This treatise proposes a new algorithm of encrypting images by combining Sine map with generalized Arnold transformation. The algorithm adds a shift transformation link to the common permutation-diffusion structure. Firstly,the plain-image is permutated in pixel positions by using the generalized Arnold transformation. Secondly,the permutated image is diffused by using the Sine map. Then,the diffused image is performed through the shifting process,which can avoid multiple encryption and shorten the encryption time. The results of analysis and experimental tests for the proposed algorithm have been given in detail,which showed that our new algorithm is highly secure. In conclusion,it has great application potential in Internet-based image secure communication.

Multicast performs better than unicast in delivering the same content from a fixed single source to a set of destinations. Many efforts have been made to optimize such kind of deterministic multicast, such as minimizing the transmission cost of each multicast session. In practice, it is not necessary that the source of each multicast session has to be in a specific location, as long as certain constraints are satisfied. Accordingly, applications usually meet a novel multicast with uncertain sources, ie, uncertain multicast. That is, multiple nodes have the responsibility to act as the root node of a multicast session. Prior proposals have addressed an uncertain multicast by constructing the minimum cost forest. However, it is still unknown how to efficiently share the network resources, when a set of uncertain multicast occupies the network simultaneously. To tackle such a challenging issue, we present the packing problem of uncertain multicasts (MPU) to minimize the total transmission cost, under the constraint of link capacity. We prove that the MPU problem is NP-hard. An intrinsic solution is constructing the minimum cost forest for each uncertain multicast individually. This method, however, is inefficient and may be infeasible because of the constraint of link capacity. Thus, we design 2 dedicated greedy methods, named priority-based and adjusting congested link, to approximate the optimal solution. The comprehensive results indicate that both of our 2 methods can find a feasible solution for the MPU problem. Moreover, given a set of uncertain multicasts, the adjusting congested link method can generate a desired transmission structure for each uncertain multicast and achieve the least total cost when packing them. Software Watermarking Scheme Based on Multivariate Public key Cryptosystem

Software watermarking is an efficient tool to verify the copyright of software. Public key cryptosystem-based watermarking is widely researched. However, the popular public key cryptosystem is not secure under quantum algorithm. This paper proposes a novel soft-ware watermarking scheme based on multivariate public key cryptosystem. The copyright information generated by copyright holder is transformed into copyright numbers using multivariate quadratic polynomial equations inspired by multivariate public key cryptosystem （MPKC）. Every polynomial is embedded into the host program independently. Based on the security performance of MPKC, the robustness and invisibility of the proposed scheme is significantly improved in comparison with the RSA-based watermarking method.

A variety of faults often occurduring the operation of PV arrays, which may seriously affect the normal operation of the system, the machine diagnosis of the types of fault has become a hotspot in the field of photovoltaic power generation. This paper proposes a novel fault diagnostic technique for photovoltaic systems based on Cascaded Forest. Through the in-depth analysis of the output of PV arrays froma data platform of ShijiazhuangKelin Electric Co, the input variables of the diagnosis model are obtained. Compared with other fault diagnosis methods for the PV array, the proposed method can work under a small number of tagged data and the system can be run online and real-time. Finally, the experimental results show that the fault diagnosis method for the PV array based on the cascading forests can effectively detect four types of fault for PV array such as short-circuit, open-circuit, abnormal degradation and partial shading. This method has a good value for the intelligent fault diagnosis of PV. © 2017 Association for Computing Machinery.

