Fully linear graph convolutional networks for semi-supervised learning and clustering

This paper presents FLGC, a simple yet effective fully linear graph convolutional network for semi-supervised and unsupervised learning. Instead of using gradient descent, we train FLGC based on computing a global optimal closedform solution with a decoupled procedure, resulting in a generalized linear framework and making it easier to implement, train, and apply. We show that (1) FLGC is powerful to deal with both graph-structured data and regular data, (2) training graph convolutional models with closed-form solutions improve computational efficiency without degrading performance, and (3) FLGC acts as a natural generalization of classic linear models in the non-Euclidean domain, e.g., ridge regression and subspace clustering. Furthermore, we implement a semisupervised FLGC and an unsupervised FLGC by introducing an initial residual strategy, enabling FLGC to aggregate long-range neighborhoods and alleviate over-smoothing. We compare our semi-supervised and unsupervised FLGCs against many state-of-the-art methods on a variety of classification and clustering benchmarks, demonstrating that the proposed FLGC models consistently outperform previous methods in terms of accuracy, robustness, and learning efficiency. This paper concentrates on the study of the decentralized fuzzy control method for a class of fractional-order interconnected systems with unknown control directions. To overcome the difficulties caused by the multiple unknown control directions in fractional-order systems, a novel fractional-order Nussbaum function technique is proposed. This technique is much more general than those of existing works since it not only handles single/multiple unknown control directions but is also suitable for fractional/integer-order single/interconnected systems. Based on this technique, a new decentralized adaptive control method is proposed for fractional-order interconnected systems. Smooth functions are introduced to compensate for unknown interactions among subsystems adaptively. Furthermore, fuzzy logic systems are utilized to approximate unknown nonlinearities. It is proven that the designed controller can guarantee the boundedness of all signals in interconnected systems and the convergence of tracking errors. The goal of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) image mosaicing is to create natural-looking mosaics free of artifacts due to the parallax of the image and relative camera motion. UAV remote sensing is a low-altitude technology and the UAV imaged scene is not effectively planar, yielding parallax on images. In this paper, we apply local homography to match UAV images, which can reduce misalignment artifacts or “ghosting” in the results compared with 2D projective transforms or global homography. In addition, when an object in three dimensions is mapped to an image plane, different surfaces have different projections. These projections vary with the viewpoint in a sequence of UAV images, which still causes artifacts near some tall buildings if we only use local homography. We propose a novel stitching method based multi-region local projection deformation, that divides the overlapping regions of input images into several regions, then meshes image to calculate local projections by partitioned regions. Specifically, we use a strategy where multiple regions have different weights for calculating local projections, which can significantly reduce ghosting due to these projections vary with the viewpoint and parallax. The benefits of the proposed approach are demonstrated using a variety of challenging cases.

As the key technology of UAV mission planning, path planning has a very important impact on the combat effectiveness of UAV. In order to destroy enemy units, multiple UAVs are often needed to attack the target at the same time. In the complex combat environment, the path planning of multiple UAVs is a very complex problem. On the basis of genetic algorithm, this paper designs a path planning algorithm to ensure that multiple UAVs arrive at the same time from different angles on the premise of satisfying environment constraints and the motion constraints of UAV. The algorithm uses the method of regionalization to initialize the path, designs a reasonable fitness function, and adds an adaptive disturbance operator to plan the path of each UAV. Finally, the length difference between the paths planned for each UAV is taken as the path evaluation factor. Some of the paths are replanned to achieve the goal of the same path length and simultaneous attack by UAV. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by experiments in typical combat scenarios, and the superiority of the adaptive disturbance operator in the optimization of the algorithm is verified by the contrast experiment.

In the Bitcoin system, transaction fees serve not only as the fundamental economic incentive to stimulate miners, but also as an important tuner for the Bitcoin system to define the priorities in the transaction confirmation process. In this paper, we aim to study the priority rules for queueing transactions based on their associated fees, and in turn users' decision-making in formulating their fees in the transaction confirmation queueing game. Based on the queueing theory, we first analyzed the waiting time of users under non-preemptive limited multi-priority (LMP) rule, which is formulated to adjust users' waiting time over different priorities. We then established a game-theoretical model, and analyze users' equilibrium fee decisions. Towards the end, we conducted computational experiments to validate the theoretical analysis. Our research findings can not only help understand users' fee decisions under the LMP rule, but also offer useful managerial insights in optimizing the queueing rules of Bitcoin transactions. © 2019 IEEE.

To realize personalized customization, we propose a social manufacturing pattern for the shoes and clothing industry. On the customer side, we collect costumer information with the help of 3D scanning and virtual fitting. On the production side, we replace human labor with intelligent production equipment. On the enterprise management side, we construct a cloud platform to realize source maximization. Through this social manufacturing pattern, we expect to accelerate the intelligent reform of the shoes and clothing industry.

FCM-RDpA: TSK fuzzy regression model construction using fuzzy C-means clustering, regularization, droprule, and powerball adabelief

To effectively optimize Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) fuzzy systems for regression problems, a mini-batch gradient descent with regularization, DropRule, and AdaBound (MBGD-RDA) algorithm was recently proposed. This paper further proposes FCM-RDpA, which improves MBGD-RDA by replacing the grid partition approach in rule initialization by fuzzy c-means clustering, and AdaBound by Powerball AdaBelief, which integrates recently proposed Powerball gradient and AdaBelief to further expedite and stabilize parameter optimization. Extensive experiments on 22 regression datasets with various sizes and dimensionalities validated the superiority of FCM-RDpA over MBGD-RDA, especially when the feature dimensionality is higher. We also propose an additional approach, FCM-RDpAx, that further improves FCM-RDpA by using augmented features in both the antecedents and consequents of the rules. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. Most conventional crowd counting methods utilize a fully-supervised learning framework to establish a mapping between scene images and crowd density maps. They usually rely on a large quantity of costly and time-intensive pixel-level annotations for training supervision. One way to mitigate the intensive labeling effort and improve counting accuracy is to leverage large amounts of unlabeled images. This is attributed to the inherent self-structural information and rank consistency within a single image, offering additional qualitative relation supervision during training. Contrary to earlier methods that utilized the rank relations at the original image level, we explore such rank-consistency relation within the latent feature spaces. This approach enables the incorporation of numerous pyramid partial orders, strengthening the model representation capability. A notable advantage is that it can also increase the utilization ratio of unlabeled samples. Specifically, we propose a Deep Rank-consistEnt pyrAmid Model (DREAM), which makes full use of rank consistency across coarse-to-fine pyramid features in latent spaces for enhanced crowd counting with massive unlabeled images. In addition, we have collected a new unlabeled crowd counting dataset, FUDAN-UCC, comprising 4,000 images for training purposes. Extensive experiments on four benchmark datasets, namely UCF-QNRF, ShanghaiTech PartA and PartB, and UCF-CC-50, show the effectiveness of our method compared with previous semi-supervised methods.
