Triangular meshes provide an efficient representation of 3D shapes. Various applications such as 3D simulation suffer from degradation in geometric quality. This paper proposes a novel Multi-stream Structure-Enhanced Network (MSE-Net) based on graph convolutional networks. The network uses multi-scale features besides vertex position to guide face normal filtering, which can better preserve the geometric feature during the denoising process. In contrast to former methods that focus on filtering vertex coordinate and face normal apart, MSE-Net innovatively fuses more structure features like face area, inner product between face normal and vertex normals, and the interior angles of face to guide the face normal and vertex position updating, utilizing the inherent structural characteristic of Mesh. Our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on several publicly available datasets, demonstrating its effectiveness.

In recent years, Autonomous Moving Platforms (AMP) have gradually become an essential part of industry and life, including a variety of water, land and air mobile platforms. 5G networks provide AMP with low-latency and high-speed communication services which can promote the construction of smart cities. However, the mobility of smart-AMP affects the handover in 5G networks. With the intensive deployment of gNBs, unreasonable handover will increase the power con-sumption of AMP and reduce the quality of service (QoS) of AMP communications. Thus, we propose a 5G handover method based on AMP trajectory prediction in this paper. A CNN-STLSTM neural network which combines a convolutional neural network (CNN) and Spatioal-Timporallong short-term memory (ST- LSTM) is proposed to predict the trajectory of AMP. Then, the gNB is selected to handover through the AMP's trajectory points predicted by the prediction model. The evaluation results show that the proposed mechanism can effectively reduce the number of hand over and improve the efficiency and stability of AMP networks.

A Causality-aware Paradigm for Evaluating Creativity of Multimodal Large Language Models

Recently, numerous benchmarks have been developed to evaluate the logical reasoning abilities of large language models (LLMs). However, assessing the equally important creative capabilities of LLMs is challenging due to the subjective, diverse, and data-scarce nature of creativity, especially in multimodal scenarios. In this paper, we consider the comprehensive pipeline for evaluating the creativity of multimodal LLMs, with a focus on suitable evaluation platforms and methodologies. First, we find the Oogiri game—a creativity-driven task requiring humor, associative thinking, and the ability to produce unexpected responses to text, images, or both. This game aligns well with the input-output structure of modern multimodal LLMs and benefits from a rich repository of high-quality, human-annotated creative responses, making it an ideal platform for studying LLM creativity. Next, beyond using the Oogiri game for standard evaluations like ranking and selection, we propose LoTbench, an interactive, causality-aware evaluation framework, to further address some intrinsic risks in standard evaluations, such as information leakage and limited interpretability. The proposed LoTbench not only quantifies LLM creativity more effectively but also visualizes the underlying creative thought processes. Our results show that while most LLMs exhibit constrained creativity, the performance gap between LLMs and humans is not insurmountable. Furthermore, we observe a strong correlation between results from the multimodal cognition benchmark MMMU and LoTbench, but only a weak connection with traditional creativity metrics. This suggests that LoTbench better aligns with human cognitive theories, highlighting cognition as a critical foundation in the early stages of creativity and enabling the bridging of diverse concepts. EEG-based fatigue driving monitoring has important application value in road traffic safety, and the ultimate goal of the research is the development and use of wearable devices, and too many EEG channels in practical application scenarios is detrimental to device portability, and it will lead to problems such as large amount of data, complex calculation and long processing time, so it is especially important to study how to select the EEG channels highly correlated with fatigue. In this paper, a PLI-Relief-based channel selection algorithm by combining the PLI functional connectivity and the weighting idea of Relief algorithm is proposed, and it is applied to the channel selection of fatigue driving EEG. First, the PLI functional connectivity matrix is constructed for the EEG signals after preprocessing, and the binarized PLI matrix is mapped into a brain functional network, and the prime channels are selected by the degree property of the brain network. Then, the power spectral density features are extracted from the EEG signals of the prime channels, and the weights of each prime channel are obtained using the relief algorithm, then the number and the names of optimal channels are determined according to the recognition accuracy of different channel combinations. The proposed method was validated on the publicly available SEED-VIG dataset, and the data of the seven optimal channels is finally selected and obtains a classification accuracy of 81.25%. The framework proposed in this paper takes into account both the correlation between channels and the characteristics of the channel signals themselves in channel selection, which is a reference value for the development and application of wearable devices. © 2022 IEEE.