A hybrid MILP and IPM for dynamic economic dispatch with valve point effect

Dynamic economic dispatch with valve-point effect (DED-VPE) is a non-convex and non-differentiable optimization problem which is difficult to solve efficiently. In this paper, a hybrid mixed integer linear programming (MILP) and interior point method (IPM), denoted by MILP-IPM, is proposed to solve such a DED-VPE problem, where the complicated transmission loss is also included. Due to the non-differentiable characteristic of DED-VPE, the classical derivative-based optimization methods can not be used any more. With the help of model reformulation, a differentiable non-linear programming (NLP) formulation which can be directly solved by IPM is derived. However, if the DED-VPE is solved by IPM in a single step, the optimization will easily trap in a poor local optima due to its non-convex and multiple local minima characteristics. To exploit a better solution, an MILP method is required to solve the DED-VPE without transmission loss, yielding a good initial point for IPM to improve the quality of the solution. Simulation results demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed MILP-IPM in solving DED-VPE. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Dynamic economic dispatch (DED) problem considering prohibited operating zones (POZ), ramp rate constraints, transmission losses and spinning reserve constraints is a complicated non-linear problem which is difficult to solve efficiently. In this paper, a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) method is proposed to solve such a DED problem. Firstly, a novel MILP formulation for DED problem without considering the transmission losses, denoted by MILP-1, is presented by using perspective cut reformulation technique. When the transmission losses are considered, the quadratic terms in the transmission losses are replaced by their first order Taylor expansions, and then an MILP formulation for DED considering the transmission losses, denoted by MILP-2, is obtained. Based on MILP-1 and MILP-2, an MILP-iteration algorithm (MILP-IA) is proposed to solve the complicated DED problem. The effectiveness of the MILP-1 and MILP-IA are assessed by several cases and the simulation results show that both of them can solve to competitive solutions in a short time. Investigation of shunt solar cells’ currents based on equivalent circuit model

In view of the universality of the parallel connection of solar cells and their mismatch problem, in the present paper, we select two shunt solar cells (connected in parallel) as our research object, and use the equivalent one-diode circuit of the solar cell and the analysis of the two-body model. At first, the equations of current and voltage are deduced from the related electrical laws and the circuit diagram of the two solar cells connected in parallel. Then, according to the experimentally measured data of typical single-crystalline silicon solar cells (125 mm×125 mm), we select the appropriate simulation parameters. Following this, by using the photo-generated current, the shunt resistance, and the serial resistance of one of the shunt solar cells and the load resistance as independent variables, in turn, the changing characteristics of each branch current in the two shunt solar cells are numerically discussed and analyzed for these four cases for the first time. At the same time, we provide a simple physical explanation for the modeling results. Our analyses show that these parameters have different impacts on the internal currents of solar cells connected in parallel. These results provide a reference to solve the problem of connecting solar cells and to develop higher efficiency solar cells and systems. Meanwhile, the results will contribute to a better comprehension of the reasons for efficiency loss of solar cells and systems, and deepen the understanding of the electrical of solar cells behavior for high performance photovoltaic applications.

Light trapping characteristics of glass substrate with hemisphere pit arrays in thin film Si solar cells

In this paper, the light trapping characteristics of glass substrate with hemisphere pit （HP） arrays in thin film Si solar cells are theoretically studied via a numerical approach. It is found that the HP glass substrate has good antireflection properties. Its surface reflectance can be reduced by - 50% compared with planar glass. The HP arrays can make the unabsorbed light return to the absorbing layer of solar cells, and the ratio of second absorption approximately equals 30%. Thus, the glass substrate with the hemisphere pit arrays （HP glass） can effectively reduce the total reflectivity of a solar celt from 20% to 13%. The lip glass can also prolong the optical path length. The numerical results show that the total optical path length of the thin film Si solar cell covered with the HP glass increases from 2ω to 409. These results are basically consistent with the experimental results.

Absorption enhancement in thin film a-Si solar cells with double-sided SiO_2 particle layers

Light absorption enhancement is very important for improving the power conversion efficiency of a thin film a-Si solar cell. In this paper, a thin-film a-Si solar cell model with double-sided SiO2 particle layers is designed, and then the underlying mechanism of absorption enhancement is investigated by finite difference time domain（FDTD） simulation;finally the feasible experimental scheme for preparing the SiO2 particle layer is discussed. It is found that the top and bottom SiO2 particle layers play an important role in anti-reflection and light trapping, respectively. The light absorption of the cell with double-sided SiO2 layers greatly increases in a wavelength range of 300 nm-800 nm, and the ultimate efficiency increases more than 22% compared with that of the flat device. The cell model with double-sided SiO2 particle layers reported here can be used in varieties of thin film solar cells to further improve their performances.
