The brain consists of massive nuclei with different functions. In neuroscience research, the precise recognition and delineation of nucleus boundaries is the crux of brain atlas illustration. Here, we propose a method based on Markov Random Field. This method introduces fractional differentiation into texture feature extraction and a new potential energy function is defined based on kernel region information. To handle the problem of large data volume, we propose a strategy of dual MRF processing with down sampling for pre classification. Finally, the fuzzy entropy criterion is used to optimize the segmentation results. Experiments on model data and real tissue slice data show that this method can not only segment the regions with obvious differences in the density of the nuclei with insignificant differences in the density of nuclei, but also divide the nuclei without insignificant density differences by the cell shapes and textures. In addition, this method can not only segment a specific target kernel in one calculation, but also simultaneously partition multiple target kernels. The segmentation algorithm shows great potential for illustrating high-resolution 3D brain atlases. © 2023 ACM.

More and more edge devices are linked with the network along with the digital transformation of society and the rapid development of the Internet of things. A large number of edge devices produce a large amount of data which challenges the IOT network with cloud computing as the core computing power. The edge computing can save network bandwidth and reduce delay as the extension and supplement of cloud computing on the one hand;on the other hand, the characteristics of multiple mobile devices based on edge computing make it very suitable to realize big data fusion with the Federated Learning framework, the privacy and security of users can be greatly improved by edge computing based on Federated Learning, the data silos can be broken and a more intelligent Internet of things can be achieved. This paper summarizes the common algorithms of Federated Learning based on edge computing, analyzes the existing challenges, and summarizes the corresponding algorithms. © SPIE.

The processes of sowing and fertiliser application represent a significant aspect of agricultural production. In order to achieve efficient and precise seeding and fertiliser application, mass flow detection of seed and fertiliser particles can facilitate real-time monitoring and precise decision-making for intelligent seeding and fertiliser application. However, the diversity of seed and fertiliser particle types and particle flow modes presents a challenge for existing detection methods, particularly in meeting the varying operational requirements, especially for particle mass flow detection in low-altitude and high-speed sowing operations of agricultural drones. In such cases, the overlap and flow rate will have a significant impact on the detection results due to the large displacement and the continuous high-throughput dense phase of the particle flow. This paper provides a summary of the existing seed and fertiliser particle mass flow detection techniques and their underlying working principles. It compares the direct detection based on mass with the indirect detection methods based on velocity and concentration, and analyses their respective advantages, disadvantages and applicability. It also explores the possibility of optimising the existing detection methods for the specific needs of agricultural UAVs and considers the potential introduction of cutting-edge science and technology in order to develop an efficient, accurate and convenient detection system to meet the growing market demand. © (2025), (INMA Bucharest). The task of crime prediction is to predict the charges of a case based on the given description of the case, which has become a research hot spot. Most of the existing methods use neural networks and machine learning algorithms to predict. The prediction results have high accuracy, but the prediction results are often not well interpretable. In addition, some early traditional methods can explain the prediction results, but their accuracy is often very low. Formal concept analysis is an effective data extraction tool. Therefore, this paper combines formal concept analysis with neural network to improve the accuracy of the algorithm. The experimental results show that our method has higher prediction results and can better explain the prediction results than the original neural network model. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Kinship verification is one of the interesting and critical problems in computer vision research, with significant progress in the past decades. Meanwhile, Vision Transformer (VIT) has recently achieved impressive success in many domains, including object detection, image recognition, and semantic segmentation, among others. Most of the previous work on kinship verification are based on convolutional or recurrent neural networks. Compared with the local processing of images like convolutions, transformers can effectively understand and process images globally. However, due to overuse, there are many Transformer layers of fully connected layers, and VIT speed is still an issue. Therefore, in this paper, inspired by the recent success of Transformer models in vision tasks, we propose a Transformer-based kinship verification for training and optimizing kinship verification models. We first train the basic vision transformer (VIT-B) with 12 transformer layers, then we reduce the transformer layers to 6 layers, namely VIT-S (Small Vit) and 4 layers, namely VIT-T (Tiny Vit), to make a tradeoff between optimization accuracy and efficiency. As the first attempt to apply Transformer to the kinship verification task, it provides a feasible strategy for kinship research topics and verifies the effectiveness of the method in terms of the accuracy of the experimental results. © 2022 IEEE.

In practice, significant modality differences usually exist between visible and infrared images, which makes visible-infrared Person Re-Identification (VI-ReID) a challenging research task. Due to the existing influence of pose variation, background changes, and occlusion, there are often outlier samples within the set of images from the same person. These outlier samples can adversely affect the process of learning the cross-modal matching model. The existing VI-ReID methods mainly focus on learning cross-modal feature representation by using image-level discriminant constraints, i.e., the distance between the truly-matching cross-modal images should be smaller than that between wrong-matching cross-modal images. However, most of these methods ignore the adverse influence caused by outliers. To solve the above problems, we proposed a Point-level and Set-level Deep Representation Learning (PSDRL) approach for VI-ReID in this paper. By using the set-level constraint in the process of deep representation learning, the discrepancy between visible and infrared modalities can be decreased, and the adverse effect of outliers can be weakened. By employing the image-level constraint, the discriminability of the obtained deep feature representations can be improved. Extensive experiments are conducted on the publicly available cross-modal Person Re-Identification datasets, including SYSU-MM01 and RegDB. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. © 2022 IEEE.

Segmentation of rat heart section images and infarct area quantization are essential components of infarct size measurement in processing data from animal experiments on ischemic heart disease. Previously, the task of measuring the infarct size of rat heart sections was performed manually by experienced researchers, which was very costly and time-consuming. In this paper, we propose a two-stage semi-supervised approach to solve the task of ischemic heart infarct size calculation in images of rat section images. The approach uses a semi-supervised semantic segmentation model and a semi-automated quantization algorithm to separate the differently stained regions of rat heart sections. We demonstrate the results of the approach on a rat heart section dataset, and experiments on this dataset emphasize the effectiveness of our approach compared to other methods. © 2022 IEEE.

Edge computing solves massive data processing problems by utilizing the storage and computing functions of edge devices. Due to the openness of edge computing, distracted devices inevitably participate in edge computing and affect the network computing performance, which degrades trust management of edge devices. To solve the above issue, this paper proposes a trust management framework based on blockchain for edge computing scenarios (ECTMF). First, the ECTMF framework slices users and provides corresponding services based on different requirements. It evaluates the trustworthiness of end devices and distinguishes distracted devices in edge computing. Then, the Proof of Monitor (PoM) consensus mechanism is proposed to continuously monitor distracted end devices in edge computing. With the substantial increase in image transmission,the demand for image security is ***-like images can be obtained by conventional encryption schemes,and although the security of the images can be guaranteed,the noise-like images cannot be directly previewed and *** on the rank-then-encipher method,some researchers have designed a three-pixel exact thumbnail preserving encryption(TPE2)scheme,which can be applied to balance the security and availability of images,but this scheme has low encryption *** this paper,we introduce an efficient exact thumbnail preserving encryption ***,blocking and bit-plane decomposition operations are performed on the plaintext *** zigzag scrambling model is used to change the bit positions in the lower four bit ***,an operation is devised to permute the higher four bit planes,which is an extended application of the hidden Markov ***,according to the difference in bit weights in each bit plane,a bit-level weighted diffusion rule is established to generate an encrypted image and still maintain the same sum of pixels within the *** results show that the proposed scheme improves the encryption efficiency and can guarantee the availability of images while protecting their privacy.
