The manufacture and obsolescence of smartphones produce numerous waste plastic accessories(e.g.,waste smartphone protective film(WSPF)),possessing immense potential for ***,available recycling technologies have limitations such as substrate damage and secondary pollutant *** present study aimed to develop a green disposal method that not only recycled polyethylene terephthalate(PET)from WSPF,but also reused the stripped polyacrylate(PAA)adhesive as an adsorbent to reduce solid waste *** the WSPF was treated in 1 mol/L NaOH solution at 90°C,the PAA hydrolyzed to two main by-products of 1-butanol and 2-ethylhexanol,weakening the binding strength between PAA and PET and then efficient separation of *** bench-scale test revealed that over 97.2%of detachment efficiency toward PAA was achieved during continuous treatment of 17 batches of WSPF(200 g for each)without supplement of NaOH and generation of ***,the economic evaluation indicated that the recycling method would generate a net profit margin of 647%for the second year without considering the incurrence of new cost and ***,the pyrolysis of waste PAA enabled its conversion into potential adsorbent,which showed 2 to 4 times enhanced adsorption capacity toward styrene and ethyl acetate after modification with NaOH *** study provides a green method for recycling waste plastics and inspires a referable solution for solid waste treatment in the smartphone industry.

To understand the smoke level and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery in Beijing,we selected 905 construction machines in Beijing from August 2022 to April 2023 to monitor the emission level of smoke and NO_(x).The exhaust smoke level and excessive emission situation of different machinery types were identified,and their NO_(x)emission levels were monitored according to the free acceleration *** investigated the correlation of NO_(x)and smoke emission,and proposed suggestions for controlling pollution discharge from construction machinery in the *** results show that the exhaust smoke level was 0–2.62 m^(−1),followed a log-normal distribution(μ=-1.73,δ=1.09,R^(2)=0.99),with a 5.64%exceedance *** observed amongmachinery types,with low-power engine forklifts showing higher smoke *** NO_(x)emission range was 71–1516 ppm,followed a normal distribution(μ=565.54,δ=309.51,R^(2)=0.83).Differences among machinery types were relatively *** rated net power had the most significant impact on NO_(x)***,NO_(x)emissions from construction machinery need further ***,we found a weak negative correlation(p<0.05)between the emission level of smoke and NO_(x),that is the synergic emission reduction effect is poor,emphasizing the need for NO_(x)emission *** the future,the oversight in Beijing should prioritize phasing out ChinaⅠand ChinaⅡmachinery,and monitor emissions from highpower engine ChinaⅢmachinery.

Gasoline vapor emissions from service stations significantly affect urban *** the research on the mechanisms and effectiveness of gasoline vapor removal is limited,this study innovatively investigates the static and dynamic adsorption of xylene—a typical gasoline vapor and one of the most active secondary organic aerosol(SOA)species—by commercial activated carbon(AC).The results showed that the saturation static adsorption capacity(Q_(e))of 12 ACs varied from 0.9 to 870.7 mg/g,which correlated with the specific surface area(SSA)and pore *** them,11#and 12#ACs were identified as the most effective adsorbents for typical gasoline vapor *** maximum dynamic Q_(e) increased from 301.5 to 414.3 mg/g when the initial xylene concentration rose from 918 to 2008 mg/m^(3) for 11#AC,and from 201.4 to 406.2 mg/g when the initial xylene concentration increased from 589 to 2120 mg/m^(3) for 12#*** findings implied a direct correlation between higher initial xylene concentrations and greater dynamic Q_(e) values,with static Q_(e) values surpassing dynamic *** adsorption kinetics simulation were analyzed by the pseudo-first-order(PFO)and pseudo-second-order(PSO)*** kinetics results demonstrated that the PFO was more effective in characterizing the adsorption of xylene onto ACs(R2>0.989),indicating that the adsorption of typical gasoline vapor by ACs primarily involves physical *** findings of static/dynamic adsorption and kinetics provide valuable guidance for practical applications of gasoline vapor removal in service stations.
