As software engineering advances and the code demand rises, the prevalence of code clones has increased. This phenomenon poses risks like vulnerability propagation, underscoring the growing importance of code clone detection techniques. While numerous code clone detection methods have been proposed, they often fall short in real-world code environments. They either struggle to identify code clones effectively or demand substantial time and computational resources to handle complex clones. This paper introduces a code clone detection method namely Toma using tokens and machine learning. Specifically, we extract token type sequences and employ six similarity calculation methods to generate feature vectors. These vectors are then input into a trained machine learning model for classification. To evaluate the effectiveness and scalability of Toma, we conduct experiments on the widely used bigCloneBench dataset. Results show that our tool outperforms token-based code clone detectors and most tree-based clone detectors, demonstrating high effectiveness and significant time savings. © 2024 ACM.

RGB-Thermal Salient Object Detection (RGBT-SOD) plays a critical role in complex scene recognition applications, such as autonomous driving. However, security research in this domain is still in its infancy. This paper presents the first backdoor attack on RGBT-SOD systems, generating saliency maps on triggered inputs that depict non-existent salient objects chosen by the attacker or falsely mark an entire image as fully salient or entirely non-salient. We uncover that triggers have an influence range for generating non-existent salient objects, supported by a theoretical analysis. Extensive experiments show the effectiveness of our attack in both digital and physical-world scenarios. Notably, our dual-modality backdoor attack achieves an Attack Success Rate (ASR) of 86.72% with only five pairs of poisoned images in model training. After investigating potential countermeasures, we find them inadequate in mitigating our attacks, highlighting the urgent need for robust defenses against sophisticated backdoor attacks in RGBT-SOD systems. © 2024 ACM.

Cross-resolution person re-identification(CR-ReID) seeks to overcome the challenge of retrieving and matching specific person images across cameras with varying resolutions. Numerous existing studies utilize established CNNs and ViTs models to resize captured low-resolution (LR) images and align them with high-resolution (HR) image features. However, these methods overlook the potential feature connections between LR and HR images. Consequently, CNNs or ViTs tend to highlight outliers rather than the intended characteristics in LR image attention maps. In this work, we propose the abnormal feature elimination and reconfiguration transformer (ART) network, a novel network architecture, for robust cross-resolution person re-identification tasks. Our proposed method uses a resolution feature discriminator to learn resolution invariant features and outputs feature matrices of images with different resolutions. We utilize output feature matrices to model LR and HR image interactions through cross-resolution landmark agent attention. We aim to mitigate abnormal image features and prioritize the attention on the target person by learning representations from input images of various resolutions. Extensive evaluations on three real-world datasets confirm the excellent results of our approach. © 2024 IEEE.

Spatiotemporal deformation analysis of glaciers and surrounding landscapes in the Shishapangma region using InSAR techniques

Genealogical knowledge graphs depict the relationships of family networks and the development of family histories. They can help researchers to analyze and understand genealogical data, search for genealogical descendant paths, and explore the origins of a family. However, the heterogenous, autonomous, complex, and evolving natures of genealogical data bring challenges to the development of contemporary genealogical knowledge graph models. Applying existing methods to genealogical data may be improper because general knowledge graph models lack in-depth domain knowledge. In this paper, we propose a genealogical knowledge graph model named Huapu-KG that combines HAO intelligence (human intelligence + artificial intelligence + organizational intelligence) to implement the construction and applications of genealogical knowledge graphs. Furthermore, challenges in constructing genealogical knowledge graphs are demonstrated, and experiments conducted on real-world genealogical datasets verify the feasibility and effectiveness of our proposed model. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

Personalized Federated Learning (PFL) has gained significant attention for its ability to handle heterogeneous data effectively. Parameter decoupling is a typical approach to PFL. It decouples the model into a feature extractor and a classifier head, where the feature extractor is trained collaboratively to learn a common representation and the classifier head is personalized for local data. Since local training only learns personalized feature information and ignores global information, the generalization ability of the feature extractor is limited. To improve the performance of the local model, a feasible approach is to make the local feature extractor more generalized. However, prior work requires the transmission of additional feature data beyond the transmission of model parameters, which leads to privacy leakage and higher communication overhead. To address these shortcomings, we propose a PFL algorithm with feature alignment via knowledge distillation, named PFAKD. PFAKD enhances the training of local feature extractors by explicitly aligning each sample’s local features with global features, providing more detailed guidance. Meanwhile, it avoids additional communication overhead and the risk of privacy leakage. We conduct extensive experiments in heterogeneous data scenarios. PFAKD outperforms other state-of-the-art methods by up to 4.35% in terms of model accuracy. High-quality grass-roots statistics are an important guarantee to objectively reflect the development of grass-roots social and economic operations and provide strong data support for government decision-making. A combined empowerment cloud model is constructed to evaluate the quality of grass-roots statistics. Firstly, the index system for evaluating the quality of grassroots statistics is proposed based on GB/T 36344-2018 national standard framework;secondly, to calculate the weights of subjective and objective indicators, AHP-CRITIC is used in combination with game theory to estimate combination weights;then, the cloud model is constructed to evaluate the quality of grassroots statistics;finally, the proposed method is proved to be reasonable and effective through example analysis, and the cloud The model takes into account the randomness and fuzziness of some indicators and can provide a scientific and reliable decision basis for the evaluation of the quality of grass-roots statistics. © 2024 SPIE.

Image inpainting via Smooth Tucker decomposition and Low-rank Hankel constraint

Image inpainting, aiming at exactly recovering missing pixels from partially observed entries, is typically an ill-posed problem. As a powerful constraint, low-rank priors have been widely applied in image inpainting to transform such problems into well-posed ones. However, the low-rank assumption of original visual data is only in an approximate mode, which in turn results in suboptimal recovery of fine-grained details, particularly when the missing rate is extremely high. Moreover, a single prior cannot faithfully capture the complex texture structure of an image. In this paper, we propose a joint usage of Smooth Tucker decomposition and Low-rank Hankel constraint (STLH) for image inpainting, which enables simultaneous capturing of the global low-rankness and local piecewise smoothness. Specifically, based on the Hankelization operation, the original image is mapped to a high-order structure for capturing more spatial and spectral information. By employing Tucker decomposition for optimizing the Hankel tensor and simultaneously applying Discrete Total Variation (DTV) to the Tucker factors, sharper edges are generated and better isotropic properties are enhanced. Moreover, to approximate the essential rank of the Tucker decomposition and avoid facing the uncertainty problem of the upper-rank limit, a reverse strategy is adopted to approximate the true rank of the Tucker decomposition. Finally, the overall image inpainting model is optimized by the well-known alternate least squares (ALS) algorithm. Extensive experiments show that the proposed method achieves state-of-the-art performance both quantitatively and qualitatively. Particularly, in the extreme case with 99% pixels missed, the results from STLH are averagely ahead of others at least 0.9dB in terms of PSNR values. © 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
