal power, SNR, Bit rate or data rate, and sensitivity. With the Blind ADR principle, it is ensured that there is no data collision between car position data that causes packet loss. © 2023 IEEE.

Wasserstein robust classification with fairness constraints

We propose a distributionally robust classification model with a fairness constraint that encourages the classifier to be fair in view of the equality of opportunity criterion. We use a type-1 Wasserstein ambiguity set centered at the empirical distribution to model distributional uncertainty and derive a conservative reformulation for the worst-case equal opportunity unfairness measure. We establish that the model is equivalent to a mixed binary optimization problem, which can be solved by standard off-the-shelf solvers. To improve scalability, we further propose a convex, hinge-loss-based model for large problem instances whose reformulation does not incur any binary variables. Moreover, we also consider the distributionally robust learning problem with a generic ground transportation cost to hedge against the uncertainties in the label and sensitive attribute. Finally, we numerically demonstrate that our proposed approaches improve fairness with negligible loss of predictive accuracy. © 2021, CC BY.

Melanoma is the most lethal skin malignancy. Fucoxanthin is a marine carotenoid with significant anticancer activities. Intriguingly, Fucoxanthin's impact on human melanoma remains elusive. Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3) represents a promising target in cancer therapy due to its persistent activation in various cancers, including melanoma. Herein, we revealed that Fucoxanthin is cytotoxic to human melanoma cell lines A2758 and A375 while showing limited cytotoxicity to normal human melanocytes. Apoptosis is a primary reason for Fucoxanthin's melanoma cytotoxicity, as the pan-caspase inhibitor z-VAD-fmk drastically abrogated Fucoxanthin-elicited clonogenicity blockage. Besides, Fucoxanthin downregulated tyrosine 705-phosphorylated STAT3 (p-STAT3 (Y705)), either inherently present in melanoma cells or inducible by interleukin 6 (IL-6) stimulation. Notably, ectopic expression of STAT3-C, a dominant-active STAT3 mutant, abolished Fucoxanthin-elicited melanoma cell apoptosis and clonogenicity inhibition, supporting the pivotal role of STAT3 blockage in Fucoxanthin's melanoma cytotoxicity. Moreover, Fucoxanthin lowered BCL-xL levels by blocking STAT3 activation, while ectopic BCL-xL expression rescued melanoma cells from Fucoxanthin-induced killing. Lastly, Fucoxanthin was found to diminish the levels of JAK2 with dual phosphorylation at tyrosine residues 1007 and 1008 in melanoma cells, suggesting that Fucoxanthin impairs STAT3 signaling by blocking JAK2 activation. Collectively, we present the first evidence that Fucoxanthin is cytotoxic selectively against human melanoma cells while sparing normal melanocytes. Mechanistically, Fucoxanthin targets the JAK2/STAT3/BCL-xL antiapoptotic axis to provoke melanoma cell death. This discovery implicates the potential application of Fucoxanthin as a chemopreventive or therapeutic strategy for melanoma management. © 2024 Wiley Periodicals LLC.

Aside from providing considerable benefits to individuals, AI can also generate anxiety, especially given its sophistication and the level of intimidation that exists in everyday life. The aim of the paper is to assess the usage behavior of AI, using anxiety-related AI configuration as an exogenous variable and gender as a moderating factor. This study was conducted using a quantitative method with empirical approach, utilizing data from 81 participating Indonesian academics. We used SmartPLS 4.0 and SEM-PLS to conduct this research. The study's findings effectively show that anxiety-related AI configurations significantly influence AI usage behavior in negative interactions (P value $=\mathbf{0. 024}$ ; original sample $=-0.51$ ). This study also explained that as worry levels increase, women's efficiency decreases, resulting in a lower aptitude for AI use when compared to men. As their anxiety levels increase, more women consider using artificial intelligence. This study benefits both scholars and the industry by deepening our understanding of behavioral attitudes towards AI use, with a particular focus on gender-based AI users.

The present research explores the behavioral perspective of the millennial generation on job pursuit intention on Multi-Level Marketing companies through social media. Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are used to assess the job pursuit intention. The data were analyzed by Structural Equation Model (SEM). Analysis reveals the strong influence of attitude on job pursuit intention. The result in this research can be used as the theoretical basis that can be very beneficial for MLM companies, investors, and academicians in marketing. Further theoretical and practical suggestions are discussed.
