In the current field of object detection, the YOLOv7 model demonstrates significant advantages in terms of both detection speed and accuracy. However, the model shows deficiencies in focussing on key information, and its loss function's sensitivity to bounding boxes results in suboptimal performance in densely populated environments and small target detection scenarios. To address these issues, this study proposes a mask target detection method based on YOLOv7. By integrating a channel attention mechanism into the YOLOv7 model, this method enhances the model's focus on important information in images, effectively reducing interference from background factors. Additionally, the method incorporates Normalized Wasserstein Distance (NWD) into the loss function to optimize the model's evaluation of small target detection. Experimental verification shows that the improved model maintains its original detection speed while increasing the overall accuracy to 92.1%, a 2.9% improvement over the original YOLOv7 model. It achieves a 3.3% increase in the mAP.5 metric. This indicates that the optimised YOLOv7 model has superior detection capabilities, allowing it to perform mask-wearing detection tasks more rapidly and accurately in natural environments. © 2024 IEEE.

In the field of autonomous driving, 3D target detection is an important technology. In view of the shortcomings of existing monocular 3D detection algorithms in terms of accuracy and real-time performance, we propose a lightweight 3D target detection algorithm based on the attention mechanism. In order to ensure the real-time performance of the model, we use depthwise separable convolutions in the backbone network. The feature maps of each scale are then connected to an EMA module, which can fuse spatial attention and cross-dimensional Coordinate attention is used to enhance the feature extraction capability of the network, and BiFPN is subsequently used for multi-scale feature fusion. Finally, experiments were conducted on the KITTI dataset, and the results showed that our algorithm was superior to other methods in both accuracy and speed. © 2024 IEEE.

A new fine-grained image recognition algorithm (P-ResViT, Paired Interaction Res50-ViT) based on CNN-Transformer is proposed to address the issue of existing fine-grained image recognition methods based on convolutional neural networks (CNN) lacking attention mechanisms and difficulty in accurately locating key regions, as well as weak ability to extract contextual information and global features. This algorithm introduces paired interaction attention mechanisms to supplement external attention. This algorithm can utilize the self attention mechanism of the Vision Transformer and the external attention mechanism formed by paired image inputs during training to achieve precise positioning, while preserving the inductive bias and local feature extraction capabilities of CNN. Firstly, the fine-tuning improved ResNet-50 completes local feature extraction and obtains high-resolution feature maps. Secondly, the Transformer encodes the tokenized image blocks of the feature map as input sequences for extracting global context. Finally, the Transformer completes global feature extraction and outputs the classification sequence. In addition, two external attention mechanisms were introduced by inputting image pairs during training, including collaborative attention mechanisms for similar images and cross attention mechanisms for heterogeneous images, fully utilizing the correlation information between images. After experimental evaluation, the P-ResViT proposed in this article has reached advanced levels in three fine-grained image datasets CUB, CAR, and AIR. © 2024 IEEE.

Image Enhancement via Associated Perturbation Removal and Texture Reconstruction Learning

