In the framework of instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation, according to the JPC of quarkonia, we find that their wave functions all contain multiple partial waves, rather than pure waves. In the radiative electromagnetic transitions χcJ→γψ and χbJ→γΥ (J = 0,1,2), the main wave of quarkonium gives the non-relativistic contribution, while other waves provide the relativistic corrections. Our results indicate that the relativistic effect of charmonium, especially highly excited states, is significant. Such as the relativistic effects of χcJ(2P) → γψ(1S) (J = 0,1,2) are {49.7%, 30.9%, 37.5%}, much larger than the corresponding {17.8%, 7.08%, 12.9%} of χbJ(2P) → γΥ(1S). The decay of χcJ(2P) → γψ can be used to distinguish between χc0(3860) and χc0(3915), which particle is the charmonium χc0(2P). Although our result of χc1(3872)→γψ(2S) is consistent with data, but the one of χc1(3872)→γψ(1S) is much larger than data, so whether χc1(3872) is the conventional χc1(2P) remains an open question. The undiscovered Υ(1D) and Υ(2D) have large production rates in decays of χb0(2P) → γΥ(1D) and χbJ(3P) → γΥ(2D) (J = 0,1), respectively. To search for χbJ(3P) (J = 0,1,2), the most competitive channels are the decays χbJ(3P) → γΥ(3S). And the best way to find χb2(1F) is to search for the decay of χb2(1F) → γΥ(1D). Strain Effects on the Structural Stability and Defect Properties of Γ-Cspbi3

Phase stability in ambient conditions seriously hinders inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells. Black-colored γ phase CsPbI3 exhibit a more stable structure upon long-term exposure to higher temperature environments. Here, the lattice structure and defect properties of γ-CsPbI3 under biaxial strains on the (100), (010) and (001) planes were investigated by first principles method. The results show that the tensile strain effectively reduces the PbI6 octahedral tilt to maintain the structural stability, and improves the defect formation energies of VI, VPb, VCs and ICs. The compressive strain hinders the diffusion of VI along the octahedral path and makes the defect level of VI shallower. The biaxial strain on the (001) plane is favorable for preserving the black phase structure and defect properties, whereas that on the (100) or (010) plane is beneficial for modulating these properties. The present work provides a theoretical guidance for preparing stable and efficient γ-CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells using the strain strategy. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Production of Ds0(2590)+ in B nonleptonic decays

In 2021, a new charm-strange meson, Ds0(2590)+, has been discovered, it is believed to be the (formula presented). However, its low mass and wide width are challenged by theoretical results. Given the small branching ratio of the current production channel, resulting in a small number of events and large errors. We suggest to search for the Ds0(2590)+ in the B meson nonleptonic decays, Bq → Dq(∗)Ds0(2590)+ (q = u,d), followed by Ds0(2590)+ → D∗K. We find Br(Bq → Dq(∗)Ds0(2590)+)× Br(Ds0(2590)+ → D∗K) = (2.16 ∼ 2.82) × 10−3 is very large, and the result is not sensitive to the mass of Ds0(2590)+. Due to large branching ratio, large amount of Ds0(2590)+ events are expected. This study is based on the framework of instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation, and the used relativistic wave functions for mesons contain different partial waves. Phase diagrams of neutron-proton superfluid in asymmetric nuclear matter

The finite-temperature phase structures for neutron-proton superfluidity in asymmetric nuclear matter are investigated, with a particular focus on the angular dependence of the pairing gap induced by the 3SD1 NN interaction. This angular dependence of the pairing gap results in the Cooper pair momentum in the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) state exhibiting exactly two distinct stable orientations: one orthogonal (FFLO-ADG-O) and the other parallel (FFLO-ADG-P) to the symmetry axis of the pairing gap. The FFLO-ADG-O state dominates at low asymmetries, while the FFLO-ADG-P state prevails at high asymmetries. Additionally, these analysis of normal-superfluid phase separation reveals that the angular dependence of the pairing gap eliminates phase separation in the low-asymmetry regime, whereas the Cooper pair momentum effectively suppresses phase separation at high asymmetries. These two mechanisms act in concert to significantly prevent the occurrence of normal-superfluid phase separation across the entire phase diagram, ensuring the stability of the homogeneous superfluid state over a broad range of asymmetries. These results provide new insights into the interplay between the angular dependence of the pairing gap and the stability of superfluidity in asymmetric nuclear matter. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Lepton flavor violating decays Z → li±lj in the B-L Supersymmetric Standard Model

Lepton flavor violation (LFV) represents a clear new physics (NP) signal beyond the standard model (SM). In this paper, we study LFV decays Z → li±lj in the B-L Supersymmetric Standard Model(B-LSSM). We calculate these processes separately in the mass eigenstate basis and the electroweak interaction basis, and the latter adopt the mass insertion approximation (MIA) method. The MIA clearly shows the effect of parameters on the LFV decays Z → li±lj in the analytic level, which provides a new way for us to analyze the LFV processes. At the same time, the corresponding constraints from the LFV decays lj− → li−γ and (g − 2)µ are considered to analyze the numerical results. © 2024, CC BY.

