Behaviour detection models based on automata have been studied widely. By add- ing edge ε, the local automata are combined into global automata to describe and detect soft- ware behaviour. However, these methods in- troduce nondeterminacy, leading to models that are imprecise or inefficient. We present a model of software Behaviour Detection based on Process Algebra and system call (BDPA). In this model, a system call is mapped into an action, and a function is mapped into a process We construct a process expression for each function to describe its behaviour. Without con- strutting automata or introducing nondeter- minacy, we use algebraic properties and algo- rithms to obtain a global process expression by combining the process expressions derived from each function. Behaviour detection rules and methods based on BDPA are determined by equivalence theory. Experiments demon- strate that the BDPA model has better preci- sion and efficiency than traditional methods.

Aim: Spiking activities and neuronal network oscillations in the theta frequency range have been found in many cortical areas during information processing. The aim of this study is to determine whether nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) mediate neuronal network activity in rat medial septum diagonal band Broca (MSDB) slices. Methods: Extracellular field potentials were recorded in the slices using an Axoprobe 1A amplifier. Data analysis was performed off- line. Spike sorting and local field potential (LFP) analyses were performed using Spike2 software. The role of spiking activity in the generation of LFP oscillations in the slices was determined by analyzing the phase-time relationship between the spikes and LFP oscil- lations. Circular statistic analysis based on the Rayleigh test was used to determine the significance of phase relationships between the spikes and LFP oscillations. The timing relationship was examined by quantifying the spike-field coherence (SFC), Results: Application of nicotine (250 nmol/L) induced prominent LFP oscillations in the theta frequency band and both small- and large-amplitude population spiking activity in the slices. These spikes were phase-locked to theta oscillations at specific phases. The Rayleigh test showed a statistically significant relationship in phase-locking between the spikes and theta oscillations. Larger changes in the SFC were observed for large-amplitude spikes, indicating an accurate timing relationship between this type of spike and LFP oscillations, The nicotine-induced spiking activity (large-amplitude population spikes) was suppressed by the nAChR antagonist dihydro-~-erythroidine (0.3 pmol/L). Conclusion: The results demonstrate that large-amplitude spikes are phase-locked to theta oscillations and have a high spike-timing accuracy, which are likely a main contributor to the theta oscillations generated in MSDB during nicotine receptor activation.

To solve the problems such as unreal effects, incomplete details in the rain scene, an algorithm to simulate water surface after rain hitting by combining Meatball with mass-spring water surface was presented. First, the raindrops model was estabished with particle system combining textures, and the water surface model was established with the mass-spring model. Secondly, the algorithm animated half globular bubbles after rain hitting with Meatball. Thirdly, water splash was simulated by means of the particle system and a gradual thinning and syncretizing technique. Finally, with the help of Cg language, the reflection and the refraction effect on the water surface, globular bubbles and water splash were simulated. The experiment shows that this approach can be used to simulate rain scenes efficiently and realistically.

Aiming at the difficulty of achieving interactive simulation between soft tissue and suture, a method to simulate suturing procedure in virtual surgery was proposed. Firstly, mass-spring model was used as the physical model for soft tissue. In order to perform the relative motion between two masses of soft tissue realistically, an internal friction coefficient was introduced first. Secondly, the interaction of suture and soft tissue was aralyzed. A simple linear mass-spring model with following the leader algorithm was used to model the suture. A stress aralysis was carried out, when the suture touch the soft tissue, so the interaction process was close to physical reality. The movement of the whole suture computed by following the leader algorithm gave good performance in suture's rigidity characteristics. Finally, the interaction of the two deformable objects in a continuous pattern suture was considered, for each node of the soft tissue model, the node that attached to it was stored. This information can be used to compute the soft tissue deformation well. Experiment shows that it is realistical to simulate the soft tissue deformation and suture. meanwhile, the simulation is in real time.
