Structural defects are abundant in solids,and vital to the macroscopic materials ***,a defect-property linkage typically requires significant efforts from experiments or simulations,and often contains limited information due to the breadth of nanoscopic design *** we report a graph neural network(GNN)-based approach to achieve direct translation between mesoscale crystalline structures and atom-level properties,emphasizing the effects of structural *** end-to-end method offers great performance and generality in predicting both atomic stress and potential energy of multiple systems with different ***,the approach also precisely captures derivative properties which strictly observe physical laws and reproduces evolution of properties with varying boundary *** incorporating a genetic algorithm,we then design de novo atomic structures with optimum global properties and target local *** method would significantly enhance the efficiency of evaluating atomic behaviors given structural imperfections and accelerates the design process at the meso-level.

Lung diseases, encompassing a wide spectrum from chronic conditions to acute infections, present a significant burden on global healthcare systems, necessitating precise and timely diagnostic methodologies. In this study, we propose a pioneering approach leveraging multimodal data fusion and deep learning Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithms for enhanced identification of lung diseases. Our methodology integrates diverse data sources including medical images, clinical reports, and patient demographics to capture a comprehensive representation of lung pathology. We employ a state-of-the-art CNN architecture for medical image analysis, trained on a large-scale dataset encompassing various lung diseases and healthy lung tissue. Through extensive experimentation and validation, the approach achieved remarkable performance, with an accuracy of 94%, sensitivity of 92%, specificity of 93%, and an F1-score of 93% in accurately identifying and classifying lung abnormalities. Furthermore, we demonstrate the clinical utility of our method in providing valuable insights to healthcare professionals, aiding in timely diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning. Our findings highlight the potential of multimodal data fusion coupled with deep learning CNN algorithms in advancing the field of lung disease identification, offering a promising avenue for improving healthcare practices and patient outcomes in respiratory medicine. © 2024 IEEE.

With broad applicability in surveillance, delivery, and environmental monitoring, multi-drone path planning has received a great deal of attention recently. So far, wide applicability has been explored by various applications of Genetic Algorithms, Particle Swarm Optimization, and Ant Colony Optimization, which have already established reliable solutions to navigation and coverage through drone path optimization. However, in dynamic, obstacle-dense environments, these algorithms fail to adapt in real-time with energy efficiency. Traditional GA and PSO approaches can be effective for generating an initial path but fail to respond to collision avoidance and efficient resource management. In complex and unpredictable conditions, ACO fails to converge rapidly, which leads to suboptimal paths and increased energy consumption. To overcome such barriers, we present here an HGARL for enhanced multi-drone path optimization. The proposed algorithm thus combines the population-based search capability of GA with RL's adaptive learning ability, therefore providing an algorithm that in addition to finding optimal paths adjusts the paths according to changing environmental situations. HGARL presents better performance compared to existing methods. In path convergence, it reaches up to 15%, and in energy consumption, it reduces up to 20% with safe collision-free navigation. The strong potential of HGARL for robust, efficient, and adaptive solutions of real-time multi-drone operation in complex and dynamic environments has set a new benchmark for UAV path planning. © 2024 IEEE.

An exciting new direction in plant categorization and identification is the use of machine learning techniques for medicinal plant detection. Using a variety of photo datasets containing medicinal plants, this technique trains models using ANNs. The ML model learns the complex traits that distinguish various plant species by using data from pre-trained models or by developing bespoke architectures. Thanks to the trained model’s precision in visually recognizing therapeutic plants, everyone from researchers to ecologists can reap the benefits. Methods for medicinal plant identification that are both accurate and objective are crucial to biodiversity research and attempts to safeguard resources. Considerations of ethics, model calibration, and data curation should be incorporated into the construction of such systems. Gather any and all images of plants used for medical purposes. Recent empirical success has led to a rise in popularity of the options framework for Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning (HRL). This framework tackles the scalability problem in Reinforcement Learning (RL) by introducing a layer of abstraction (i.e. high-level options) over the (low-level) decision process. Hierarchical Imitation Learning (HIL) is the problem of learning low-level and high-level policies within HRL from expert demonstrations consisting only of the low-level actions and states, with the high-level options being hidden (or latent). Due to the latent options, recent work on HIL has focused on the development of Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithms inspired by approaches such as the celebrated Baum-Welch algorithm for hidden Markov models (HMMs). In this work, we take a different approach and derive a new HIL framework inspired by the spectral method of moments for HMMs. The method of moments offers global and consistent convergence under mild regulatory conditions, whilst only requiring one sweep through the data set of state and action pairs, giving it a competitive run time.

