Halimodendron halodendron(Pall.) Voss. is a deciduous shrub belonging to the genusHalimodendron, Leguminosae, and is mainly distributed in dry areas. This species can be used for saline-alkali soil improvement and sand fixation. The complete plastid genome ofH. halodendronfirst reported here is 129,342 bp in length, and contains 110 genes, including 76 protein coding genes, 30 tRNA genes, and 4 rRNA genes. A total of 105 simple sequence repeats (SSRs) were identified in the chloroplast genome. This information will be useful for study on the evolution and genetic diversity ofHalimodendron halodendronin the future.

Characteristics of in situ stress field in the Huainan mining area, China and its control factors

Due to the high in situ stresses, dynamic disasters occurred frequently in the Huainan mining area, China. While our understanding of the in situ stresses in this area is still insufficient. In this study, the in situ stresses of 18 sections in two boreholes in the Xinji No. 1 coalfield were measured by using hydraulic fracturing method, and the distribution of in situ stresses in the Huainan mining area were investigated. The relationship between in situ stress and geological structure in the Huainan mining area were summarized and the limitation of fault friction strength on in situ stresses were discussed. The result showed that the maximum horizontal principal stress (σH) at Xinji No. 1 mine was 13.95 - 25.23 MPa, the minimum horizontal principal stress (σh) was 12.16 - 21.17 MPa. The average azimuth of the maximum horizontal principal stress was N83.61 °E. The statistical results showed that the in situ stresses in Huainan mining area were characterized by a strike-slip faulting regime. Both the horizontal and vertical principal stresses increased approximately linearly with the increase of burial depth. The direction of the maximum principal stress in the study area is closely related to the tectonic movement and the ratio of maximum principal stress to minimum principal stress was primarily limited by the friction strength of fault. The outcomes of this research can provide some reliable engineering parameters and benefit the roadway layout and support design in the Huainan mining area. © 2021, CC BY.

Effects of pH on sex organ differentiation and sexual reproduction in the endangered aquatic fern Ceratopteris p teridoides

Ceratopteris pteridoides is an endangered aquatic floating fern in China. The effects of different pH values on spore germination, sex organ differentiation in C. pteridoides are studied by a control experiment of setting pH gradients of 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.3, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 9 in this paper. The results show that spore germination rates (26.1% and 19.30%, respectively) in pH = 4 and pH = 9 are significantly lower (P<0.05) than in reference group (45.63%, pH = 6.3), indicating that spore germination in C. pteridoides is adaptable over a wide range of pH. The optimum pH for spore germination, sex organ differentiation, and gametophyte development in C. pteridoides is between 6 and 7. An ANOVA of the different pH values after cultivation showed that hermaphrodite gametophyte emergence rates in 4, 5, 7.5, 8, 9 pH values were significantly lower (P<0.05) than those of the reference group. This may pose a threat to the sexual reproduction of the wild population of Ceratopteris pteridoides .

Preparation of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete from Construction Waste

This research focuses on the preparation of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) with construction waste as the main raw materials. The properties of dry density and compressive strength of AAC were tested to determine the optimum mix proportion of raw materials and the construction waste fineness. The results indicated that the optimum mix proportion of raw materials was consist of 55-65% construction waste, 15-21% cement and 18-22% quicklime, together with 2% gypsum and 0.1% aluminum powder, the construction waste was mechanically milled for 20 min, and cured in the conditions of autoclave pressure 1.5 MPa for 6 h, the compressive strength of AAC samples were higher than 5.0 MPa, and dry density value could reach 650-700 Kg/m3, which meet the requirements of A5.0 B07 grade in the Autoclaved aerated concrete blocks (GB11968-2006). The analysis of microstructure and phase compositions of the AAC samples showed that the tobermorite, calcite and CSH were formed in the process of autoclave curing, and CSH gels were combined through the skeletons formed by tobermorite crystals, the interconnected and porous microstructure contributed to the good properties of low density and high strength of AAC.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Antitumor Activity of N-[5-(Benzylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]-4-chlorobenzamide

