Towards Robust Video Anomaly Detection in 6G Networks: A Scene-Adaptive Framework

With the rapid advancement of 5th Generation (5G) networks, their low latency and high bandwidth facilitate the development of smart city systems. Among the smart city systems, anomaly detection in surveillance videos has been an essential part due to its importance to public safety and security. With the transition to 6G technology, the practical applications of video anomaly detection are expanding to encompass a variety of scenarios, such as sidewalks, shopping malls and campuses, which exhibit significant differences. However, most existing anomaly detection methods deployed in the cloud typically rely on the fixed datasets for training and apply the trained uniform model to the edge services across different scenarios. The distinct environmental conditions may lead to varying performance of a uniform anomaly detection model. To alleviate these issues, we propose a scene-adaptive video anomaly detection framework in 6G-based applications. The proposed framework leverages the advantages of 6G networks to facilitate localized processing and rapid adaptation to diverse environments. To enable the anomaly detection model to adapt more robustly to local environments, the proposed framework integrates a pre-trained model and simulates anomalies to train the anomaly detection model in a denoising manner. By integrating pre-trained teacher models with edge computing nodes, the proposed method facilitates accurate anomaly detection while maintaining robust performance across varying scenarios. The framework utilizes both original data and simulated anomalous data to fine-tune the edge model, ensuring it aligns with the unique characteristics of each environment. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method across different scenarios, enabling smarter and more responsive surveillance systems in the 6G era. © 2025 IEEE.

w-Projection is a wide-field imaging technique that is widely used in radio synthesis arrays. Processing the wide-field big data generated by the future Square Kilometre Array(SKA) will require significant updates to current methods to significantly reduce the time consumed on data processing. data loading and gridding are found to be two major time-consuming tasks in w-projection. In this paper, we investigate two parallel methods of accelerating w-projection processing on multiple nodes: the hybrid Message Passing Interface(MPI) and Open Multi-Processing(OpenMP) method based on multicore Central Processing Units(CPUs) and the hybrid MPI and Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA)method based on Graphics Processing Units(GPUs). Both methods are successfully employed and operated in various computational environments, confirming their robustness. The experimental results show that the total runtime of both MPI + OpenMP and MPI + CUDA methods is significantly shorter than that of single-thread processing. MPI + CUDA generally shows faster performance when running on multiple nodes than MPI + OpenMP, especially on large numbers of nodes. The single-precision GPU-based processing yields faster computation than the double-precision processing; while the single-and doubleprecision CPU-based processing shows consistent computational performance. The gridding time remarkably increases when the support size of the convolution kernel is larger than 8 and the image size is larger than 2,048 pixels. The present research offers useful guidance for developing SKA imaging pipelines.

Currently, an increasing number of data owners prefer to store their data on remote servers due to a number of appealing advantages of cloud storage, say convenience and simplicity, scalability of the service and ubiquitous network access. However, outsourced data's transfer becomes a critical requirement for cloud users because of the emergence of various cloud storage services with different qualities of services. Therefore, the users might not only be anxious about the status of their data on cloud servers but also care whether the data are transferred entirely to the new cloud without corruption and whether the data on original cloud are discarded. To address these challenging issues, in this paper, we propose a novel auditing scheme for cloud storage services characterised by secure data transfer, provable data erasure, high error detection probability, confidential data storage. The proposed scheme can guarantee the integrity of remote data when the data are hosted on cloud servers and are transferred between two clouds, and secure deletion of the transferred data on the original cloud. In large-scale SDN network, a single centralized controller can not meet the demand, and multiple controllers are needed to deal with the problem, which leads to the problem of multi control balanced deployment. In this paper, the topology of SDN switches and links is known. The main research contents are as follows: The mathematical model of SDN multi controller deployment is established, and the appropriate network topology is selected and the multi controller deployment problem is solved. In the research, the number of controllers needed in the network and the switches managed by each controller is determined by the algorithm results, and the mapping relationship between controllers and switches is established. By analyzing the deployment results of the same network topology under different algorithms, the influence of different clustering algorithms on the experimental results is obtained. At the same time, the better deployment experiment results are simulated. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

At present, small files stored in most of the distributed storage systems account for a large proportion, how to improve the storage efficiency of small file has long been a hot issue in the academic community. In the existing methods, researchers usually integrate small files into content-related large files for association storage. The shortcoming is that if we read some small files in a large file, the entire large file must be read into the cache space, which greatly reduces the utilization of the cache space. To solve this defect, this paper designs a scheme based on the combination of cache replacement optimization algorithm and multi-level cache dynamic elimination mechanism. We compute the content heat value of the cache object by the cache replacement optimization algorithm, and then through the multi-level cache dynamic elimination mechanism we expel the object with low content heat value in the cache space to reserve enough space for the new arrived object. This proposed method not only improves the cache space utilization, but also increases the cache data search efficiency and hit rate. Series of experiments and their result show that the cache hit rate obtained by our proposed method is 14% higher than the LRU cache replacement algorithm and 52% higher than the LFU cache replacement algorithm, which can optimize the reading performance of small files based on Redis cache. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

In view of the problem that the result accuracy of the research publication recommendations of manuscripts is often low. It is very difficult for many contributors to find the suitable journals from many recommendation results. To solve this problem, a novel method of publication recommendations for authors’ manuscripts is proposed using our improved C4.5 decision tree algorithm. For the shortcomings of too many values of data samples during dealing with the traditional C4.5 methods, the five-value logic ideas are adopted to improve this C4.5 algorithm to apply in the research fields of publication recommendations. The experimental results show that the related publications are easier to obtain for authors via the decision trees with the improved C4.5 method than before, and this method has higher accuracy than ever. It is of great significance to help the researchers, especially for those who have no enough experience to choose the most suitable journals from a lot of publications. © 2018, Springer International Publishing AG.

Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), based on fundamental principles of quantum mechanics, plays an irreplaceable role in national defense, financial and government affairs. Security analysis of QKD system is of great importance. However, existing studies on modeling QKD system are theory analysis based. In this paper, we propose a Simulation System of Physical Components (SSPC) in QKD system which modeling the three key modules: single photon source, quantum channel and single photon detector, it could generate the simulated key resemble to real QKD physical system and its parameters of the physical components are configurable. Software Defined Networks (SDN) decouples control plane and data plane, which simplifies network management. However, there are still some security threats which limit the large scale deployment of SDN. In this paper, we present a solution which integrates Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology with SDN in the southbound interface to fulfill secure communication between controller and switches. Rather than merely employ Transport Level Security (TLS) protocol in OpenFlow standard, the proposed scheme can prevent the Man-In-The-Middle (MITM) attack. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2017.