The COVID-19 outbreak has significantly disrupted the agricultural system in India. In spite of this, the most recent quarterly GDP forecasts post-COVID scenario demonstrate the tenacity and durability of the Indian agricultural sector, which is anticipated to be the only sector to record a positive growth rate of 4% for fiscal years (FY) 2020 and 2021. Similarly, growth for the most recent quarter is projected to have been 5.89%, representing a reduction of 2.4% point. In this context, our goal is to compile a summary of the early evidence on the impact of COVID-19 on the agricultural sector in India, including production, marketing, and consumption, and then to design a set of pragmatic strategies to recover and thrive after the pandemic. According to the survey’s findings, the pandemic has disrupted production and marketing through labour and logistical restrictions, while the negative income shock has restricted access to markets and increased food commodity prices, altering consumption patterns. The pandemic caused great emotional, social, economic, and bodily harm to everyone involved in India’s agriculture industry. The state has responded to the crisis by seizing the opportunity it presents and launching a variety of programmes and necessary changes. We suggest a ten-point plan that includes social safety nets, family farming, the trading of buffer stock, staggered procurement, and secondary agriculture in order to revitalise and prosper after the epidemic. © 2024, CRC Press/Balkema. Breast tumor grows rapidly have an elevated risk of progressing to a metastatic state, leading to the spread of tumor tissues to other regions of the body. Early detection of such metastatic sites can be facilitated by predicting these tumors' growth rate. In this context, we introduce a novel Morpho-Contour Exponential Estimation (MoCEE) method to estimate the potential growth rate of identified breast tumors using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) datasets. This methodology not only effectively captures morphological traces but also pinpoints regions indicative of infectious spread. This precision is achieved by enhancing the Mask R-CNN with an active contour function, ensuring the accurate segmentation of the breast tumor. Once segmented, the tumor's growth rate is computed using the exponential growth model, which accurately determines the rate by analyzing the distance between two distinct random points on the tumor's segmented region. Subsequently, this derived information, processed through a gradient boosting approach, predicts the likelihood of tumor growth across two different breast tumor categories. In our study, we assessed the proposed MoCEE method from two crucial angles. Firstly, we rigorously evaluated its ability to accurately segment both benign and malignant breast tumors. Our analysis involved comparing MoCEE's performance to that of various deep learning networks, yielding impressive segmentation accuracy percentages, such as 93.12% and 92.22% for benign and malignant tumors in BUSnet, and even higher values for other networks. Secondly, we explored MoCEE's capability to estimate tumor size, considering different probability growth rates (k^=0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5). Notably, proposed MoCEE proved highly accurate in predicting tumor growth rates across this range of probabilities. These findings highlight MoCEE's versatility and robustness, making it a valuable tool for precise breast tumor analysis and prediction. © The Author(s), under exclusiv

One of the most critical concerns that must be addressed worldwide is early breast cancer diagnosis because it can help the patients with a higher survival rate. Early detection of breast cancer can significantly lower treatment expenses;mammograms have been used to identify the disease. To plan treatments, segmentation assists doctors in measuring the amount of tissue in the breast. This work uses a U-Net model combining spatial attention and fused channel modules. The U-Net CASAM module is trained with the CBIS-DDSM dataset. Facial recognition technology has become increasingly prevalent in today's world, with applications ranging from mobile phones to banking and workplace security. This research proposes a facial recognition-based solution to replace the manual attendance tracking process, streamlining the process and reducing human error. The proposed system integrates facial recognition, registration forms, and a Redis database to automate attendance tracking. By leveraging the ML search algorithm (similarity approach) and the Insight face Python module, the system can accurately identify individuals within a database. The system's implementation involves two phases: the initial phase focuses on integrating facial recognition, registration forms, and database access. The second phase involves utilizing software such as Streamlit and Dashboard to enhance user experience and visualization. This innovative solution offers a more efficient and accurate alternative to traditional manual attendance tracking methods, improving overall efficiency and reducing administrative burdens.
