Parallel cyber-physical attacks (PCPA) refer to those attacks on power grids by disturbing/cutting off physical transmission lines and meanwhile blocking transmission of measurement data to dwarf or delay the system protection and recovery actions. Such fierce hostile attacks impose critical threats to the modern power grids when there is a fusion of power grids and telecommunication technologies. In this paper, we investigate the fault diagnosis problem of faulty transmission lines under a broader spectrum of PCPA for a linearized (or DC) power flow model. The physical attack mechanism of PCPA includes not only disconnection but also admittance value modification on transmission lines, for example, by invading distributed flexible AC transmission system (D-FACTS). To tackle the problem, we first recover the information of voltage phase angles within the attacked area. Using the information of voltage phase angle and power injection of buses, a graph attention network-based fault localization (GAT-FL) algorithm is proposed to find the locations of the physical attacks. By capitalizing on the feature extraction capability of the GAT on graph data, the fault localization algorithm outperforms the existing results when under cyber attacks, e.g., denial of service (DoS) attacks. A line state identification algorithm is then developed to identify the states of the transmission lines within the attacked area. Specifically, the algorithm restores the power injection of buses within the attacked area and then identities the state of all the transmission lines within the attacked area by solving a linear programming (LP) problem. Experimental simulations are conducted on IEEE 30/118 bus standard test cases to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed fault diagnosis algorithms. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. MindEye-OmniAssist: A Gaze-Driven LLM-Enhanced Assistive Robot System for Implicit Intention Recognition and Task Execution

A promising effective human-robot interaction in assistive robotic systems is gaze-based control. However, current gaze-based assistive systems mainly help users with basic grasping actions, offering limited support. Moreover, the restricted intent recognition capability constrains the assistive system’s ability to provide diverse assistance functions. In this paper, we propose an open implicit intention recognition framework powered by Large Language Model (LLM) and Vision Foundation Model (VFM), which can process gaze input and recognize user intents that are not confined to predefined or specific scenarios. Furthermore, we implement a gaze-driven LLM-enhanced assistive robot system (MindEye-OmniAssist) that recognizes user’s intentions through gaze and assists in completing task. To achieve this, the system utilizes open vocabulary object detector, intention recognition network and LLM to infer their full intentions. By integrating eye movement feedback and LLM, it generates action sequences to assist the user in completing tasks. Real-world experiments have been conducted for assistive tasks, and the system achieved an overall success rate of 41/55 across various undefined tasks. Preliminary results show that the proposed method holds the potential to provide a more user-friendly human-computer interaction interface and significantly enhance the versatility and effectiveness of assistive systems by supporting more complex and diverse task. Tracing Intricate Cues in Dialogue: Joint Graph Structure and Sentiment Dynamics for Multimodal Emotion Recognition

Multimodal emotion recognition in conversation (MERC) has garnered substantial research attention recently. Existing MERC methods face several challenges: (1) they fail to fully harness direct inter-modal cues, possibly leading to less-than-thorough cross-modal modeling;(2) they concurrently extract information from the same and different modalities at each network layer, potentially triggering conflicts from the fusion of multi-source data;(3) they lack the agility required to detect dynamic sentimental changes, perhaps resulting in inaccurate classification of utterances with abrupt sentiment shifts. To address these issues, a novel approach named GraphSmile is proposed for tracking intricate emotional cues in multimodal dialogues. GraphSmile comprises two key components, i.e., GSF and SDP modules. GSF ingeniously leverages graph structures to alternately assimilate inter-modal and intra-modal emotional dependencies layer by layer, adequately capturing cross-modal cues while effectively circumventing fusion conflicts. SDP is an auxiliary task to explicitly delineate the sentiment dynamics between utterances, promoting the model’s ability to distinguish sentimental discrepancies. Furthermore, GraphSmile is effortlessly applied to multimodal sentiment analysis in conversation (MSAC), forging a unified multimodal affective model capable of executing MERC and MSAC tasks. Empirical results on multiple benchmarks demonstrate that GraphSmile can handle complex emotional and sentimental patterns, significantly outperforming baseline models. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Anomaly detection is essential to ensure the safety of industrial processes. This paper presents an anomaly detection approach based on the probability density estimation and principle of justifiable granularity. First, time series data are transformed into a two-dimensional information granule by the principle of justifiable granularity. Then, the test statistic is constructed, and the probability density and cumulative distribution functions of the test statistic are calculated. Next, the confidence level determines the test threshold. Finally, the time series data of a key parameter in the sintering process is used as a case study. The experimental result demonstrates that the proposed approach can detect abnormal time series data effectively, providing an accurate and effective solution for detecting time series anomalies in industrial processes.

