In view of the problem that the result accuracy of the research publication recommendations of manuscripts is often low. It is very difficult for many contributors to find the suitable journals from many recommendation results. To solve this problem, a novel method of publication recommendations for authors’ manuscripts is proposed using our improved C4.5 decision tree algorithm. For the shortcomings of too many values of data samples during dealing with the traditional C4.5 methods, the five-value logic ideas are adopted to improve this C4.5 algorithm to apply in the research fields of publication recommendations. The experimental results show that the related publications are easier to obtain for authors via the decision trees with the improved C4.5 method than before, and this method has higher accuracy than ever. It is of great significance to help the researchers, especially for those who have no enough experience to choose the most suitable journals from a lot of publications. © 2018, Springer International Publishing AG.

Absorption enhancement in thin film a-Si solar cells with double-sided SiO_2 particle layers

Light absorption enhancement is very important for improving the power conversion efficiency of a thin film a-Si solar cell. In this paper, a thin-film a-Si solar cell model with double-sided SiO2 particle layers is designed, and then the underlying mechanism of absorption enhancement is investigated by finite difference time domain（FDTD） simulation;finally the feasible experimental scheme for preparing the SiO2 particle layer is discussed. It is found that the top and bottom SiO2 particle layers play an important role in anti-reflection and light trapping, respectively. The light absorption of the cell with double-sided SiO2 layers greatly increases in a wavelength range of 300 nm-800 nm, and the ultimate efficiency increases more than 22% compared with that of the flat device. The cell model with double-sided SiO2 particle layers reported here can be used in varieties of thin film solar cells to further improve their performances.

cloud service is considered to be an attempt to change the traditional calculation model and the revolutionary technology of the system architecture, whose idea is similar to the grid computing. For this infrastructure, programmer must take into consideration of many complex aspects: the distribution of data and computing, parallel computing on different domains, processors, computers and load balance issues. In this article, we first define an extended Pi calculus to solve the distribution of cloud service by extension of domain, migration application of abstraction process, and the high-order trait by extension of high-order functionality. Based on the proposed calculus, the high-order cloud service components and their compositions are defined by the terms of the calculus. Hence, the proposed Higher-Order cloud Service Component (HOCSC) is a novel SOA programming scheme, which can be widely used in a variety of cloud service environments. As a generic component, it can be parameterized and customized well. Unlike to the ordinary component, not only the data but also the running code can be customized. Compared to the First-Order cloud services and their compositions, the essential characteristics of Higher-Order ones lie in the abstraction, application and migration application of abstraction process. In view of the special construction of cloud service composition, necessary extensions to WSDL have been carried on to represent the real services. © 2016 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.

Recently, a novel technology named wireless power transfer (WPT) has been presented which transfers contactless power by weak magnetic coupling. Generally, WPT system is a high order plant with nonlinear, strong coupling and parameters varying. Therefore, it is difficult to reach the accurate model of WPT system. In this paper, a modified parallel chaos optimization algorithm (PCOA) is proposed for parameter identification of WPT system. Here, the parameter identification of WPT system is considered as an optimization problem, a fitness function which minimize the difference between the identified and actual values is constructed. The parameters of WPT system are identified simultaneously using sampled input-output data. Simulation results demonstrate that the PCOA based parameter identification method is effective for WPT system. © 2017 IEEE.

In multi-criteria collaborative filtering, the data sparsity is a critical factor affecting the effectiveness of the algorithm. Existing solutions generally remove low-efficiency data through dimensionality reduction, decomposition, etc. While at lower data dimension, they also lose original data information, which impacts the accuracy of predicted ratings. This paper adopts a new processing strategy and proposes to use the matrix filling method to handle the missing data. Firstly, an improved similarity algorithm combined with the Jaccard Similarity Coefficient is used to calculate the predicted rating. Secondly, the Reliable Factor is introduced to prevent the error of filling data. Finally, multiple linear regression is employed for aggregating the ratings of the criteria to eventually yield preferred predicted ratings. A series of experiments show that the proposed method can precisely reflect the user's similarity and achieve better results in predicted ratings, in contrast to traditional methods. © 2018 IEEE.

In this article, we introduce a filtering antenna with broadband and a compact design. It leverages metasurface (MTS) technology in conjunction with the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) topology. The antenna consists of three parts, including the feeding line, the aperture layer, and the MTS layer. The MTS is excited by a coupled aperture cut out of the ground plane. Besides, the CSRR is loaded on the ground plane to utilize the resonant characteristic and obtain a low-frequency radiation null. Furthermore, the MTS is made up of non-uniform rectangle units and a rectangle ring slot is etched in the outer elements. Due to the non-uniformity of the MTS and the rectangle ring slot, the excited current of the MTS at high frequency is neutralized and two high-frequency radiation nulls are obtained. Hence, the filtering function of the antenna is achieved. In the simulation, the antenna shows a wide -10-dB impedance bandwidth of 40.8% and a good out-of-band radiation suppression level of more than 15 dB. Meanwhile, the antenna has a low prolife of 0.06 λ (at the center operating frequency) and a peak gain of 8 dBi. © 2023 IEEE.

A wideband tri-polarization reconfigurable metasurface (MTS) antenna with a filtering function is presented in this article. The proposed antenna consists of two layers, which are the coupled aperture layer and MTS layer. The antenna is excited by a microstrip printed on the bottom of the aperture layer, and the ground plane is fabricated on the top. A reconfigured coupled aperture achieved polarization diversity is etched on the ground plane. Additionally, the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is loaded on the ground plane and introduced a low-frequency radiated null. Six sets of PIN diodes are inserted on the microstrip and the reconfigured coupled aperture. By controlling the PIN diodes, polarization diversity is obtained, including linear polarization (LP), right-hand circular polarization (RHCP), and left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) modes. Besides, the MTS is manufactured on the top of the MTS layer. A high-frequency radiated null is realized by the non-uniform MTS. Thus, a polarization diversity with filtering performance antenna based on non-uniform is proposed. The simulated results show the antenna has a wide impedance bandwidth (IMBW) of 41.4% and 45.6% for LP and CP modes, respectively. While the antenna is operated in CP modes, an overlapped 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth reaches 16.2% for both CP modes. Meanwhile, the out-of-band radiation suppression level is more than 14.6 dB and 17 dB for LP and CP modes. © 2023 IEEE.

To improve the efficiency of Cyber-Physical systems (CPSs), based on Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization (QPSO), a new optimization algorithm named K-means Multigroup Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization (KMQPSO) for actuator node deployment in CPS is proposed in this paper. The algorithm clusters M sensor nodes into N classes by using K-means algorithm, and then generates an initial solution of algorithm by taking the range center of N classes as location coordinate of N actuator nodes, and shares the information at a certain frequency of communication while particle swarms searching independently for solution space. Several experiments were conducted to evaluate this algorithm and compare the performances with other latest actuator deployment algorithms, the results show that the proposed method can improve the real-time coverage rate.
