In this paper, the pollutants in the wastewater from the manufacture of papermaking-reconstituted tobacco slice were analyzed via common chemical assays, FTIR and gas chromatography-mass spectrography (GC-MS). The results show that the wastewater is of complicated pollutants, high suspended sediment concentration, acidity pH and good biodegradation property, that the pollutants mainly include the hydrolysates of cellulose, hemicellulose and liglin, and that there exist some matters with low molecular mass, some non-volatile organic acids, nicotine, tar and phenols in the wastewater, which darkens the wastewater. The complete biodegradation of the above-mentioned components is the key to the successful wastewater treatment during the manufacture of papermaking-reconstituted tobacco slice.

On the basis of the wastewater disposal evaluation of secondary-fibre paper mills in Yihuang County, Jiangxi, China, and by taking a planned secondary-fibre paper mill with an annual production of 100000 ton as the example, the effects of wastewater disposal on the water environment are investigated via modeling and forecasting, with CODCr and BOD5 as the control factors. The results show that secondary-fibre paper mills can be properly constructed in Yihuang because the wastewater disposal of the planned paper mill only slightly affects the regional water environment of the Yihuang River.

p-Aminophenol (PAP), a typical amphoteric compound, has been widely used as raw chemical material and important interrnediate in various fields. To study on the recovery of PAP, an experimental comparison of the adsorption and desorption properties of PAP onto three types of hyper-cross-linked resins in aqueous solutions was performed. This paper focuses on the static equilibrium adsorption and desorption behaviors, the adsorption thermodynamics, the column dynamic adsorption and desorption, and other influencing factors of adsorption, such as temperature and pH values. All the isothermal data fit well to the Freundlich model. The capacity of equilibrium adsorption for PAP on NG-10 is the highest within the temperature range 288K-318K, which may greatly contribute to the advantage in specific surface area, especially the micropore area, of the adsorbent. While in the desorption experiments, NG-9 achieved relative well regeneration efficiency whether by ethanol or by 4% hydrochloric acid. Furthermore, the results of column tests and field applications were also proved that NG-9 was an effective sorbent for the reclamation PAP from wastewater.

A class of complex dynamical networks with time-varying coupling delays is investigated. By some transformation, the synchronization problem of the complex networks is transferred equally into the asymptotical stability problem of a group of uncorrelated delay functional differential equations. The delays considered in this paper are assumed to vary in an interval, some free weighting matrices are used to express the relationships among the system variables, and among the terms in the Leibniz-Newton formula. The sufficient condition for delay-dependent asymptotical synchronization stability is derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities. A numerical example is given to illustrate the theoretical results.

A class of weighted general complex dynamical networks with coupling delays is investigated. By some transformation, the synchronization problem of the complex networks is transferred equally into the asymptotical stability problem of a group of uncorrelated delay functional differential equations. control of such networks is investigated by applying local feedback injections to a fraction of network nodes for continuous time. Furthermore the less conservative sufficient condition for delay-dependent asymptotical synchronization stability is derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities based on the Finsler's Lemma. It is also shown that the whole networks can be stabilized by controlling only a few nodes. A numerical example is given to illustrate the theoretical results.

A new method is introduced for simulating R, L, C load and power system steady state load based on SPWM power converter technology, and its control strategy is also proposed. Simulation results in this paper prove that such an AC-DC-AC converter can simulate the steady state and transient state performances of R, L, C load and the steady state performance of power system load very well. Besides, the simulation of motors and generators can be also accomplished by this principle and technology.

A new coagulant of ferric and aluminum alumina iron (HF) was used to decolorize the effluent of eucalyptus CTMP. The results showed that in the condition of pH value 4 to pH value 7 and the dosage of HF 4mL to 9mL per 100mL wastewater, the color of CTMP effluent decreases from 18700C.U. to 80C.U., the optimal condition of pH value 5 and the dosage of the coagulant 6 mL/100mLwas found by the orthogonal experiment. The analyses of UV/VIS spectrometer, FT-IR instrument and Zeta potential instrument showed that it is the reactions with the negative charge of lignin structure, the coagulant of ferric and aluminum has good decolorization effect.

The reaction discussed in this paper is a complicated, multi-phase-catalyzed batch reaction to produce phenyl-pyretic acid by double carbonylation of benzyl chloride. In order to industrialize the production process, a significant engineering problem is to study the operation and control of this batch process. The first stage of study in this paper is to process the experimental data, then to build the models based on the experimental operation of every batch with the artificial neural networks. These models, termed operation models, can reflect the operational characteristics of every operation process. But in the further simulation study, it was found that these models could not be successfully applied. The principal reason for this difficulty is that the experimental data used to model the reaction are too sparse. To solve this problem, we perform the second stage to build an intrinsic model. The ldquogray boxrdquo model, which is able to describe the characteristic of the batch process, is called an intrinsic model. Then in the third stage of this paper, we propose a multiple time scaled control strategy based on the intrinsic model. The major result of the simulation study suggests that the control system holds promise in engineering applications.
