The ever-growing complexity of IoT networks ignited by their wide scale adoption in applications such as smart cities, the industrial automation, and health care, compelled to develop sophisticated yet resource efficient and scalable network management solution. Centralized systems are traditional in architecture, which leads to higher latency and bottlenecks, while decentralized systems can distribute workloads however the lack of adaptability to real time, along with the difficulty of extracting maximum resource usage, are limitations. In recent years, reinforcement learning (RL) based approaches have taken shape as a promising alternative to facilitate the automated learning and optimisation of task management. However, there are two challenges for existing RL based methods: slow convergence, inefficient priority assignment of tasks, and poor coordination amongst agents in the case of dynamic, large scale IoT environment. To solve these challenges, in this research we propose a distributed reinforcement learning based multi agent framework for managing IoT network. The framework also integrates a task prioritization mechanism to dynamically choose an optimal task allocation solution. Further validation was performed in a simulated IoT environment where real world inspired datasets were used. The proposed framework demonstrated 30% more task throughput than centralized, 25% less latency than decentralized, and 40% more energy efficiency than current RL based systems. The system was further validated using advanced visualizations such as anomaly detection maps and resource allocation efficiency graphs, demonstrating its capacity to manage dynamic load of tasks and resource allocation. The proposed framework addresses the critical limitations of current methods, through scalable, adaptive, and energy efficient framework for managing IoT network, and accordingly helps advancing the intelligent and autonomous IoT systems.

Finding and eliminating unwanted nodes is a foremost challenge in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This paper proposes an Autoregressive Diffusion Network (ADN) to find and categorize the nodes in the network as affected or trustworthy. Here, the proposed ADN provides a strong foundation for finding uncommon or insecure actions by effectively recording the characteristics of the sensor over a period of time. Thus, using the capability to capture successive data. In addition, an improved routing mechanism is developed using the Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocols. Then, the Pelican Optimisation Algorithm (POA) is used to optimize the cluster heads optimally. To further improve the routing mechanism using fitness proportional selection technique to transfer the data safely and effectively. Simulation results show that the proposed technique enhances the performance by reducing energy consumption and increasing the detection accuracy of affected nodes. The proposed LEACH + POA + ADN model shows the improved detection accuracy of 77%, false positive rate of 7.50%, average energy consumption of 8.02 J, network lifetime of 92.94 rounds, and packet delivery ratio of 92.97%, which is high compared to other benchmark models.

Understanding the needs of genomic data visualization techniques is important to help bioinformaticians to perform their comparative analytical tasks effectively. DNA sequencing datasets consist of a long sequential string of nucleotide base pairs combination and are often involved in multiple sequences alignment for comparative analysis. Therefore, existing challenges include designing suitable visualization layout and the need of user-centered approach to ensure optimal user experience. Existing works also featured heavily on the qualitative evaluation of comparative visualization tools, such as use cases and case studies, which are difficult to quantify and conduct follow up evaluation for tool improvement. Hence, this paper aims to understand the needs of visualization tools in comparative genomic analysis to identify visualization tasks and visual design requirements. The methodology includes the creation of semi-structured interview based on personas template as guiding questions and the synthesis of thematic analysis results. These results presented the requirements of the visualization tasks for the biodiversity domain based on comparative targets. For future work, this research will design, develop, and validate the comparative visualization tool based on the discovered requirements. ©2024 IEEE.

The study presented here consists of an entire framework for prediction of consumers behavior through the machine training of supervised learning methods. The strategy involves the following: data collection, preprocessing, exploration, feature selection, model selection, training, evaluation, interpretation and deployment. The systematic process is tailored to clear the pathway for combining data about customer taste, sophisticated habits, and purchasing trends. Primary components include data preprocessing, training of machine learning models, feature selection, and ethical issues regarding data privacy and transparency. The outcomes of the implementation are a high accuracy in consumers clustering, efficient classification of customers' behavior, as well as unveiling a bunch of crucial predictors that affect the customers mood and behavior. As a result, the report stresses the necessity of integrated monitoring and redirection strategies to realize the potential of the created models. The idea of predictive analysis as an evolving tool that enables marketers to tailor their campaigns more closely, and improve the overall customer experience therefore also receives attention. The proposed system methodology constitutes a solid process framework for business defined to aim at using predictive analytics to gain competitive edge in the current dynamic marketplace.