In the field of electric power distribution network operation, most tasks involve contact operations. A key technology to enable the flexible operation of robots in live distribution network tasks is the installation of six-dimensional force sensors on the robot's end flange. These sensors allow the robot to perceive external environmental contact forces. However, the presence of the end load interferes with the accurate perception of external forces. Aiming at the gravity compensation of robot end load, an optimization algorithm of gravity compensation based on particle swarm optimization is proposed. In this method, the optimal solution model is established with the objective of minimum sum of squared errors, and the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to estimate the mounting declination angle of the force sensor and improve the precision of gravity compensation. The experiments show that the proposed method can effectively reduce the maximum gravity compensation error and the average gravity compensation error in each direction after optimization, in which the maximum gravity compensation error of the resultant force is reduced by 9.11% and the average gravity compensation error of the resultant force is reduced by 12.34%.

Grid-forming inverter is widely used in grid-connected systems of distributed generation because of its frequency and voltage support capacity and good stability in microgrid,but its large inertia will affect the dynamic response speed of grid-forming *** order to solve this problem,this paper introduces the loop that affects the dynamic response of grid-forming inverter,and carries out small signal modeling for active loop,analyzes the dynamic performance indicators and determinants of typical second-order ***,a method of adding power feedforward coefficient to the forward channel of the power loop is designed,and the response speed of the system with or without feedforward coefficient under the unit step response is ***,the simulation results show that adding the power feedforward coefficient can improve the response speed of the grid-forming inverter during startup and power switching,then achieves the effect of fast control.

This paper is concerned with $H_{\infty}$ performance analysis of aperiodic sampled-data systems by employing the input delay approach. Firstly, a novel augmented looped-functional (ALF) is presented under the double-side looped-functional technique, which considers coupled relationships among state vectors more fully than the current ones. Then, by using the Bessel-Legendre inequality to estimate the derivative of the ALF, a stability criterion is derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness and the advantages of the proposed criterion by comparing it with the existing ones.

The process of blast furnace ironmaking is com-posed of several sub-processes. The process of blast furnace smelting is complicated and the data of each sub-process are scattered and not concentrated. The traditional working mode of subjective judgment based on manual experience is not conducive to the stable production of the blast furnace. Therefore, this paper develops a big data system for the production process of blast furnace, which is of great significance to realize the digital production and intelligent production of blast furnace. According to the system architecture of blast furnace ironmaking, this paper mainly designs and develops the data acquisition layer, data storage layer, data analysis layer and data application layer of the big data system.

In this paper, a multi-feature extraction-based image identification method for rock debris in the drilling process is proposed, involving three main parts (trainable feature extractor, strong feature extraction, and classification). In trainable feature extractor, abstract features are obtained by extracting the full connection layer of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). In strong feature extraction, the method uses Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Color Coherence Vector (CCV) to get the strong feature. In classification, the extracted abstract features and strong features are concatenated and fed into the Support Vector Machine (SVM). Comparison results with two well-known methods indicated the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper investigates the cooperative output regulation (COR) of nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) with long input delay based on periodic event-triggered mechanism. Compared with other mechanisms, periodic event-triggered control can automatically guarantee a Zeno-free behavior and avoid the continuous monitoring of triggered conditions. First, a new periodic event-triggered distributed observer, which is based on the fully asynchronous communication data, is proposed to estimate the leader information. Second, a new distributed predictor feedback control method is proposed for the considered nonlinear MASs with input delay. By coordinate transformation, the MASs are mapped into new coupled ODE-PDE target systems with some disturbance-like terms. Then, we show that the COR problem is solvable. At last, to further save the communication resource, a periodic event-triggered mechanism is considered in the sensor-to-controller transmission in every agent. A new periodic event-triggered filter is proposed to deal with the periodic event-triggered feedback data. The MASs with input delay are mapped into coupled ODE-PDE target systems with sampled data information. Then, Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions are constructed to demonstrate the exponential stability of the MASs. Simulations verify the validity of the proposed results. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.
