Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown great promise in vulnerability identification. As C/C++ comprises half of the Open-Source Software (OSS) vulnerabilities over the past decade and updates in OSS mainly occur through commits, enhancing LLMs' ability to identify C/C++ Vulnerability-Contributing Commits (VCCs) is essential. However, current studies primarily focus on further pre-training LLMs on massive code datasets, which is resource-intensive and poses efficiency challenges. In this paper, we enhance the ability of BERT-based LLMs to identify C/C++ VCCs in a lightweight manner. We propose CodeLinguaNexus (CLNX) as a bridge facilitating communication between C/C++ programs and LLMs. Based on commits, CLNX efficiently converts the source code into a more natural representation while preserving key details. Specifically, CLNX first applies structure-level naturalization to decompose complex programs, followed by token-level naturalization to interpret complex symbols. We evaluate CLNX on public datasets of 25,872 C/C++ functions with their commits. The results show that CLNX significantly enhances the performance of LLMs on identifying C/C++ VCCs. Moreover, CLNX-equipped CodeBERT achieves new state-of-the-art and identifies 38 OSS vulnerabilities in the real *** Codes 68M25 Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Entity Linking (EL) aims to map mentions in a text to corresponding entities in a knowledge base. Existing EL methods usually rely on sufficient labeled data to achieve the best performance. However, the massive investment in data makes EL systems viable only to a limited audience. There is ample evidence that introducing entity types can provide the model prior knowledge to maintain the model performance in low-data regimes. Unfortunately, current low-data EL methods usually employ entity types by rule constraints, which are in a shallow manner. Furthermore, they usually ignore fine-grained interaction between mention and its context, resulting in insufficient semantic information of mention representation in low-data regimes. To this end, we propose a Class-Dynamic and Hierarchy-Constrained Network (CDHCN) for entity linking. Specifically, we propose a dynamic class scheme to learn a more effective representation for each entity type. Besides, we formulate a hierarchical constraint scheme to reduce the matching difficulty of the given mention and corresponding candidate entities by utilizing entity types. In addition, we propose an auxiliary task called mention position prediction (MPP) to obtain an informative mention representation in low-data regimes. We investigate asymmetric spin wave scattering behaviors caused by vortex chirality in a cross-shaped ferromagnetic system by using the micromagnetic *** the system,four scattering behaviors are found:(i)asymmetric skew scattering,depending on the polarity of vortex core,(ii)back scattering(reflection),depending on the vortex core stiffness,(iii)side deflection scattering,depending on structural symmetry of the vortex circulation,and(iv)geometrical scattering,depending on waveguide *** first and second scattering behaviors are attributed to nonlinear topological magnon spin Hall effect related to magnon spin-transfer torque effect,which has value for magnonic exploration and application.

In deep learning, supervised learning techniques usually require a large amount of expensive labeled data to train the network, and the feature representations extracted by the model usually mix multiple attributes, resulting in feature representations that are difficult to decouple and are non-interpretable, which restricts the application and development of deep learning techniques, and for this reason, it is particularly important to study decoupled feature representation methods for unsupervised learning. Although the Learning deep representations by mutual information estimation and maximization (DIM) method achieves excellent results in unsupervised learning, the feature representations learned by the DIM method still suffer from the problem of difficult decoupling. decoupling problem. To address this problem, we minimize the mutual information between the intermediate layer feature representations learned by the hidden layer of the encoder during the encoder training process, so that the features learned by each filter are as uncorrelated as possible, thus realizing feature decoupling, and our method is called FP-DIM. Finally, the effectiveness of the FP-DIM method is verified on the CIFAR-10, STL-10, and Fashion-MNIST datasets. The experiments show that our proposed FP-DIM method is more significant for the learned decouplable middle layer feature representation. Finally, we also propose a reflection of future research for the FP-DIM method, aiming to provide a research idea and direction for solving unsupervised interpretable machine learning and to lay a solid theoretical and application foundation for machine learning fields such as image classification and migration learning. © 2023 IEEE.

Various stakeholders, such as researchers, government agencies, businesses, and research laboratories require a large volume of reliable scientific research outcomes including research articles and patent data to support their work. These data are crucial for a variety of application, such as advancing scientific research, conducting business evaluations, and undertaking policy analysis. However, collecting such data is often a time-consuming and laborious task. Consequently, many users turn to using openly accessible data for their research. However, these existing open dataset releases typically suffer from lack of relationship between different data sources and a limited temporal coverage. To address this issue, we present a new open dataset, the Intelligent Innovation dataset (IIDS), which comprises six interrelated datasets spanning nearly 120 years, encompassing paper information, paper citation relationships, patent details, patent legal statuses, and funding information. The extensive contextual and extensive temporal coverage of the IIDS dataset will provide researchers and practitioners and policy maker with comprehensive data support, enabling them to conduct indepth scientific research and comprehensive data analyses. © 2020 Tsinghua University Press.

