The microstructure evolution of secondary austenite in 2507 duplex stainless steel was investigated by means of optical metallography,scanning electron microscopy and confocal scanning laser *** types of secondary austenite(γ2)morphologies including partially transformed austenite,grain boundary austenite,Widmannstätten austenite(WA)and intragranular austenite could be formed during cooling after solution *** was concluded that secondary austenite morphology was mainly dependent on cooling *** mechanisms of WA formation were *** nucleated at grain boundary of ferrite or at the formed phase *** electron microscopy(TEM)analysis displayed that WA grew in parallel to the *** effects of Cr_(2)N on secondary austenite precipitation were discussed in *** Cr_(2)N was involved,a mechanism was proposed that secondary austenite formed by element diffusion,leading to the migration of the austenite–ferrite ***_(2)N acted as the nucleation sites forγ2 and provided the nitrogen for the transformation;meanwhile,the precipitation of Cr_(2)N during the rapid cooling was captured by TEM.A process of nucleation followed by diffusion was concluded to be the formation of secondary austenite with no Cr_(2)N *** decomposition of secondary austenite was also studied,which was found to be a diffusion mechanism followed by displacement in connection with the element distribution.

In this paper, we have developed a database based on almost real-life theft incidents with due diligence using isolated subjects over a period of time at a government hospital under the plea of free health checkup. The experiment has been conducted at Midnapore Medical College and Hospital, West Bengal, India, with proper ethical committee approval. The participants are selected at the behest of the police department with habitual crime records. Most of them have been repeatedly charged with petty crimes of pick-pocketing and stealing. They are invited individually at different instances of time under the plea of medical checkup where they have been enticed to steal cash. It is followed by a two-stage process, a friendly interaction followed by a slightly tougher interrogation. Facial thermal imaging could be more effective as it is noninvasive and could be a stealth method of tracking the facial blood flow and temperature patterns.

The input/output system is one of the key component of travelling-wave tubes and affects the bandwidth and power capacity of the whole tube significantly. The widely used windows simulator component of MTSS for TWT's input/output system is based on finite element method. It might be inefficient when the multiscale feature of a complex input/output system leads to large numbers of mesh for accuracy. So that the matrix equation need to be solved become millions of order, which results in lots of computation resources consuming. In this work, a novel domian decomposition simulator for the transmission analysis of the TWT's input/output system is proposed. By transfer a large matrix equation solution problem into a series of smaller problems, the new simulator needs far less memory and CPU time than the one based finite element method during the simulation process. The results shows that the new simulator is more efficient than the old one under a comparable computational accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

An intelligent tuning method of microwave window based on reinforcement learning is proposed in this paper. Using Python script to drive HFSS, the method can obtain the structural parameters and simulation response data of the microwave window. This method takes the structural parameters and simulation response data as input and output to establish the forward prediction model and the reverse prediction model of the microwave window. HFSS environment, action, state, reward and other elements of reinforcement learning are constructed in this method. Based on this method, the S-parameter curves of microwave window can be rapidly optimized, and the microwave window with reflection coefficient less than -26.444 dB in the working frequency band of 135/ 145 GHz is realized. © 2023 IEEE.

Along with rapid urbanization, there always has been an increasing number of industrial parks within or around urban areas to promote economic development. Construction of the industrial parks also changes the original land cover and land use, which may cause urban thermal environmental problems to some extent. At present, in terms of urban thermal environment, most studies have been conducted at city scale, while there have been a few studies discussing the issues on industrial parks. In this study, two neighboring county-level cities (i.e. Jinjiang and Shishi, named Jinjiang-Shishi) in Quanzhou city, being located in southeast Fujian Province, China, were taken as the study area. Considering the spatial resolution of Landsat-8 satellite remote sensing images and the area size of industrial parks, four types with 70 industrial parks were collected correspondingly, including manufacturing (MF), manufacturing, wholesale and retail (MWRT), manufacturing, leasing and business services (MLBS), and transportation, storage and postal industry (TSPI). The Collection 2 Level-2 products of Landsat-8 were used, from which land surface temperature (LST) and the reflectance-based indices (or components) were derived. Preliminary findings showed that the surface temperature of industrial parks was relatively higher, both in summer and winter cases. Generally, the TSPI was provided with the highest LST, whereas the MF and MWRT shared similar pattern but being lower in LST. Meanwhile, for winter cases the MLBS was the lowest in LST. Investigating the thermal environment of industrial parks is an important initiative, to find out the influencing factors and propose useful mitigation measures.

