Deep learning-based no-reference image quality assessment (NR-IQA) algorithm requires massive training data and labels, but data scarcity usually exists in practical applications. Most of the previous metrics used pre-trained networks to solve this problem by fine-tuning on the target tasks. Unfortunately, the network trained on other tasks cannot be directly applied to IQA tasks and failed when encountering complex distortions. To reduce dependence on labeled data and improve generalization ability of unknown distortion types, a NR-IQA metric based on Meta-SGD is proposed, which can learn the quick adaptability of humans and obtain general meta-knowledge for distortion evaluation. Specifically, we collected a great many NR-IQA tasks with different distortion types to pre-train the model;then a meta-learning metric based on optimization, Meta-SGD, is proposed to acquire the meta-knowledge when evaluating images quality with various known distortions;finally, the obtained pre-trained meta-model can be directly applied to the new NR-IQA tasks only by fine-tuning a few images. Experiments on the TID2013 database demonstrate that the model after meta-learning obviously outperforms than some existing methods, and the average SRCC value for all types of distortion performance tests can reach 0.91. © 2021 IEEE

Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DNNs) have made significant progress on human pose estimation task in recent years. However, the question of whether we are making the most use of the information we get from DNNs has not been well studied. Top-down approach which first detects person body box then utilizes single person pose estimation by heatmap is a widely used method in multi-person pose estimation. However, information that predicted by DNNs contains more information than we consider. In person box prediction process, when two persons are closed to each other, the Non-Maximum Suppression (NMS) we often use filters out the body boxes with smaller scores. For tackling this problem, we apply NMS based on Shape Similarity to person body boxes detection for tackling the problem that deleting the overlapped body boxes with smaller scores, and then extract keypoint coordinates and tag information for filter noise candidates from heatmap by Trasformer to improve the prediction accuracy. At last we develop an algorithm for refining keypoint coordinate by tag information. In experiment, we got mean Average Precision(mAP) of 76.0% in COCO2017 validation dataset, better than 75.6% with TransPose. © 2021 IEEE

Low-frequency noise, such as road noise from automobiles and interior noise from bullet train cars, is detrimental to passenger comfort. Active noise control provides us with a way of suppressing low-frequency noise. It generates a sound of the same amplitude and opposite phase as noise and uses it to cancel the noise. Conventional active noise control is complicated to apply. Thus, the objective of this study is to establish a sound field control system by using the equivalent-input-disturbance method. System identification was performed to obtain an ideal plant of a duct. The control system is constructed based on the equivalent-input-disturbance approach with a low-order controller. The experimental results showed a suppression effect of about 50% of the sound field.

The tracker based on Siamese neural network is currently a technical method with high accuracy in the tracking field. With the introduction of transformer in the visual tracking field, the attention mechanism has gradually emerged in tracking tasks. However, due to the characteristics of attention operation, Transformer usually has slow convergence speed, and its pixel-level correlation discrimination in tracking is more likely to lead to overfitting, which is not conducive to long-term tracking. A brand new framework FAT was designed, which is the improvement of MixFormer. The operation for simultaneous feature extraction and target information integration in MixFormer is retained, and the Mixing block is introduced to suppress the background as much as possible before the information interaction. In addition, a new operation is designed: the result of region-level cross-correlation is used as a guidance to help the learning of pixel-level cross-correlation in attention, thereby accelerating the model convergence speed and enhancing the model generalization. Finally, a joint loss function is designed to further improve the accuracy of the model. Experiments show that the presented tracker achieves excellent performance on five benchmark datasets.

In human-robot systems, ensuring user safety amidst external disturbances remains paramount. An efficient variable impedance control (VIC) technique is designed to enhance human-robot interaction, particularly in scenarios with external force disturbances. By dynamically adapting impedance parameters in response to detected changes in contact force, VIC achieves heightened system flexibility. The robust stability of the VIC system is rigorously established using the Lyapunov approach, with a parameter update law tailored for a lower limb supernumerary robotic limb robot. Through simulations and experiments, the efficacy of the system in maintaining a specific safety margin is demonstrated. Moreover, the technique offers a pragmatic solution to accommodate individual variations in walking gait and cross-user disparities in interaction. The proposed method contributes to advancing the safety and adaptability of cross-user human-robot systems.

