Blockchain can be envisioned as an enabling framework in terms of cryptography and distributed computing to construct trusted data records among un-trusted users. It can be applied in two typical scenarios - historical process provenance and transaction tracing, by immutably sequentialized blocks. In the former there exists no tokens;but in the latter token handover among accounts should be cryptographically guaranteed. In some situations, above two applications may be both required. E.g., in the manufacture of a jewel, processing flow by different operators should be recorded for quality guaranteeing, and in its trading stage, the ownership handover should be recorded for value confirmation. To tackle above two requirements, two chains are usually thus demanded. In this paper, we propose a single chain solution to avoid cross-chain burden, by a hybrid block structure. The process data can be imported from the legacy (non-anonymous) information processing system, and transaction data stems from anonymous payment demand for ownership handover. We formally describe and prove token handover model with cryptographical authenticity. We also propose several security enhancements in the design for shortening the length of the chain, and protecting the data confidentiality in the chain. Our design is general and not limited to single application. The experimental results and extensive analysis justified that the performance and security of our proposed scheme is efficient. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we present a novel framework termed Anisotropic Spectral Manifold Wavelet Transform (ASMWT) for shape analysis. ASMWT comprehensively analyzes the signals from multiple directions on local manifold regions of the shape with a series of low-pass and band-pass frequency filters in each direction. Using the ASMWT coefficients of a very simple function, we efficiently construct a localizable and discriminative multiscale point descriptor, named as the Anisotropic Spectral Manifold Wavelet Descriptor (ASMWD). Since the filters used in our descriptor are direction-sensitive and able to robustly reconstruct the signals with a finite number of scales, it makes our descriptor be intrinsic-symmetry unambiguous, compact as well as efficient. The extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves significant performance than several state-of-the-art methods when applied in vertex-wise shape matching. © 2018 The Author(s).

The Cotter-Holm Slice Model (CHSM) was introduced to study the behavior of whether and specifically the formulation of atmospheric fronts, whose prediction is fundamental in meteorology. Considered herein is the influence of stochastic forcing on the Incompressible Slice Model (ISM) in a smooth 2D bounded domain, which can be derived by adapting the Lagrangian function in Hamilton’s principle for CHSM to the Euler-Boussinesq Eady incompressible case. First, we establish the existence and uniqueness of local pathwise solution (probability strong solution) to the ISM perturbed by nonlinear multiplicative stochastic forcing in Banach spaces Wk, p(D) with k > 1 + 1/ p and p ≥ 2. The solution is obtained by introducing suitable cut-off operators applied to the W1,∞-norm of the velocity and temperature fields, using the stochastic compactness method and the Yamada-Watanabe type argument based on the Gyöngy-Krylov characterization of convergence in probability. Then, when the ISM is perturbed by linear multiplicative stochastic forcing and the potential temperature does not vary linearly on the y-direction, we prove that the associated Cauchy problem admits a unique global-in-time pathwise solution with high probability, provided that the initial data is sufficiently small or the diffusion parameter is large enough. The results partially answer the problems left open in Alonso-Orán et al. (Physica D 392:99–118, 2019, pp. 117). Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Datacenter networks suffer unpredictable performance due to a lack of application level bandwidth guarantees. A lot of attentions have been drawn to solve this problem such as how to provide bandwidth guarantees for Virtualized Machines (VMs), proportional bandwidth share among tenants, and high network utilization under peak traffic. However, existing solutions fail to cope with highly dynamic traffic in datacenter networks. In this paper, we consider the effects of large numbers of short flows and massive bursty traffic in the datacenter, and design a novel distributed rate allocation algorithm based on the Logistic model under the control-theoretic framework. The theoretical analysis and experimental results using OpenFlow show that our algorithm not only guarantees the bandwidth for VMs, but also provides fast convergence to efficiency and fairness, and smooth response to bursty traffic.

