The stress corrosion behavior and immersion corrosion behavior of B+F dual phase X80 pipeline steel in simulated near-neutral and alkaline soil solutions were studied by slow strain rate tensile (SSRT) test, immersion corrosion test and polarization test. The results show that the strength and ductility of the samples in alkaline soil solution are weaker than those in near-neutral soil solution, and the elongation loss (Iδ) and area shrinkage loss (Iψ) are 2.81 and 2.76 times of those in near-neutral soil solution. B+F dual phase X80 pipeline steel is more sensitive to stress corrosion in alkaline soil solution than in near neutral soil solution. Protective property of passive film determines corrosion kinetics. In both soil solutions, the cracks are mainly transgranular. The results of polarization and immersion experiments are consistent. The linear corrosion rate in alkaline solution is higher than that in near-neutral solution in immersion test. The corrosion pit of the sample is concentrated in bainite area in near-neutral solution while weak part around inclusions is preferentially corroded and forms large corrosion holes in alkaline solution. Therefore B+F dual-phase X80 pipeline steel is easier to corrode in alkaline soil solution. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Effect of Acid-Producing Bacterium Citrobacter Farmeri on the Corrosion Behaviors of X70 Pipeline Steel in Simulated Seawater Culture Medium

Microbial corrosion causes significant harm to pipeline steel in seawater. In this paper, the effect of acid-producing bacterium Citrobacter farmeri on the corrosion behaviors of X70 steel in simulated seawater culture medium was investigated. Open circuit potentials (OCP), linear polarization resistances (LPR), and electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS), biofilm and pitting morphology observation results show that the presence of acid-producing bacterium C. farmeri accelerates the corrosion of X70 steel. The icorr in the C. farmeri medium is about 2.2 times that in sterile solution after 7 days of corrosion. The charge transfer resistance Rct of X70 steel in C. farmeri solution is much lower and the corrosion pits are numerous, which are concentrated at microbial enrichment sites and gather together to form a larger one. Oxygen differential concentration cell caused by the microbial film layer of transparent mucosa, complexation reactions and citric acid generated by C. farmeri accelerate local corrosion of the X70 steel, resulting in a relatively high corrosion rate. © 2024, The Authors. An experimental survey of waste tire gasification under nitrogen atmosphere has been conducted in a reactor,the gasification of tire were performed in a series of trials at different processing temperatures,in the range of 100–800 ℃,with the aim of studying the influence of the process temperature on the yield and the composition of the *** experimental results showed that thermal stability of waste tire is divided into 3 zone: ~ 200 ℃,200 ℃ to 300℃ and 300℃-800℃.A higher temperature results in a higher syngas production and a lower char yield,due to an enhancement of the solid–gas phase reactions with the *** N conditions,the oil contains more light oil.

Slow strain rate tensile corrosion (SSRT) of B+F X80 pipeline steel in simulated near-neutral and acidic soil solution were investigated. SSRT results show that the stress corrosion of B+F dual phase X80 pipeline steel in acidic soil solution is more sensitive. The loss of section shrinkage and elongation of B+F dual-phase X80 pipeline steel after SSRT in acidic soil solution was 1.49 and 2.62 times of those in near neutral soil solution. In acidic soil solution, the stress corrosion cracking mechanism of X80 pipeline steel is intergranular fracture induced by pitting under corrosion products. Crack nucleates at the bottom of corrosion pit and propagates along the weak path-grain boundary. In near neutral soil solution, the crack is originated from inclusions and propagated mainly transgranularly. Multi-pit connection forms propagation path and some cracks propagate at two stages. © 2022 SPIE

The effects of alloy composition and annealing time on microstructure and mechanical properties of Zr3Al-based alloys

ZrAl alloys with three different Al contents (6.0, 7.0, 8.0 wt-%) were melted by non-consumable electric-arc furnace. X-ray diffraction and metallographic analysis were used to study the microstructure and phase composition of ZrAl alloys, then rockwell hardness and tensile properties were tested. The results showed that Al significantly enhanced the hardness of pure Zr, and hardness of as-cast ZrAl alloys increased with the increase of Al content. Homogeneous microstructure of Zr3Al-based alloys could be obtained by annealing, and the annealing time must increase with the increase of Al content. With the increase of annealing time, grain size of Zr3Al-based alloys increased, tensile strength and elongation decreased. This implied that when ensuring complete peritectoid reaction conditions, we should minimise annealing time to avoid coarse grain for the purpose of obtaining Zr3Al-based alloys with excellent mechanical properties. In addition, annealing changed the fracture mode of ZrAl alloys from brittle to ductile. © W. S. Maney & Son Ltd 2015.

Aiming at the problems of cracking and wrinkling in the forming process of floor beam, the design of the drawing die is finished, and the finite element analysis software DYNAFORM is used to analyze the drawing process of the floor beam, and the effects of blank holder force and drawbead on the formed part are analyzed. With the maximum thinning rate and maximum thickening rate as the evaluation index, the optimized process parameters are that blank holder force is F=270 kN and drawbead is set to segmented drawbead. The results have important reference value for the forming application of floor beam.

Fe-Mn-C alloys with different carbon content were *** was found that carbon element effected the SFE of the Fe-Mn-C alloys seriously, SFE increases with increase of carbon ***-Mn-C alloys' deformation mechanisms, with SFE increase from 9.04 m J.m to 39.99 m J.m, turn transformation-induced plasticity（TRIP） effect into twinning-induced plasticity（TWIP） effect with carbon concentration increase from 0.16% to 0.98%.