This study examines the implementation and impact of Cloud-Enhanced Machine Learning Models in the realm of Predictive Maintenance within Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) settings. Emphasizing the integration of cloud computing with machine learning, the research focuses on how this synergy improves the accuracy and efficiency of maintenance predictions in industrial environments. Key metrics evaluated include prediction accuracy, operational efficiency, cost savings, and reduction in equipment downtime. The study demonstrates a significant increase in prediction accuracy, from 65% to 88%, attributed to the advanced data processing and analytical capabilities of cloud-enhanced machine learning. Operational efficiency saw marked improvements, with a 50% reduction in response times and a 25% increase in maintenance scheduling efficiency, leading to a 20% rise in asset utilization rates. Financially, the implementation led to a 37% reduction in annual maintenance costs and a 40% decrease in both the cost per downtime incident and long-term repair expenses. Most notably, the study recorded a 62.5% reduction in both the duration and frequency of downtime incidents. These results highlight the transformative potential of integrating cloud computing and machine learning in IIoT for predictive maintenance, showcasing significant advancements in predictive accuracy, operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall reduction in downtime. The study underscores the critical role of technological innovation in advancing industrial maintenance strategies, leading to more proactive, efficient, and economically viable operations.

Modern audio processing requires compression and restoration for streaming services and data storage and transmission. This study examines how deep learning can address these difficulties and includes an architecture flow diagram. The suggested complex design has numerous integral stages optimized for audio compression and restoration. The input layer contains raw audio data. The pre-processing module normalizes and extracts features from raw data, frequently using Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) to capture audio characteristics. This module improves data quality by reducing noise and filtering. The architecture's heart is the compression module, where deep learning is used. This module compresses audio data using neural networks, maybe CNNs or RNNs. This compression is quantified by compression ratio and bitrate, with hypothetical values representing audio quality trade-offs. The compression module compacts audio data for storage or transmission. To minimize data size, quantization and encoding are common here. To accurately decompress audio, the decompression module mimics the compression module's architecture. Depending on needs, error correction or quality enhancement layers may be added. Filtering, equalization, and dynamic range compression may be used in the post-processing module to improve audio quality. If needed, a restoration module uses deep learning models to minimize noise and artifacts. This study presents four hypothetical scenarios to demonstrate different results. The scenarios emphasize high compression, balanced approaches, quality prioritization, and low resource utilization. Deep learning approaches can adapt to varied audio processing needs by balancing compression ratio, bitrate, audio quality (measured by PSNR), and restoration accuracy in each case.

Mobile Cloud computing (MCC) is provided in various industries to acquire cloud-based services by using mobile technology. MCC is employed to minimize mobile device limitations by enabling them to offload computations to remote cloud. It contains significant information about organizations; hence, to avoid this environment from attacks a security solution is required. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a solution to these security problems. The Bat Optimization Algorithm-based Support Vector Machine (BOA-SVM) is developed for IDS by utilizing machine learning in MCC in this research. Firstly, data is acquired by UNSW-NB15 dataset and then min-max normalization is established for normalizing acquired data. GWO is employed for Feature Selection (FS) that determines relevant features for classification. At last, SVM is established to classify IDS effectively and accurately. BOA-SVM attains a better accuracy of 99.78% compared to existing techniques such as Edge-based Hybrid Intrusion Detection Framework (EHIDF), Information Gain-Chi-Square-Particle Swarm Optimization (IG-CS-PSO), and improved Self-adaptive Evolutionary Extreme Learning Machine (SaE-ELM) respectively.

Although remote learning is widely used for delivering and capturing knowledge, it has limitations in teaching hands-on skills that require nuanced instructions and demonstrations of precise actions, such as massage. Furthermore, scheduling conflicts between instructors and learners often limit the availability of real-time feedback, reducing learning efficiency. To address these challenges, we developed a synthesis tool utilizing an LLM-powered Virtual Teaching Assistant (VTA). This tool integrates multimodal instructions that convey precise data, such as stroke patterns and pressure control, while providing real-time feedback for learners and summarizing their performance for instructors. Our case study with instructors and learners demonstrated the effectiveness of these multimodal instructions and the VTA in enhancing massage teaching and learning. We then discuss the tools' use in other hands-on skills instruction and cognitive process differences in various courses. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). This paper proposes a new Helmholtz decomposition based windowed Green function (HD-WGF) method for solving the time-harmonic elastic scattering problems on a half-space with Dirichlet boundary conditions in both 2D and 3D. The Helmholtz decomposition is applied to separate the pressure and shear waves, which satisfy the Helmholtz and Helmholtz/Maxwell equations, respectively, and the corresponding boundary integral equations of type (I + T) = f, that couple these two waves on the unbounded surface, are derived based on the free-space fundamental solution of Helmholtz equation. This approach avoids the treatment of the complex elastic displacement tensor and traction operator that involved in the classical integral equation method for elastic problems. Then a smooth "slow-rise" windowing function is introduced to truncate the boundary integral equations and a "correction" strategy is proposed to ensure the uniformly fast convergence for all incident angles of plane incidence. Numerical experiments for both two and three dimensional problems are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
