In order to enhance the dissemination power of Zhuang culture and enhance the influence of traditional Chinese culture, this article proposes a data set containing the characteristic cultural products of the Zhuang nationality for the unique cultural development of the Zhuang nationality. The data set has a total of 1890 images and contains three categories, namely Zhuang Five-color glutinous rice, Zhuang Bronze drum, and Zhuang Hydrangea. At the same time, the YOLOV3-SPP network based on the darknet53 model is improved, and the ResNet101 structure is introduced to improve the robustness of the network. The verification results on the Zhuang characteristic data set show that the improved YOLOV3-SPP network has an accuracy rate of 92.78% on the Zhuang characteristic data set, which is 1.28% higher than the original YOLOV3-SPP network. The experimental results show that the improved YOLOV3-SPP structure can better realize the detection of the characteristic culture of the Zhuang nationality. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this article, we consider the problem of semi-supervised data stream classification. The main difficulties of data stream semi-supervised classification include how to jointly utilize labeled and unlabeled samples to adress concept drift detection and how to use unlabeled to update trained classifier. Existing algorithms like the CPSSDS method constantly retrain a new classifier when concept drift is detected, it is very consuming and wasteful. In this paper, the algorithm of data stream semi-supervised classification with recurring concept drift named as CPSSDS-R is proposed. First, the labeled samples in the first data block are used to initialize a classifier, which is added into a pool and actived for classification. While a new data block arrives, concept drift is detected by computing conformal prediction results. If no concept drift is detected, the pseudo-labeled samples in the previous data block are added with the labeled samples in the current data block to incrementally train the active classifier. If a new concept is detected, a new classifier is trained on the labeled samples of the current data block and added into the pool and actived for classification, else if a recurring concept is detected, the pseudo-labeled samples and labeled samples in the current data block are used to incrementally update the classifier corresponding to the recurring concept in the pool and actived for classification. The proposed algorithm is tested on multiple synthetic and real datasets, and its cumulative accuracy and block accuracy at different labeling ratios demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Low-light few-shot object detection via curve contrast enhancement and flow-encoder-based variational autoencoder

Aiming at the problem of insufficient samples in low-light object detection in some environments, a low-light few-shot object detection method based on curve contrast enhancement and flow-encoder-based variational autoencoder (CCEFVAE) is proposed. Our approach involves designing a CCE module to enhance the detailed features and contrast of low-light images by deriving a relationship expression between the enhanced image and the low-light image through the recursive relationship of high-order curves. The lumination estimation module in the CCE module estimates the parameters of the expression to calculate the pixel values of the enhanced image. Moreover, we propose an FVAE module to improve the decoupling of support features by combining the flow model encoder with the variational autoencoder, facilitating subsequent feature aggregation and classification. To ensure the consistency of the loss function of the flow model with the few-shot object detection loss, we design a negative Jacobian determinant transformation function. This enables direct addition of the two losses, allowing for unified optimization. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm outperforms mainstream few-shot object detection models by an average of 13.1–23% in average after training on the low-light dataset (ExDark), and shows an average improvement of 5.8% compared to the state-of-the-art (SOTA) few-shot object detection model VFA. When trained on the normal lighting dataset (PASCAL VOC), the proposed algorithm exhibits a 1.7% improvement in average compared to VFA. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

Power safety is closely related to people’s well-being. Electric power sectors regularly inspect and maintain power lines to guarantee people’s safe and stable use of electricity, and the current mainstream inspection method is to use UAVs for power inspection. Traditional inspection and detection methods have many shortcomings, such as high labor costs, slow inspection speed, low detection efficiency, and single detection targets. In this paper, a set of smart power inspection systems based on YOLOv7 was designed to check the common potential security risks of power lines such as bird nests, insulators, garbage, and hardware. After the detection, the detection report could be generated. The system adopted the YOLOv7 target detection algorithm. The accuracy rate of all detection targets was up to 93.9%, and the mAP @.5% reached 95.9%. Therefore, the algorithm could greatly improve the detection efficiency and greatly facilitate the electric power sectors to check power lines, so it has a high use value. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Facing the pressure of the extremely inflated network information and data overload surplus, it is extremely important to locate "valuable information" efficiently and accurately. Text summarization technology in the field of Natural Language processing (NLP) is an effective means to analyze and process network information. In this paper, we propose an abstractive text summarization model based on bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) vectorization and bidirectional decoding. The BERT is adopted to obtain a more global vector representation, which helps the subsequent encoder and decoder to fuse the full-text information to generate a summary with high generality. The decoding phase adopts a bidirectional decoding structure and combines the attention mechanism to maintain the bilateral decoding result to generate summaries. The bidirectional decoding structure can be fine-tuned according to the bidirectional results, which can overcome the tilt problem of the unidirectional structure, and the generated summaries are more consistent. The experimental results on the NLPCC2017 text summarization dataset show that the summaries generated by our model have the higher coherence at the word and sentence level, and the stronger generalization of the full text. © 2023 SPIE.

