Cardiovascular disease(CVD)remains a leading global health challenge due to its high mortality rate and the complexity of early diagnosis,driven by risk factors such as hypertension,high cholesterol,and irregular pulse *** diagnostic methods often struggle with the nuanced interplay of these risk factors,making early detection *** this research,we propose a novel artificial intelligence-enabled(AI-enabled)framework for CVD risk prediction that integrates machine learning(ML)with eXplainable AI(XAI)to provide both high-accuracy predictions and transparent,interpretable *** to existing studies that typically focus on either optimizing ML performance or using XAI separately for local or global explanations,our approach uniquely combines both local and global interpretability using Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Explanations(LIME)and SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP).This dual integration enhances the interpretability of the model and facilitates clinicians to comprehensively understand not just what the model predicts but also why those predictions are made by identifying the contribution of different risk factors,which is crucial for transparent and informed decision-making in *** framework uses ML techniques such as K-nearest neighbors(KNN),gradient boosting,random forest,and decision tree,trained on a cardiovascular ***,the integration of LIME and SHAP provides patient-specific insights alongside global trends,ensuring that clinicians receive comprehensive and actionable *** experimental results achieve 98%accuracy with the Random Forest model,with precision,recall,and F1-scores of 97%,98%,and 98%,*** innovative combination of SHAP and LIME sets a new benchmark in CVD prediction by integrating advanced ML accuracy with robust interpretability,fills a critical gap in existing *** framework paves the way for more explainable and transparent decision-making in he

This study presents a detailed survey on the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) for predictive maintenance and monitoring of cultural heritage, focusing on museums and exhibitions. The integration of IoT in these fields offers significant potential for optimizing maintenance and supervision of heritage resources while also enhancing maintenance strategies. This review examines the application of IoT devices, data analysis, and predictive algorithms in monitoring the state of heritage resources to improve tourist experiences and conserve cultural resources. Key enabling technologies can enable adaptive interactions and engagement with enhanced navigation. Visualization technologies are also common, offering hands-on displays. The study also emphasizes the value of accessibility and interactivity, providing personalization and content sharing features. Several initiatives prioritize the delivery of digital content through mobile applications, internet browsers, and downloadable *** study examines how IoT-enabled predictive maintenance systems can recognize potential hazards, like resource decay or environmental dangers, enabling immediate action. PIDSNeRF: pose interpolation depth supervision neural radiance fields for view synthesis from challenging input

Recently, Neural Radiance Fields(NeRF) have shown remarkable performance in the task of novel view synthesis through multi-view. The present study introduces an advanced optimization framework, termed Pose Interpolation Depth Supervision Neural Radiance Fields (PIDSNeRF), designed to address the challenges encountered by NeRF in novel view synthesis. These challenges manifest as artifacts, texture details loss, and geometric inconsistencies, particularly in scenes characterized by different lighting conditions, Textureless regions, and sparse images as inputs. The principle of PIDSNeRF involves interpolating virtual camera positions in the 3D space domain based on known cameras, Subsequently, the sparse point clouds formed during camera pose estimation is re-projected onto these virtual poses, employing an inverse angle weighting strategy, thereby generating depth-supervised rays. Furthermore, we propose a depth diffusion method that spreads depth-supervised rays along the pixel plane, forming Gaussian functions with different variances based on the diffusion distances. Finally, depth supervision during volume rendering is achieved by optimizing the Kullback-Leibler(KL) divergence between the weight distribution of sampled points along each ray and the probability density function of the corresponding Gaussian function along that ray. The above process enables a more comprehensive optimization of multi-resolution grid features that align with the sampled points along the rays. The experiments on the DTU, LLFF, and DL3DV-10K datasets demonstrate, PIDSNeRF can synthesize complete novel views within minutes, and the various metrics of the synthesized images achieve the best performance. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

In IEC-61850-based digital substations, the protection IED’s performance is dependent on merging unit’s vendor implementation, communication networks, and measurement circuit’s health conditions. As the process bus Sampled Value(SV) enables the availability of all sensor data on a communication network, this paper proposes a Backup Subscription scheme (BSS) for a transformer differential protection (87T, PDIF) function. BSS utilizes sensor data in digital substations to achieve a flexible protection scheme using a dynamic subscription feature. Thus, in case of failure of one sensor, differential protection would be maintained. The paper presents the implementation and verification of a prototyped scheme using a Hardware-in-the-loop simulation test bed. The main result is that BSS integration into differential protection ensures its dependability and security. Moreover, delay compensation and seamless switching feature increases the availability of differential protection. © The Author(s) 2024.