This study centers on the application of vertical federated learning technology in the context of Internet banking loans, with a particular focus on innovations in data privacy protection, risk control model algorithms, and secure multi-party computation. Currently, banking risk control strategies mainly rely on traditional data processing technologies, which often fall short in protecting user privacy and ensuring data usage efficiency. We adopt vertical federated learning technology, offering an innovative solution for the Internet banking loan scenario. Firstly, regarding data privacy protection, we propose a differential privacy mechanism to safeguard user-sensitive data. Secondly, we innovatively apply risk control model algorithms, facilitating collaborative modeling across multiple Internet loan platforms through federated learning. Furthermore, we introduce secure multi-party computation technology to ensure the secure transmission of data and confidentiality of computation processes during federated learning. Through empirical experiments on real Internet loan datasets, we validate the effectiveness and feasibility of our proposed methods. After implementing our risk control model, the credit approval rate increased from 3.44% to 18.2%, with a single-day high reaching 25.53%. The average loan amount increased by 7,700 yuan, and the average interest rate slightly declined by 0.48%, marking a significant improvement and breakthrough compared to traditional risk control models. This study offers innovative solutions for data privacy protection and risk control in the Internet loan scenario, providing safer and more reliable services for financial institutions and users. Moreover, our methods possess high practicality and promotional value. The potential widespread impact on the industry is profound. © 2023 IEEE.

Drug box recognition is an integral part of the pharmacy automation system (PAS), which checks for discrepancies between the drugs provided by the system and the doctor's prescription with the help of modern image recognition techniques. Although deep learning has facilitated the development of pharmacy automation systems, practical applications still face challenges. First, pharmacies update drugs frequently, and many pharmacies across the country are trained independently, which requires consuming massive computational resources. Secondly, the equipment performance of pharmacies is poor, and it's hard to guarantee the real-time and accuracy of recognition. Therefore, we propose a cloud-side collaborative drug box recognition system. When new drugs are added, the new model is trained in the cloud and uniformly distributed to each edge through this architecture. In terms of real-time recognition, an improved lightweight YOLOv5 model is added to the edge part, and a text recognition module is deployed in the cloud to validate the recognition results at the edge. This cloud-edge collaboration architecture not only ensures the accuracy of recognition, but also reduces the burden on the compute edge, ensures the real-time *** results show that the proposed cloud-edge architecture reduces the recognition latency by 37.18% and achieves a precision of 97.47%. The improved YOLOv5 model reduces GFLOPs by 45% while achieving a 1.6% precision improvement. © 2023 IEEE.

Urban travel data typically encompass various temporal and spatial scales and features. Nonetheless, existing traffic travel feature analysis often focuses on a single spatial scale, which may overlook crucial information and hinder features at different scales. Consequently, this could reduce the accuracy of travel pattern recognition. To solve this problem, we introduce a multi-scale fusion transformation algorithm. In our approach, we first establish a multi-level taxi travel data grid system. Then, we apply the I-Clique clustering algorithm to perform grid clustering at each level of the system to identify taxi travel feature regions of different scales. Subsequently, a multi-scale fusion pyramid model is constructed utilizing the acquired travel feature regions at various scales. Finally, we determine the transformation relationships between scales in the pyramid model, enabling the identification of travel feature areas across both known and unknown scales. This approach facilitates the recognition of travel features within cities at any scale. Experimental results demonstrate that the multi-scale fusion transformation algorithm enhances our understanding of spatial aggregation patterns and the hierarchical structure of geographical entities, offering a novel approach for multi-scale urban traffic analysis. © 2024 SPIE. Collaborative filtering (CF) from implicit datasets has attracted much attention in recent years. The current mainstream pairwise methods optimize the Area Under the Curve (AUC) and are empirically proven to be helpful to exploit implicit feedback, but lead to not addressing the rank-biased scenarios where positive items are supposed to be placed on the top-k positions. Although there exist listwise methods, they have low efficiency and are not particularly adequate for general implicit feedback situations. To that end, in this paper, we propose a new framework, namely Collaborative List-and-Pairwise Filtering (CLAPF), which aims to introduce pairwise thinking into listwise methods. Specifically, we first smooth a well-known rank-biased measure called Mean Average Precision (MAP) as a low-bound version to make it can be optimized. After that, we combined the objective functions of optimizing the MAP with pairwise comparisons. The CLAPF framework is a new hybrid model that provides the idea of utilizing a listwise measure in a pairwise way on implicit feedback. © 2023 IEEE.