The title compound N-[5-（benzylthio）-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]-4-chlorobenzamide（C（16）H（12）ClN3OS2, Mr = 361.86） was designed and synthesized as anticancer agent, and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to triclinic, space group P1 with a = 5.7417（10）, b = 9.8057（17）, c = 14.330（3） A, a = 91.987（3）, b = 97.154（3）, γ = 93.402（3）°, V = 798.4（2） A3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.505 g/cm^3, μ = 0.507 mm-1） F（000） = 372, the final R = 0.0481 and wR = 0.1290 for 2064 observed reflections with I 〉 2s（I）. In the crystal packing, the molecules form stacks by a three-dimensional framework, which results from intermolecular N（1）-H（1）···N（2） and C（5）-H（5）···N（3） hydrogen bonds together with π-π stacking interactions between the thiadiazole and chlorobenzene rings. The title compound was found to exhibit more potent in vitro antitumor activities against the four tested cancer cell lines than sorafenib.

The title compound, 2-（3-silatranylpropylamino）-4-dichlorophenyl-5,5-dimethyl- 1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane-2-oxide （2（C20H33N2O6Psi）？C2H6O？CH4O, Mr = 991.20）, has been synthe- sized by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of 2-chloro-4-phenyl-5,5-dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxa- phosphorinane-2-oxide with γ-aminopropylsilatrane, and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the triclinic system, space group P with a = 10.3783（15）, b = 11.2402（17）, c = 12.1675（18）？, ？ = 70.653（4）, ？ = 82.908（4）, ？ = 85.690（4）？, V = 1328.1（3）？3, Z = 1, Dc = 1.239 g/cm3, μ = 0.19 mm？1, F（000） = 532, the final R = 0.0640 and wR = 0.2090 for 3615 observed reflections with I 〉 2？（I）. The cyclic dioxaphosphorinane ring in the molecule adopts a thermodynamically stable cis conformation, while the silatrane fragment forms a cage-like structure in which there exists an intramolecular Si？N donor-acceptor bond. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetrically related molecules are linked by pairs of N–H？？？O hydrogen bonds into dimers, generating rings with graph-set motif R22（8）. Furthermore, a couple of O（7）–H（10）？？？O（3） hydrogen bonds were formed by O atom of P=O and H atom from hydroxyl in the solvent ethanol. Thermal property of the compound was also studied by means of thermogravimetry （TGA）. The thermal analysis and preliminary fireproofing test show that the title compound has good flame retardance.

A nanosilica/exfoliated graphene composite film-modified electrode for sensitive detection of methyl parathion

Graphene nanosheets （GS） were easily prepared through liquid-phase exfoliation of graphite powder in N,N-dimethylformamide （DMF） with the assistance of sodium citrate. Then, GS was coated onto a glassy carbon electrode （GCE） surface by drop to fabricate a GS]GCE nanointerface. Subsequently, by using tetraethylorthosilicate sol as precursor, nanosilica was electrochemically deposited onto the GS]GCE surface to produce a nanocomposite film electrode （nanosilicaJGSJGCE）. Electrochemical behaviors of methyl parathion （MP） on the nanosilica/GS/GCE surface were investigated thoroughly. It was found that the nanosilicaJGS nanocomposites can improve the redox peak currents of MP significantly due to the synergetic effect. The oxidation peak current was linearly related to MP concentration in the range from 0.0005 μmol/L to 5.6 μmol/L. The detection limit was calculated to be 0.07 nmol/L （SJN = 3）. The developed method was used to determine MP in real samples. The recoveries were in the range from 95.4% to 104.2%, demonstrating satisfactory results.

We report the complete mitochondrial genome of firefly,Luciola curtithorax. The circular genome of 16,882 bp has a base composition of A (44.98%), C (11.84%), G (8.15%), and T (35.03%). Our sequence is similar to other Metazoa, which contains 13 protein-coding genes. All 13 protein-coding genes were initiated by the ATN (ATT, ATA, and ATG) codon. Ten protein-coding genes stopped with TAA or TAG codon and the other three genes have an incomplete termination codon, a single T––. We sequenced the mitochondrial genome of fireflies to analyze phylogenetic relationships and deduce the evolution of their flashing signals.

We report the complete mitochondrial genome of firefly,Abscondita anceyi(Olivier). The circular genome of 16,519 bp has a base composition of A (43.81%), C (11.80%), G (8.35%), and T (36.03%). Similar to other Metazoa, our sequence contains 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and a non-coding AT-rich region. We sequenced the mitochondrial genome of fireflies to analyse phylogenetic relationships and deduce the evolution of their flashing signals.