With the development of technology, the automobile has become an indispensable part of people’s daily lives. People’s needs for automobile entry systems have also changed, in automobile safety and ease of use have become more and more important. In recent years, face recognition technology has made significant progress, and face recognition technology has been widely used in various fields, especially face recognition based on deep learning has great advantages in accuracy, recognition speed, and security, and can provide a more secure and reliable way of identity verification. Traditional automobile entry systems usually use mechanical keys and remote control keys, which do not remove the key and have certain shortcomings in security and user experience. Face recognition-based car entry systems can make up for these shortcomings and provide a more convenient and intuitive user experience. Combining face recognition with automobiles is also a hot topic in current scientific research. In this paper, a set of automobile entry systems with high efficiency and security is designed according to the face recognition method research, using three deep learning models: face detection, live body detection, and face recognition. In face detection, the RetinaFace lightweight model is used the network structure is improved, and the detection speed is increased by 14.9%. For face live detection and face recognition, the MobileFaceNet lightweight network is used as the base network for live detection and face recognition, achieving a 98.9% accuracy rate on the CelebA Spoof live detection dataset. In face recognition, feature extraction is performed on the detected faces after face detection, and the recognition results are output by comparing with the recorded faces. Improvements to its network improved the recognition accuracy by 0.18%, 0.77%, and 0.73% on the LFW, CFP FP, and AgeDB30 datasets, respectively. Soldering irons are a hand tool that is indispensable in the process of making small series of electronic devices. Soldering irons have evolved from very simple devices without temperature control to devices with complex temperature control. The implementation of temperature control is based on the knowledge of the thermal models of the soldering iron. Thermal models of soldering irons are based either on the theory of thermal fields or on the theory of equivalent Kirchhoff thermal circuits. The theory of thermal fields is applied for very accurate modeling. In doing so, the finite element method (FEM) is used. For the above, it is necessary to use software packages based on FEM. Unlike FEM-based modeling, thermal circuit modeling does not require specialized software tools. It is also possible to derive analytical expressions that describe the thermal process of the soldering iron. In this paper, a thermal model of a soldering iron based on equivalent Kirchhoff thermal circuits is presented. Analytical expressions were derived to describe the thermal transient. The validity of the theoretical model is supported by measurement. Measurements were carried out on two soldering irons from different manufacturers. The invention of Phasor Measurement Units(PMUs)produce synchronized phasor measurements with high resolution real time monitoring and control of power system in smart grids that make *** are used in transmitting data to Phasor Data Concentrators(PDC)placed in control centers for monitoring purpose.A primary concern of system operators in control centers is maintaining safe and efficient operation of the power *** can be achieved by continuous monitoring of the PMU data that contains both normal and abnormal *** normal data indicates the normal behavior of the grid whereas the abnormal data indicates fault or abnormal conditions in power *** a result,detecting anomalies/abnormal conditions in the fast flowing PMU data that reflects the status of the power system is critical.A novel methodology for detecting and categorizing abnormalities in streaming PMU data is presented in this *** proposed method consists of three modules namely,offline Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM),online GMM for identifying anomalies and clustering ensemble model for classifying the *** significant features of the proposed method are detecting anomalies while taking into account of multivariate nature of the PMU dataset,adapting to concept drift in the flowing PMU data without retraining the existing model unnecessarily and classifying the *** proposed model is implemented in Python and the testing results prove that the proposed model is well suited for detection and classification of anomalies on the fly.

For traffic incident detection, the acquisition of data and labels is notably resource-intensive, rendering semi-supervised traffic incident detection both a formidable and consequential challenge. Thus, this paper focuses on traffic incident detection with a semi-supervised learning way. It proposes a semi-supervised learning model named FPMT within the framework of MixText. The data augmentation module introduces Generative Adversarial Networks to balance and expand the dataset. During the mix-up process in the hidden space, it employs a probabilistic pseudo-mixing mechanism to enhance regularization and elevate model precision. In terms of training strategy, it initiates with unsupervised training on all data, followed by supervised fine-tuning on a subset of labeled data, and ultimately completing the goal of semi-supervised training. Through empirical validation on four authentic datasets, our FPMT model exhibits outstanding performance across various metrics. Particularly noteworthy is its robust performance even in scenarios with low label rates. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

This paper presents a method to control the out-ofband performance of absorptive filters in both narrowband and wideband cases. To verify the method, a narrowband absorptive filter is designed with wideband matching, and a wideband one is proposed to achieve an infinite low-reflection range. Finally, the narrowband filter is implemented in microstrip-line platform, not only attaining symmetrical geometry but also improving impedance-matching performance. © 2024 IEEE.