This paper studies the problem of trajectory tracking control for directional drilling in underground coal mine by devising a robust model predictive control method. First, a directional drilling trajectory extension model is obtained by the linearization of a drilling tool kinematic model through the Taylor series expansion in the borehole depth domain. Then, in view of the influence of the uncertainty of the drilling tool slope and external interference, a robust model predictive control method is introduced in the form of an optimal control problem. A sufficient condition is obtained to calculate the corresponding controller gain matrix on the premise of satisfying the stability of the closedloop control system and the $H_{\infty}$ performance index. At last, the effectiveness of our method is illustrated through simulation analysis. Compared with model predictive control, robust model predictive control directly incorporates the uncertainty of the drilling tool slope and external interference into the control design, enabling it to better adapt to the complex and variable underground coal mine environment.

Adapting Human Mesh Recovery with Vision-Language Feedback

Human mesh recovery can be approached using either regression-based or optimization-based methods. Regression models achieve high pose accuracy but struggle with model-to-image alignment due to the lack of explicit 2D-3D correspondences. In contrast, optimization-based methods align 3D models to 2D observations but are prone to local minima and depth ambiguity. In this work, we leverage large vision-language models (VLMs) to generate interactive body part descriptions, which serve as implicit constraints to enhance 3D perception and limit the optimization space. Specifically, we formulate monocular human mesh recovery as a distribution adaptation task by integrating both 2D observations and language descriptions. To bridge the gap between text and 3D pose signals, we first train a text encoder and a pose VQ-VAE, aligning texts to body poses in a shared latent space using contrastive learning. Subsequently, we employ a diffusion-based framework to refine the initial parameters guided by gradients derived from both 2D observations and text descriptions. Finally, the model can produce poses with accurate 3D perception and image consistency. Experimental results on multiple benchmarks validate its effectiveness. A broad-deep fusion network-based fuzzy emotional inference model with personal information (BDFEI) is proposed for emotional intention understanding in human-robot interaction. It aims to understand students’ intentions in the university teaching scene. Specifically, feature extraction is carried out by convolution and maximum pooling, and then the ridge regression algorithm is used for emotional behavior recognition, which reduce the influence of the complex structure and slow network updates in deep learning. Multivariate analysis of variance is used to select the key personal information affecting the intention and obtain the coefficient of influence degree. Finally, fuzzy inference is used to understand the intention. According to the recognition results, the accuracy on FABO database of our proposal is 1.89%, 12.21% and 0.78% higher than those of the Residual Network combined with geodesic flow kernel (ResNet-101+GFK), a fuzzy deep neural network with sparse autoencoder (FDNNSA), and an affect recognition on a video-skeleton of bimodal information with a hierarchical classification fusion strategy (HCFS), respectively, indicating that our proposal can effectively capture the emotional intention of students in the teaching scene.

Ethiopian Airlines' Boeing 737-8 MAX nosedived and crashed shortly after takeoff on March 10,2019,at Ejere Town,south of Addis Ababa.A faulty angle of attack(AOA) sensor was the cause of the *** airplane accidents have been linked to faulty AOA sensors in the *** majority of the AOA sensor fault detection,isolation,and accommodation(SFDIA) literature relied on linear model-driven techniques,which are not suitable when the system's model is uncertain,complex,or *** multilayer perceptron(MLP) models have been employed in datadriven models in the literature and the effectiveness of deep learning-based data-driven models has not been *** this work,a data collection and processing method that ensures the collected data is not monotonous and a data-driven model for AOA SFDIA is *** proposed model uses a deep learning-based recurrent neural network(RNN) to accommodate for faulty AOA measurement under flight conditions with faulty AOA measurement,faulty total velocity measurement,and faulty pitch rate *** residual analysis with a fixed threshold is used to detect and isolate faulty AOA *** proposed and benchmark models are trained with the adaptive momentum estimation(Adam) *** show that the proposed model effectively detects,isolates,and accommodates faulty AOA measurements when compared to other data-driven benchmark *** method is able to detect and isolate faulty AOA sensors with a detection delay of 0.5 seconds for ramp failure and 0.1 seconds for step failure.
