This paper presents the results of power quality research in low voltage distribution network of the second biggest city in Serbia, Nis. The research is based on the measurements in transformers stations 10/0.4 kV that supply different load classes and that are located in different parts of the city. Power quality indices - total and individual harmonic distortions, unbalance factor and RMS voltage variation are analysed and compared with IEEE Standard 519 and EN 50160 limits. The results are grouped and discussed according to load classes that considered transformer stations supply.

Deep color and high concentration of organic compounds are the important characteristics of Chemithermomechanical pulp (CTMP) effluent. The objectives of this study are to investigate the feasibility of removing the color of eucalyptus CTMP chemical pretreatment effluent with zero-valent iron (Fe(0)) and to examine the effect of Fe(0) treatment on biodegradability enhancement of the effluent. The effect of operating conditions, including pH, reaction time, castiron filings dosage and size range, on color removal rate was discussed. Results showed that under certain conditions, color removal rate of the effluent reached about 90%. It was also found that chemical oxygen demand (COD) and 5 day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) of the effluent decreased evidently after zero-valent iron treatment, and BOD5/COD increased from 0.27 to 0.42, which indicated that biodegradability of the effluent was obviously enhanced. Based on the results, it is feasible that zerovalent iron can be used for pretreatment of CTMP effluent before biological treatment processes.

Home automation systems based on wireless sensor/actuator networks are characterized by diversity of node power sources, limited computational power, and mobility. We propose a routing protocol that fully uses the location of static nodes to limit the search for a route to a small zone based on the analysis of characteristics and requirements. The calculation of two different kinds of zone and the route discovery procedure are described in this paper. According to the environment of home automation, we compared the performance of our routing protocols with the ad-hoc on-demand distance-vector protocol using simulation and gave suggestions for zone selection. Simulation results showed that our routing protocol dramatically reduced the routing overhead and increased the reliability.

This paper puts forward the concept of Mass Rapid Transit including the existing rail transit system and the BRT system. For the Mass Rapid Transit planning framework study, on the basis of a detailed overview of research results at home and abroad, we will design a planning macro framework with coordinating the Mass Rapid Transit and conventional bus transit, and set up a basis of the macro framework for coordinated planning theory, integrating application of the bi-level programming theories and optimization methods. So, basing on the improving the bi-level programming theory, to address the key technical issues of the coordinated planning as much as possible, forming the macro-theoretical system for Mass Rapid Transit system planning. Thirty-two 10 × 10 m 2 quadrats were set up in four mangrove communities for the study of the niches of nine plants with horizontal and vertical resource sequences in Dawei Bay, Qi’ao Island, Zhuhai City. Generally, species diversities of natural mangroves were higher than those of plantations. The diversities decreased along sequence of substrate layer, shrub layer and tree layer in natural mangroves; and were highest on the shrub layer in plantations. At the horizontal resource sequence, the niche breadth varied 0.132–0.896 ( B ( sw ) ) and 0.120–0.693 ( B ( L ) ). The niche breadth of Acanthus ilicifolius and Aegiceras corniculatum were the highest and that of Spartina alterniflora was the lowest. At the vertical resource sequence, the niche breadth varied 0–0.400 ( B ( sw ) ) and 0.333–0.747 ( B ( L ) ). All the niche breadth values were the lowest except those of A. ilicifolius and A. corniculatum . The niche similarity of the populations varied 0–0.746 and 0–1.000 at the horizontal and vertical resource sequences, respectively. A . ilicifolius and A . corniculatum had niche overlap with all plants at the horizontal resource sequence, while the introduced Sonneratia caseolaris and Sonneratia apetala had no such overlapping between six and five plants in the community, respectively. At the vertical resource sequence, A . ilicifolius and A . corniculatum had niche overlapping with all the populations. The more niche overlapping existed among the other populations. The results indicated that, currently, the mangrove plantation in Qi’ao Island had a simplex structure and composition of species. The status of plant populations’ niche was determined by the species selected and structure of afforestation. We present a novel reduction method of port-Hamiltonian systems by a renormalization group. The reduced system is suitable for a fast numerical calculation in a mesoscopic scale. Especially, we aim at the development of renormalized molecular dynamics with controls. First, we define a renormalized Hamiltonian with coarse graining. Next, we introduce a renormalized canonical Hamiltonian system. Moreover, we clarify the relationship between the renormalized Hamiltonian system and a Dirac structure. Finally, we obtain necessary conditions of boundary connections for each renormalized Hamiltonian system with different scales.