Degradation under challenging conditions such as rain, haze, and low light not only diminishes content visibility, but also results in additional degradation side effects, including detail occlusion and color distortion. However, current technologies have barely explored the correlation between perturbation removal and background restoration, consequently struggling to generate high-naturalness content in challenging scenarios. In this paper, we rethink the image enhancement task from the perspective of joint optimization: Perturbation removal and texture reconstruction. To this end, we advise an efficient yet effective image enhancement model, termed the perturbation-guided texture reconstruction network(PerTeRNet). It contains two subnetworks designed for the perturbation elimination and texture reconstruction tasks, respectively. To facilitate texture recovery,we develop a novel perturbation-guided texture enhancement module(PerTEM) to connect these two tasks, where informative background features are extracted from the input with the guidance of predicted perturbation priors. To alleviate the learning burden and computational cost, we suggest performing perturbation removal in a sub-space and exploiting super-resolution to infer high-frequency background details. Our PerTeRNet has demonstrated significant superiority over typical methods in both quantitative and qualitative measures, as evidenced by extensive experimental results on popular image enhancement and joint detection tasks. Accurate detection of protein binding sites is critical for facilitating drug design. Most existing models rely on features at a single scale, leading to the loss of crucial global or local structural information. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel 3D model (ResPocket), to fully capture the multi-scale features of proteins. First, Residual Block (ResB) based on U-Net is used to capture features from different scales, including global and local structural information. Then, an Enhanced Attention Module (EAM) is designed to encode semantic dependencies by effectively capturing global context information. In addition, ResPocket focuses on learning local information about protein pockets with Self-Guided Mask Block (SGMB), to increase the robustness of the overall model and reduce its dependence on external mask guidance. Experimental results show that ResPocket improves by an average of 4.89% on DCA Top-n, by an average of 1.48% and 2.25% on DCC and DVO metrics, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Image deraining typically involves synthesizing low-quality degraded data for training using a predefined degraded model of a single weather condition. While in real world scenarios, varying rain intensities result in different sizes and densities of raindrops and rain streaks, increasing the complexity of image degradation. In this paper, we proposed a multi-stage deraining framework based on pre-trained diffusion model, it can efficiently perform the rain removal task under a variety of weather situations. We diffuse degraded images into a noisy state where various types of degradation are transformed into Gaussian noise. Then, during the denoising process, the low-frequency information of the image is replaced through iterative refinement, guiding the pre-trained diffusion model for image reconstruction. Our method effectively utilizes the generative priors in diffusion models and avoid the computational burden of retraining conditional diffusion models. Experimental results on four rainy degradation image datasets show its robustness to different types and severities of degradation (such as raindrops and rain streaks). Compared to recent deraining algorithms, our method achieves a maximum improvement of 0.96 dB (3.5%) in PSNR and 0.021 dB (2.7%) in SSIM for the restored images. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). This paper describes a multi target drug design method based on features of the target proteins. The multi target drug which inhibit multiple proteins have prospective applications, but design is difficult. In this study, the target protein sequences are embedded to obtain target features. The features of each target are independently encoded as target latent vectors, and the features of multiple targets are jointly encoded as target similarity latent vectors. Based on the features of targets and the similarity features among the targets, multi target drugs are efficiently designed. In the experiments, the designed multi target drugs can be docked with target proteins with a proprietary molecular structure according to the requirements of different target pocket structures. The excellent fitness among the molecular structure of multi target drugs and the protein structure of multiple targets confirms the performance of the proposed method. In the molecular docking part of the experi¬ments, the binding affinity of designed multi target drugs is far better than that in the previous studies, which administrates the better performance of this work. © 2024 IEEE.

Translation efforts from natural language to code generation have achieved great success with large pre-trained language models. However, selecting the correct code output for the problem posed by the generated set of candidate codes is still challenging. In this paper, we address this problem by proposing an outcome-based quality-aware reordering method for code selection. This method scores each code by whether the set of candidate codes passes the test cases or not as a reference to select the top k best code outputs. In addition, this method depends on the quality and number of test cases. However, it is impractical to manually create a large number of test cases for each problem, so this paper adopts an automated approach that utilizes the current model to generate test cases for each problem. The experimental results show that the approach proposed in this paper obtains a significant improvement in the pass@k benchmark for each model, and the correctness and quality of test cases generated automatically using the model are discussed experimentally. Summarizing the experimental results and discussions, the result-based quality-aware reordering method proposed in this paper achieves a significant improvement in solving the problem of selecting the correct output from natural language to code generation, effectively improves the accuracy of evaluation by automating the generation of test cases, and provides an effective solution to improving the correctness of code generation. © 2024 IEEE.

Document-level event extraction faces numerous challenges in accurately modeling real-world financial scenarios, particularly due to the inadequacies in existing datasets regarding data scale and fine-grained annotations. The development of datasets is a crucial factor in driving research progress;therefore, we present a high-quality Chinese document-level event extraction dataset, CFinDEE. This dataset, grounded in real-world financial news, defines 22 event types and 116 argument roles, annotating 26,483 events and 107,096 event arguments. CFinDEE aims to address these shortcomings by providing more comprehensive annotations and data augmentation, offering richer resources for document-level event extraction in the financial domain. CFinDEE extends data both horizontally and vertically, where horizontal expansion enriches the types of financial events, enhancing the diversity of the dataset;vertical expansion, by increasing the scale of the data, effectively boosts the practical value of the dataset. Experiments conducted on multiple advanced models have validated the high applicability and effectiveness of the CFinDEE dataset for document-level event extraction tasks in the financial field. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). With the pervasive integration of artificial intelligence into all aspects of human life, talent emerges as a primary resource. Upon analysing the current state of talent training in higher education institutions, issues such as dispersed knowledge points, overlapping content, a singular practice approach and ineffective evaluation have been identified. In response to these challenges, this paper proposes a multidisciplinary and comprehensive practical teaching methodology grounded in the knowledge graph framework. It delves into diverse paths for practical teaching and assessment, including aspects like teaching objectives, problem decomposition, resource integration, implementation methods and performance evaluation. The practical application of the SSD algorithm in researching service robot indoor object detection serves as an illustrative example. Employing the holistic practical teaching approach facilitated by the knowledge graph, this model guides students in acquiring object detection expertise, thereby enhancing their comprehensive development.
