Ag-doped Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) sensor:A promising candidate for lowconcentration H_(2)S gas sensing

Trace hydrogen sulphide(H_(2)S)could reflect the severity of insulation faults in gas-insulated switchgear(GIS),therefore,accurate and fast detection of low-concentration H_(2)S is important for on-line monitoring,fault diagnosis,and state evaluation in ***-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) chemiresistive-type sensors were fabricated via drop-coating with self-reduction synthesised Ag-doped Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x).The as-prepared sensors exhibited an excel-lent sensitivity and selectivity to H_(2)S with an extremely low detection of limit of 18.57 parts per billion(ppb)at 25℃(room temperature).The response of Ag-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) sensor to 10 parts per million(ppm)H_(2)S was enhanced~12 times than that of the pristine Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) *** compositing of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) with Ag nanoparticles(NPs)enabled the fast response/recovery time for H_(2)S *** analysis found that the enhanced H_(2)S sensing performances could be attributed to chemical sensitisation,adsorbed oxygen species regulation and high Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)surface *** study paves the way for Ag-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) as room-temperature sensing materials to detect low-concentration H_(2)S in GIS.

Recent methods have demonstrated that machine learning (ML) based static malware detection models are vulnerable to adversarial attacks. However, the generated malware often fails to generalize to production-level anti-malware software (AMS), as they usually involve multiple detection methods. This calls for universal solutions to the problem of malware variants generation. In this work, we demonstrate how the proposed method, MalwareTotal, has allowed malware variants to continue to abound in ML-based, signature-based, and hybrid anti-malware software. Given a malicious binary, we develop sequential bypass tactics that enable malicious behavior to be concealed within multi-faceted manipulations. Through 12 experiments on real-world malware, we demonstrate that an attacker can consistently bypass detection (98.67%, and 100% attack success rate against ML-based methods EMBER and MalConv, respectively;95.33%, 92.63%, and 98.52% attack success rate against production-level anti-malware software ClamAV, AMS A, and AMS B, respectively) without modifying the malware functionality. We further demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art adversarial malware generation techniques both in attack success rate and query consumption (the number of queries to the target model). Moreover, the samples generated by our method have demonstrated transferability in the real-world integrated malware detector, VirusTotal. In addition, we show that common mitigation such as adversarial training on known attacks cannot effectively defend against the proposed attack. Finally, we investigate the value of the generated adversarial examples as a means of hardening victim models through an adversarial training procedure, and demonstrate that the accuracy of the retrained model against generated adversarial examples increases by 88.51 percentage points. © 2024 ACM.

The wide band-gap (WBG) devices have received widespread attention due to their excellent characteristics like low on-resistance, fast switching speed and better thermal conductivity. However, the crosstalk problem restricts the performance of high-speed WBG transistors in bridge-leg converters. What's more, in high current converters, the crosstalk problem will become more severe. To overcome the crosstalk problem in high current converters and fulfill the WBG devices' high-speed potentials, a simple positive and negative crosstalk mitigation method is presented in this article. This method does not require extra auxiliary controlled switches and extra control strategies, and can mitigate the positive and negative crosstalk spikes. What's more, it is simple implementation, and can be easily integrated with the conventional voltage source gate drivers. The effectiveness of the presented crosstalk suppression method is proved by the simulated and experimental outcomes. © 2023 IEEE.

Federated Learning enables collaboratively model training among a number of distributed devices with the coordination of a centralized server, where each device alternatively performs local gradient computation and communication to the server. FL suffers from significant performance degradation due to the excessive communication delay between the server and devices, especially when the network bandwidth of these devices is limited, which is common in edge environments. Existing methods overlap the gradient computation and communication to hide the communication latency to accelerate the FL training. However, the overlapping can also lead to an inevitable gap between the local model in each device and the global model in the server that seriously restricts the convergence rate of learning process. To address this problem, we propose a new overlapping method for FL, AOCC-FL, which aligns the local model with the global model via calibrated compensation such that the communication delay can be hidden without deteriorating the convergence performance. Theoretically, we prove that AOCC-FL admits the same convergence rate as the non-overlapping method. On both simulated and testbed experiments, we show that AOCC-FL achieves a comparable convergence rate relative to the non-overlapping method while outperforming the state-of-the-art overlapping methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Compared with ordinary three-phase motor, multiphase open-winding motor has higher DC voltage utilization and output power, so it is well-suited for high-power drive applications. However, there are few researches on multiphase open-winding motors at present, in which model predictive current control(MPCC) is the main focus. However, in the applications requiring high dynamic response speed such as marine propulsion, The model predictive torque control(MPTC) is more suitable for application scenario, and the influence of non-sinusoidal back-electromotive force(EMF) on multiphase open-winding motor control system is rarely considered. Therefore, this article takes the six-phase open-winding permanent magnet synchronous motor(SOW-PMSM) as the research object and establishes a complete control system of the multiphase open winding motor. Firstly, the paper analyzes the harmonic generation mechanism of the motor and derives the effects of non-sinusoidal back-EMF and inverter dead time on the motor. It then establishes a mathematical model of the SOW-PMSM that takes into account harmonic in permanent magnet(PM) flux linkage and based on this mathematical model, the reference voltage required by Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) is obtained by using the deadbeat torque control. In addition, a new SVPWM strategy is proposed by using the abundant voltage vectors of the six H-bridge inverters. By using multiple effective vectors, the motor can achieve a high DC voltage utilization while the harmonic plane vector synthesis is zero. Finally, the rationality of the proposed algorithm is verified by simulation. © 2024 IEEE.

The security of commercial encryption algorithms has always been a focus of attention. The SM4 algorithm, a commercial cryptographic standard, has been recognized by ISO/IEC as an international standard and has shown excellent performance on classical computers. However, with the development of quantum computing, traditional encryption algorithms are facing new challenges. This paper investigates the quantum realization of SM4 algorithm. By applying the Grover algorithm to the SM4 algorithm, we conducted a quantum exhaustive attack and provided an estimation of the required quantum resources. This study offers a novel perspective on the application of quantum computing in breaking commercial encryption algorithms, which holds significant implications for the future development of quantum secure communication and cryptography. © 2024 SPIE.

In this work,we show significantly enhanced thermoelectric performance in Cu_(2) SnSe_(3) via a synergistic effect of Cd-doping and CuGaTe_(2) alloying in the temperature range of 300-823 *** the electron and phonon transport properties can be simultaneously regulated by Cd doping at Sn site,leading to a higher quality ***,a maximum figure of merit(zT) value of ~0.68 was obtained for Cu_(2) Sn_(0.93)Cd_(0.07)Se_(3) sample at823 K,which is about four times higher than that of the pristine sample(zT=0.18 at 773 K).Furthermore,Cu_(2) Sn_(0.93)Cd_(0.07)Se_(3) was alloyed with CuGaTe_(2) to reduce the lattice thermal conductivity in the high-temperature ***,a further enhanced zT value(0.77,823 K) was achieved in the(Cu_(2) Sn_(0.93)Cd_(0.07)Se_(3))_(0.94)(CuGaTe_(2))_(0.06) sample,with a high average zT(zT_(ave)) value of0.30 between 300 and 823 *** results demonstrate that Cd-doping combined with CuGaTe2 alloying could be an effective method to enhance zT values of Cu_(2) SnSe_(3) based compounds.