In order to increase turbine efficiency while retaining structural integrity, modern jet engines need an effective cooling system. Pin-fin arrays play a significant role in the internal cooling system of the turbine blade. In examining the efficacy of cooling techniques using pin-fins, the other papers focus on pin-fin configurations. In contrast, the current study is a step toward optimizing cooling cascade endwalls for better maneuvering and reservation of vortices, which leads to more considerable heat transfer near the endwalls. This study examines the flow field and heat transfer of roughed endwall in the pin-fin channel, including varieties with flat endwall and extruded endwall. The heat transfer of the channel and pressure drop properties of the extruded endwall case are quantitatively assessed to contrast with those of the flat endwalls scenario for an intake Reynolds number range of 7400 to 36000. The leading and trailing surfaces of the channel are divided into five streamwise regions to understand better how well the pin-fins and endwalls transmit heat. The results show that the new endwall construction significantly increases the high heat transfer zones around the pin-fins compared to the flat endwall scenario. In the meantime, the heat transfer of the channel to the pin-fins is enhanced by the modified endwall configuration. The redesigned endwall outperformed the basic case regarding the HTEI, rising by 15.9%. It is found that the friction factor of the new design is increased due to the narrowing channel. However, due to their much higher heat transfer capacity, the HTEI of extruded endwall is up to 41.5% higher than the HTEI of the channel with flat endwalls. These results demonstrate that the heat transfer properties of pin-fins can be significantly improved by optimizing endwall design. © 2023, Turbomachinery Society of Japan. All rights reserved.

Fermented foods, such as kombucha, have gained popularity due to their rich content of beneficial bioactive compounds. Papaya leaves, known for their abundance of bioactive substances such as alkaloids, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds, have garnered attention for their potential to improve immune function by neutralising free radicals. This study investigates the suitability of papaya leaves and petioles as substrates for kombucha fermentation. Our findings indicate that papaya leaves and petioles were suitable substrates for kombucha fermentation, indicated by the SCOBY mass accumulation during fermentation. The gradual decrease in brix and pH values over a 14 days fermentation period corresponds to sugar metabolism and the accumulation of acetic acid. Additionally, fermentation increases total polyphenol (PPK: 250.07 ± 3.00 mg/L, PLK: 330.87 ± 15.56 mg/L) and total flavonoid content (PPK: 26.67 ± 6.31 mg/L, PLK: 34.44 ± 5.55 mg/L). Moreover, papaya-derived kombucha demonstrates enhanced antibacterial properties and inhibits ⍺-amylase linked to diabetes. Sensory evaluations confirm that papaya kombucha achieves a well-balanced and appealing sensory profile, catering to diverse palates. In summary, papaya leaves and petiole exhibit promise as substrates for kombucha production, offering elevated nutritional value and potential health advantages. © 2024 institute of Food, Science and technology (IFSTTF).

The electrochemical model of lithium-ion batteries features a host of microscopic and electrochemically relevant parameters. Hence, it bears substantial challenges to concurrently identify all the unknown parameters of the model solely with the measured current and voltage data, let alone yield accurate results. Since the identifiability of the parameters varies under different work conditions, it is necessary to perform a parameter identifiability analysis to identify the corresponding parameters utilizing highly identifiable work conditions. In this paper, we commence the establishment of a high-precision and low-complexity reduced-order simplified model for the full-order Pseudo-two-dimensions (P2D) model, culminating in a parameter identifiability analysis strategy leveraging the Fisher Information Matrix (FIM). Via analyzing the parameter identifiability of the reduced-order simplified model under different work conditions, a parameter identification strategy for the electrochemical model is proposed in conjunction with the open circuit voltage (OCV) test, work condition test, capacity test, and direct current internal resistance test. The results demonstrate that the proposed parameter identification strategy boasts high precision, where the relative error of the identified parameters falls within 4%, and the mean absolute error (MAE) of the voltage is below 2mV in the simulation test analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

In the current research, cementitious nanomaterial n-SiC and non-cementitious nanomaterial Nano Barium Oxide (n-BaO) were doped in the material combination to exchange cement by 0.5 %, 0.75 %, and 1 %, correspondingly. When compared to normal concrete, n – SiC additions with 0.75 % replacement also nano-BaO adding with 0.5 %substitution enhance compression strength by 16.54 % and 6.32 %, respectively, and fragment strength of tensile by 19 % also 3.86 %. Bogue's compound has a large amount of hydration of Tricalcium Silicate C3S. As a result, interactions of nanomaterials with C3S were examined in this work during the hydration process. Because of the additional cement gel formation caused by n – SiC, concrete's compressive strength and durability are improved. The Zn(OH)-2. coating those forms during the hydration procedure helps cement resist water. The acid defiance qualities of concrete are boosted to certain amount by doped nanoparticles, but the concrete strength is lost. The specific ingredient of concrete for cement and non-cement nanomaterial can be easily determined using optimum composition. Then, for the tap building sector, an UPV test was executed in order to better comprehension the influence of nano-composites in concrete. © 2022