Accurately predicting splice sites in DNA sequences is not only of utmost importance in the study of gene expression and protein synthesis, but also crucial to precisely understanding the pathogenesis of various diseases related to splicing. In the past few decades, several tools for identifying splice sites have been developed, however, many of them ignore the contextual influence in DNA sequences in the process of encoding, consequently leading to considerable false positives in prediction. Additionally, most methods solely investigate canonical splicing whereas pay little attention to non-canonical ones. To address the issues mentioned above, we propose a comprehensive method, SpliceCannon, for accurately predicting both canonical and non-canonical splice sites based on neural networks. This method uses the combination of k-nucleotide frequencies and Doc2vec to encode the sequence, then employs a series of comprehensive neural networks such as bidirectional long short-term memory networks and residual networks to effectively extract features from the original sequence while avoiding the problems such as gradient vanishing. The results demonstrate that our method consistently achieves high accuracy when tested on multiple species. Compared to other recent methods, our model exhibits superior performance, stronger generalization ability, and wider applicability. In particular, The recognition accuracy is also remarkably high on the non-canonical dataset. We envision that this proposed method will serve as a promising tool for splice sites prediction to facilitate genomic research. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, there has been widespread interest in arbitrary-shaped scene text spotting, showing notable progress in both speed and accuracy. However, common issues such as model complexity, slow inference speed, and challenges in deployment persist. For this reason, this paper proposes Weakly Supervised Point-collection Network (WSPNet) for arbitrarily shaped scene text, which adopts deformable convolutional single-shot network architecture to realize multi-branch parallel reading of text, and combines weakly supervised text line point sampling to realize sampling recognition and transcription of arbitrarily shaped text instances. To enhance the robustness of multi-scale fusion, we utilize the Text Feature Fusion (TFF) module to dynamically acquire key features at different scales during the fusion process. This approach aims to reduce discrepancies in scale fusion. Extensive experiments on arbitrarily shaped benchmarks show that WSPNet achieves competitive accuracy and speed. For example, the proposed method achieves an end-to-end text recognition F-measure of 63.4 on the Total-Text dataset at 35.5 FPS, which is competitive with the best results in terms of speed and accuracy balance. © 2024 SPIE.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has been a key research area since the 1950s, initially focused on using logic and reasoning to create systems that understand language, control robots, and offer expert advice. With the rise of big data and deep learning, AI has advanced in applications like recommendation systems, image recognition, and machine translation, primarily through optimizing loss functions in deep neural networks to improve accuracy and reduce training *** descent is the core optimization method but faces challenges like slow convergence and local minima. To overcome these, algorithms like Momentum, AdaGrad, RMSProp, Adadelta, Adam, and Nadam have been developed, introducing momentum and adaptive learning rates to accelerate convergence. This paper presents a new optimization algorithm that combines the strengths of Adam and AdaGrad, offering better adaptability to different learning rates.

2D human posture detection, a challenging task in computer vision, aims to identify human body key points and is widely used. The HRNet model performs well in human key point detection. To enhance its effect in human posture detection and address suboptimal prediction accuracy in interactive occlusion, this paper combines HRNet and Transformer. The Transformer's attention mechanism handles complex image dependencies, and HRNet obtains image features. By embedding the Transformer's attention mechanism module into HRNet's backbone network and integrating a self-designed double-branch structure and convolutional attention module an improved HRNet model is constructed. The DConvAttention module processes extracted features and the convolutional attention mechanism balances image frequencies, enhancing processing and discrimination of complex backgrounds and occlusions and improving detection performance. In tests of complex and occluded images, the improved HRNet Local model has a 4.2M parameter increase, 0.5G FLOPs increase, and 1% mAP increase compared to HRNet, with the same recall rate. The improved HRNet Global model has 11M more parameters, 1.1G more FLOPS a similar or slightly higher recall rate, and a 2% higher mAP value.
