Slip detecting tactile sensors are essential to achieve a human-like gripping motion with a robot hand. In previous researches, we have proposed flexible, thin and lightweight slip sensor utilizing characteristics of pressure conductive rubber. However, It was hard for this sensor to distinguish between the object slip and the normal force change. Therefore, we consider the separative method using high frequency elements generated by object slipping. In this paper, we design the information processing method and developed the sensor detecting both contact and initial slip in high sensitivity and a simple composition.

Recurring problems in the application of a new software process improvement model have to do with the lack of knowledge about how it works, its dissemination and the tools available, making it difficult to acquire the model and then understand it. Nowadays, e-learning systems could help Very Small Software Entities (VSEs), to get to know and understand software models and their peculiarities. To address this issue, this paper focuses on the development of a tool based on e-learning standards;it is called the HEPALE! Project. This project is composed of three steps. First, the creation of a deployment package set, in line with ISO/IEC PDTR 29110-5-1 Software Engineering-Lifecycle Profiles for VSEs, for implementing software process improvement models, as well for making them easier to use. Secondly, the creation of a repository that supports changes in the deployment packages, based on e-learning standards and tools, to create, represent, interact with and manipulate learning objects and e-learning. Finally, the last part aims to spread the software development models COMPETISOFT and ISO/IEC 29110-5-1, the application of technologies that make use of e-learning. All this is done to aid VSEs in bringing best practices into their software production.

Learning styles are considered as an important factor in education, however, often students have to learn from material or in courses which do not support their learning styles. A challenge in the area of adaptivity is not only to provide learners with courses that fit the students' learning styles but can also veer towards supporting students to learn in courses that does not match their learning styles. In this paper, we analyse the interactions between students' learning styles, their achievement, and their general behaviour in a course that is mismatched regarding their learning styles. The impact of the strength of learning style preferences on achievement, correlations between particular learning styles and achievement, as well as students' behaviour with respect to their achievement and their learning styles are analysed and discussed. As a result, we found that students with strong learning style preferences have more difficulties in learning in mismatched courses. Furthermore, the results show that reflective learners can cope better with mismatched courses than active learners. Moreover, we found that learners with different learning styles and achievement have different behaviour in the course as well as identified correlations between the behaviour and the achievement considering the students' learning styles. The results of this study help, on one hand, to get a better understanding of the interactions between students' learning styles, achievement, and behaviour in a mismatched course and, on the other hand, provide information about how to identify learners who might face difficulties in learning in a mismatched course.

Many researches have been conducted with respect to learning styles in technology enhanced learning, especially in the area of adaptive learning. Most of these researches used assumptions about how students with different learning styles behave in a system based on the respective learning style theory. However, most of these theories are developed for traditional learning rather than online learning. In this study, we investigated the behaviour of students in a learning management system and correlated the students' behaviour with their learning style preferences. The resulting correlations confirm that students with different learning styles behave differently in an online course, which gives another evidence for the potential of adaptive learning based on learning styles. Furthermore, our findings can contribute in the development of adaptive systems, making adaptive features more accurate and automatic student modelling more precise by combining the results of this study with the conclusions from literature.