The Optical Properties of Few-Layer Mos2 by Dft Calculations

In this work, the electric and optical properties of few layer MoS2 were systematically investigated theoretically and experimentally, especially monolayer and bilayer. Firstly, the effects of different pseudopotentials on the calculation results of MoS2 have been investigated. It indicates that the normal-conserving pseudopotential is suitable for accurate calculations of the electronic properties. Then, for deep understanding of the photoluminescence mechanism of MoS2, the electronic structure and optical properties of MoS2 were calculated by first-principles calculations with normal-conserving pseudopotential. The density of states of bilayer MoS2 at the Fermi level was higher than that of monolayer MoS2, indicating that bilayer MoS2 has a larger carrier density. Comparing the optical properties of monolayer and bilayer MoS2, it can be concluded that along the C-axis direction, bilayer MoS2 exhibits higher absorption in the wavelength range of 496-1240 nm, while the monolayer one has a remarkable absorption below 496 nm. These findings indicate that bilayer MoS2 preferentially absorbs visible and near-infrared light, while monolayer MoS2 tends to absorb ultraviolet light. These explained the different absorption characteristics of monolayer and bilayer MoS2 and give guidance for selecting the thickness of MoS2 material in applications of optoelectronic devices. © 2023, The Authors. Electromagnetic decays of X(3823) as the ψ2(1D32) state and its radial excited states

We study the electromagnetic (EM) decays of X(3823) as the ψ2(1D32) state by using the relativistic Bethe-Salpeter method. Our results are Γ[X(3823)→χc0γ]=1.2 keV, Γ[X(3823)→χc1γ]=265 keV, Γ[X(3823)→χc2γ]=57 keV, and Γ[X(3823)→ηcγ]=1.3 keV. The ratio B[X(3823)→χc2γ]/B[X(3823)→χc1γ]=0.22, agrees with the experimental data. Similarly, the EM decay widths of ψ2(n3D2), n=2, 3, are predicted, and we find the dominant decays channels are ψ2(nD32)→χc1(nP)γ, where n=1, 2, 3. The wave function include different partial waves, which means the relativistic effects are considered. We also study the contributions of different partial waves.

The U(1) extension of the supersymmetric standard model is the extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model, and its local gauge group is SU(3)C×SU(2)L×U(1)Y×U(1)X. We study lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays Z→li±lj∓ (Z→eμ, Z→eτ, and Z→μτ) and h→li±lj∓ (h→eμ, h→eτ, and h→μτ) in this model. In the numerical results, the branching ratios of Z→li±lj∓ are from 10−9 to 10−13, and the branching ratios of h→li±lj∓ are from 10−3 to 10−9, which can approach the present experimental upper bounds. Based on the latest experimental data, we analyze the influence of different sensitive parameters on the branching ratio and make reasonable predictions for future experiments. The main sensitive parameters and LFV sources are the nondiagonal elements corresponding to the initial and final generations of leptons, which can be seen from the numerical analysis.

Bs0→μ+μ− in a flavor violating extension of MSSM

B meson rare decays play a crucial role in exploring new physics beyond the standard model. In this study, we explore the rare decay process Bs0→μ+μ− in a flavor violating extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), namely, the μ-from-ν SSM (μνSSM). Combined with the decay B¯→Xsγ, the numerical results indicate that the μνSSM can successfully accommodate the experimental data for Bs0→μ+μ− and additionally narrow down the parameter space.

Nickel Single Atoms/Cerium Oxide Hybrid for Hydrogen Production Via Solar-Heating Catalytic Dehydrogenation of Methyl Cyclohexane

Methylcyclohexane (MCH)-toluene-hydrogen cycle can realize the recycling of matter and energy, owning a wide foreground in industrial application. The MCH dehydrogenation process is highly endothermic, and a heating temperature is needed to stimulate this reaction. The combination of thermal catalytic reactor and solar-to-heat system can realize solar-heating catalytic MCH dehydrogenation reaction. Whereas, such a highly desirable advanced system has not yet been reported. In this study, a hybrid of single-atom nickel anchored on cerium oxide nanosheets (Ni SA/CeO2 NS) has been constructed successfully. The hybrid exhibits remarkable thermal catalytic activity in MCH dehydrogenation, owning an H2 generation rate of 2756 mmol g-1 h-1 at 400 °C. The stepwise MCH dehydrogenation mechanism on the hybrid is investigated via density functional theory calculations. Moreover, we have developed a novel type of solar-to-heat equipment based on Ti2O3 thin film/Cu. Based on this device and the Ni SA/CeO2 NS hybrid, a solar-heating catalysis mode has been developed, with the H2 generation rates of 404 and 2604 mmol g-1 h-1 from MCH dehydrogenation under 1 and 2 kW m-2, respectively. This strategy provides the possibility to realize scalable MCH dehydrogenation under solar irradiation without secondary energy input. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.
