A novel model and behavior analysis for a swarm of multi-agent systems with finite velocity

Inspired by the fact that in most existing swarm models of multi-agent systems the velocity of an agent can be infinite, which is not in accordance with the real applications, we propose a novel swarm model of multi-agent systems where the velocity of an agent is finite. The Lyapunov function method and LaSalle＇s invariance principle are employed to show that by using the proposed model all of the agents eventually enter into a bounded region around the swarm center and finally tend to a stationary state. Numerical simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Hybrid CFD/FEM-BEM simulation of cabin aerodynamic noise for vehicles traveling at high speed

Flow passing a vehicle may lead to the increase of the cabin interior noise level through a variety of mechanisms. These mechanisms include vibrations caused by aerodynamic excitations and reradiation from the glass panels, exterior noise trans-mitted and leaked through door seals including gaps and glass edge, and transmission of airborne noise generated by the interaction of flow with body panels. It is of vital importance to predict both the flow fields and the acoustic sources around the ve-hicle to accurately assess the impact of wind induced noise inside the cabin. In the present study, an unstructured segregated finite volume model was used to calculate the flow fields in which a hexahedron grid is used to simplify the vehicle geometry.A large eddy simulation coupled with a wall function model was applied to predict the exterior transient flow fields. The mean flow quantities were thus calculated along the symmetry plane and the vehicle's side windows. A coupled FEM/BEM method was used to compute the vehicle's interior noise level. The total contribution of the interior noise level due to the body panels of the vehicle was subsequently analyzed.

This paper proposes an energy- and size-aware clustering (ESC) strategy for megaconstellation systems. The methodology constructs a hierarchical architecture with designated cluster heads and member satellites through role differentiation. Cluster heads serve as relay nodes, reducing the communication load on ground infrastructure by interacting with ground stations and other entities. This hierarchical approach enables efficient constellation control through interactions primarily with cluster heads. The ESC strategy begins with a cluster head election process, incorporating orphan handling management to select cluster heads, ensuring full coverage of the entire constellation. Then, a two-stage multi-objective optimization framework is used to deal with division of members to clusters and intra-cluster multi-hop connectivity configurations. This dual-phase approach optimizes energy consumption while maintaining balanced cluster sizes. Simulations on the OneWeb system validate the ESC strategy as a viable solution in that it achieves 55.9% energy consumption reduction compared to traditional discrete gradient optimization methods while maintaining more balanced cluster sizes. © 2025 IEEE.

This paper describes a parameter of voltage sensitivity to recognize the performance differences of tag antennas for inductively coupled RFID systems. Based on the equivalent circuit model of the RFID tag and reader, an expression for the voltage sensitivity is educed. Then, the design steps of measuring platform to obtain the voltage sensitivity of tag antenna are introduced in detail. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed method was verified with the market available tag antennas through the measuring platform. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Excavator Energy-saving Efficiency Based on Diesel Engine Cylinder Deactivation Technology

The hydraulic excavator energy-saving research mainly embodies the following three measures： to improve the performance of diesel engine and hydraulic component, to improve the hydraulic system, and to improve the power matching of diesel-hydraulic system-actuator. Although the above measures have certain energy-saving effect, but because the hydraulic excavator load changes frequently and fluctuates dramatically, so the diesel engine often works in high-speed and light load condition, and the fuel consumption is higher. Therefore, in order to improve the economy of diesel engine in light load, and reduce the fuel consumption of hydraulic excavator, energy management concept is proposed based on diesel engine cylinder deactivation technology. By comparing the universal characteristic under diesel normal and deactivated cylinder condition, the mechanism that fuel consumption can be reduced significantly by adopting cylinder deactivation technology under part of loads condition can be clarified. The simulation models for hydraulic system and diesel engine are established by using AMESim software, and fuel combustion consumption by using cylinder-deactivation-technology is studied through digital simulation approach. In this way, the zone of cylinder deactivation is specified. The testing system for the excavator with this technology is set up based on simulated results, and the results show that the diesel engine can still work at high efficiency with part of loads after adopting this technology; fuel consumption is dropped down to 11% and 13% under economic and heavy-load mode respectively under the condition of driving requirements. The research provides references to the energy-saving study of the hydraulic excavators.

New method for stability of systems with time-varying delay via improved free-matrix-based integral inequality

This paper concerns the stability problem of systems with time-varying delay. A single integral of the second-order derivative is introduced to Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional for considering more delay-cross relationships. The improved free-matrix-based integral inequality is used to estimate the derivative of double integral of the second-order derivative. Some less conservative stability criteria for systems with time-varying delay are deduced in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a example is provided to demonstrate validity and superiority of the proposed method. © 2017

Three-Dimensional Scene Encryption Algorithm Based on Phase Iteration Algorithm of the Angular-Spectral Domain

In order to increase the capacity of encrypted information and reduce the loss of information transmission, a three-dimensional(3 D) scene encryption algorithm based on the phase iteration of the angular spectrum domain is proposed in this paper. The algorithm, which adopts the layer-oriented method, generates the computer generated hologram by encoding the three-dimensional scene. Then the computer generated hologram is encoded into three pure phase functions by adopting the phase iterative algorithm based on angular spectrum domain,and the encryption process is completed. The three-dimensional scene encryption can improve the capacity of the information,and the three-phase iterative algorithm can guarantee the security of the encryption information. The numerical simulation results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper realized the encryption and decryption of three-dimensional scenes. At the same time, it can ensure the safety of the encrypted information and increase the capacity of the encrypted information.

Gesture recognition is a key research field in the human-computer interaction. At present, most of researchers focus on one-handed gesture recognition, but do not pay much attention to bimanual (two hands) gesture recognition. This paper presents a deep learning-based solution to tackle the self-occlusion and self-similarity. To solve this problem, this paper uses Kinect to collect many colour and depth images of different gestures, and each gesture contains multiple sample individuals. Colour images and depth images are used to train the recognition model of bimanual gesture respectively, and then the colour image and depth image are fused, and the bimanual gesture recognition model is trained based on colour image and depth image fusion. Then, the bimanual recognition effects of the three models are compared. The experimental results show that, regardless of the single gesture precision or the mean average precision, the bimanual gesture recognition effect of the fused model is better than the gesture recognition models based on either colour image or depth image. Traditional microwave filter tuning is mainly based on the optimization method, which needs to extract the coupling matrix of scattering parameters in the process of tuning. However, due to actual microwave filter has phase loading and resistance loss, the extraction result of the coupling matrix may not be accurate, which leads to tuning inefficiency. In order to solve this problem, we present a novel intelligent tuning method by using an improved implicit space mapping algorithm which can optimize the zero pole position. This method is divided into two stages. In the first stage the phase error is used to initial the filter tuning, guaranteeing the return loss of the filter appear in the passband. The second stage realizes the fine tune of the filter. Firstly, the polynomial coefficients of the filter reflection characteristics are extracted by the Cauchy method. Secondly, the relationship between the Screw variation and the polynomial coefficients of the reflection parameters is established based on neural networks. Finally, the mapping relation between the variation of the screw and the variation of poles and zeros position is established by improved implicit space mapping algorithm. The tuning experiment of eight order coaxial cavity filter shows that the method has good tuning effect and quick tuning speed.