Dynamic searchable symmetric encryption (DSSE) enables users to delegate the keyword search over dynamically updated encrypted databases to an honest-but-curious server without losing keyword privacy. This paper studies a new and practical security risk to DSSE, namely, secret key compromise (e.g., a user’s secret key is leaked or stolen), which threatens all the security guarantees offered by existing DSSE schemes. To address this open problem, we introduce the notion of searchable encryption with key-update (SEKU) that provides users with the option of non-interactive key updates. We further define the notion of post-compromise secure with respect to leakage functions to study whether DSSE schemes can still provide data security after the client’s secret key is compromised. We demonstrate that post-compromise security is achievable with a proposed protocol called "Bamboo". Interestingly, the leakage functions of Bamboo satisfy the requirements for both forward and backward security. We conduct a performance evaluation of Bamboo using a real-world dataset and compare its runtime efficiency with the existing forward-and-backward secure DSSE schemes. In this paper, a generalized lattice Boltzmann (LB) model with a mass source is proposed to solve both incompressible and nearly incompressible Navier-Stokes (N-S) equations. This model can be used to deal with single-phase and twophase ows problems with a mass source term. From this generalized model, we can not only get some existing models, but also derive new models. Moreover, for the incompressible model derived, a modified pressure scheme is introduced to calculate the pressure, and then to ensure the accuracy of the model. In this work, we will focus on a two-phase ow system, and in the frame work of our generalized LB model, a new phase-field-based LB model is developed for incompressible and quasi-incompressible two-phase ows. A series of numerical simulations of some classic physical problems, including a spinodal decomposition, a static droplet, a layered Poiseuille ow, and a bubble rising ow under buoyancy, are performed to validate the developed model. Besides, some comparisons with previous quasi-incompressible and incompressible LB models are also carried out, and the results show that the present model is accurate in the study of two-phase ows. Finally, we also conduct a comparison between quasiincompressible and incompressible LB models for two-phase ow problems, and find that in some cases, the proposed quasi-incompressible LB model performs better than incompressible LB models. In this paper, we are concerned with Jacobi polynomials P(α,β)n(x) on the Bernstein ellipse with motivation mainly coming from recent studies of convergence rate of spectral interpolation. An explicit representation of P(α,β)n(x) is derived in the variable of parametrization. This formula further allows us to show that the maximum value of |P(α,β)n(z)| over the Bernstein ellipse is attained at one of the endpoints of the major axis if α+β ≥ -1. For the minimum value, we are able to show that for a large class of Gegenbauer polynomials (i.e., α = β), it is attained at two endpoints of the minor axis. These results particularly extend those previously known only for some special cases. Vehicle Re-identification(Re-ID) refers to the task of matching a specific vehicle across multiple non-overlapping cameras. Precise vehicle Re-ID suffers from two main challenges: (1) different vehicle identities with a similar appearance of the same type have a subtle inter-instance discrepancy, (2) one vehicle usually has large intra-instance differences due to viewpoint and illumination variations. To address these challenges, in this paper, we proposed an Attention-based Framework for Vehicle Re-ID named AFVR, which combines the benefits of both the cross-entropy loss function and the triplet loss function. Experimental results on two popular vehicle Re-ID benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method, compared with the state of the arts. © 2019 IEEE.

In this paper, we prove the global Hadamard well-posedness of strong solutions to anon-isospectral two-component cubic Camassa-Holm system in the critical Besov space B22,1(T). 1 Our results shows that in comparison with the well-known work for classic Camassa-Holm-type equations, the existence of global solution only relies on the L1-integrability of the variable coefficients α(t) and γ(t), but nothing to do with the shape or smoothness of the initial data. The key ingredient of the proof hinges on the careful analysis of the mutual effect among two component forms, the uniform bound of approximate solutions, and several crucial estimates of cubic nonlinearities in low-regularity Besov spaces via the Littlewood-Paley decomposition theory. A reduced case in our results yields the global existence of solutions in a Besov space for two kinds of well-known isospectral peakon system with weakly dissipative terms. Moreover, we derive two kinds of precise blow-up criteria for a strong solution in both critical and non-critical Besov spaces, as well as providing specific characterization for the lower bound of the blow-up time, which implies the global existence with additional conditions on the time-dependent parameters α(t) an γ(t).