With the rapid development of network services and edge computing, Quality of Service (QoS) has become an important indicator to validate performances of a network. Recommend high-quality services to users based on QoS values. However, the high sparsity of QoS data is because users usually call certain services only at a given time. Missing QoS data is very common in various service recommendation systems. Therefore, it is essential to predict QoS data to accurately recommend high-quality services to users. For the QoS data prediction problem, we build a third-order data tensor 'User-Service-Time' for the time series characteristics of QoS data. And introduce time-series variation as a regularization term into third-order tensor data prediction. We propose a QoS prediction framework using Low-Rank Autoregressive Tensor Completion (LATC). In particular, constructing a third-order tensor data model can better capture the global consistency of the data structure. Time regularization is introduced to take into account the local correlation of the data. Finally, in order to solve the constrained optimization problem, we use the general Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) to minimize the iterative optimization of variables and autoregressive parameters to obtain the final prediction result. Meanwhile, we conduct extensive research experiments on the real dataset WS-Dream. Experiments show that the QoS data prediction accuracy of our proposed QoS prediction method is higher than that of existing prediction methods under different degrees of data density. © 2022 IEEE.

VTON 360: High-Fidelity Virtual Try-On from Any Viewing Direction

Virtual Try-On (VTON) is a transformative technology in e-commerce and fashion design, enabling realistic digital visualization of clothing on individuals. In this work, we propose VTON 360, a novel 3D VTON method that addresses the open challenge of achieving high-fidelity VTON that supports any-view rendering. Specifically, we leverage the equivalence between a 3D model and its rendered multi-view 2D images, and reformulate 3D VTON as an extension of 2D VTON that ensures 3D consistent results across multiple views. To achieve this, we extend 2D VTON models to include multi-view garments and clothing-agnostic human body images as input, and propose several novel techniques to enhance them, including: i) a pseudo-3D pose representation using normal maps derived from the SMPL-X 3D human model, ii) a multi-view spatial attention mechanism that models the correlations between features from different viewing angles, and iii) a multi-view CLIP embedding that enhances the garment CLIP features used in 2D VTON with camera information. As the material basis for all life activities, proteins play a crucial role in performing life activities. Most real-life proteins perform various functions in the form of protein complexes, so it is essential for understanding of life activities to accurately identify protein complexes. Most of the existing approaches learn protein interactions directly from protein topology,ignoring the biological characteristics of the actual proteins. Nevertheless, actual protein complexes are usually composed of protein cores and protein attachments. In this study, a new MP-DE algorithm is designed from the core-attachment structure to generate protein complex cores using Markov clustering, while searching for attached proteins in the second-order neighborhood of core protein complexes based on differential evolution(DE) algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed method has high detection accuracy and efficiency on the current mainstream protein-protein interaction(PPI) database.

Sequential recommendation systems have attracted much attention for the practical applications, and various methods have been proposed. Existing methods based on graph neural networks (GNNs) mostly capture the sequential dependencies on an item graph by the historical interactions. However, due to the pre-defined item graph, there are some unsuitable edges connecting the items that may be weakly relevant or even irrelevant to each other, which will limit the ability of hidden representation in GNNs and reduce the recommendation performance. To address this limitation, we design a new method called Self-Adaptive Graph Neural Networks (SA-GNN). In particular, we employ a self-adaptive adjacency matrix to improve the flexibility of learning by adjusting the weights of the edges in the item graph, so as to weaken the effect of unsuitable connections. Empirical studies on three real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Deductive reasoning is a crucial logical capability that assists us in solving complex problems based on existing knowledge. Although augmented by Chain-of-Thought prompts, Large Language Models (LLMs) might not follow the correct reasoning paths. Enhancing the deductive reasoning abilities of LLMs, and leveraging their extensive built-in knowledge for various reasoning tasks, remains an open question. Attempting to mimic the human deductive reasoning paradigm, we propose a multi-stage Syllogistic-Reasoning Framework of Thought (SR-FoT) that enables LLMs to perform syllogistic deductive reasoning to handle complex knowledge-based reasoning tasks. Our SR-FoT begins by interpreting the question and then uses the interpretation and the original question to propose a suitable major premise. It proceeds by generating and answering minor premise questions in two stages to match the minor premises. Finally, it guides LLMs to use the previously generated major and minor premises to perform syllogistic deductive reasoning to derive the answer to the original question. Extensive and thorough experiments on knowledge-based reasoning tasks have demonstrated the effectiveness and advantages of our SR-FoT.
