The Combination of Two control Strategies for Series Hybrid Electric Vehicles

With most countries paying attention to the environment protection, hybrid electric vehicles have become a focus of automobile research and development due to the characteristics of energy saving and low emission. Power follower control strategy(PFCS) and DC-link voltage control strategy are two sorts of control strategies for series hybrid electric vehicles(HEVs). Combining those two control strategies is a new idea for control strategy of series hybrid electric vehicles. By tuning essential parameters which are the defined constants under DClink voltage control and under PFCS, the points of minimum mass of equivalent fuel consumption(EFC) corresponding to a series of variables are marked for worldwide harmonized light vehicles test procedure(WLTP). The fuel economy of series HEVs with the combination control schemes performs better compared with individual control scheme. The results show the effects of the combination control schemes for series HEVs driving in an urban environment.

This paper focuses on the fault diagnosis of IGBT switch for microgrid three-phase inverters. Based on the analysis of all kinds of fault mechanisms, firstly, the fault simulation model of microgrid inverter is built on MATLAB/Simulink to simulate the fault state of inverter switch under various faults. The load-side three-phase current fault data is collected. Then, wavelet transform is used to extract feature parameters, and normalize the process in the form of energy to construct the fault feature vector. Finally, the genetic algorithm-based probability neural network(PNN) is used for classification. The experimental results show that the method that combining wavelet transform and PNN can diagnose the faults of microgrid inverter accurately and effectively.

The model-free output consensus control problem for the nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) with random disturbance is considered. In order to avoid the difficulty of designing a consensus protocol when the dynamic model is unknown, this paper proposes an online learning method for a consensus protocol by Gaussian regression based two-phase iteration. First, output of the leader is estimated by an adaptive distributed observer. On this basis, measurable input/output data is used to solve the consensus control problem of model-free systems. A two-phase iteration for Gaussian-kernel based adaptive critic design (GK-ACD) is proposed to approximate optimal Q-function and optimal control policies, which can simultaneously approximate and update value functions and hyper-parameters. This avoids the problem of artificial selection of improper hyper-parameters may mislead the kernel-based regression. Finally, the simulation results show that, without knowledge of dynamics, the distributed policies achieves the output consensus control of nonlinear MASs, and proves the effectiveness of the method.

Distributed end-effector formation control for networked 2-DoF flexible-joint manipulators with partially underactuated agents

The presence of faulty or underactuated manipulators can disrupt the end-effector formation keeping of a team of manipulators. This paper investigates the distributed end-effector formation control of networked planar two-link manipulators with flexible joints, emphasizing cases where some agents are underactuated. The underactuated agents can be active–passive (AP) manipulators, where only the first joint is actuated; passive–active (PA) manipulators, where only the second joint is actuated; or a combination thereof. First, we establish an equilibrium property for the discussed underactuated manipulators with flexible joints. Building upon this property, we introduce the novel concept of virtual end-effectors for manipulators, whose positions serve as intermediate variables in the controller design. Then, we extend the distance-based and displacement-based formation controllers to accommodate this group of manipulators by coupling virtual end-effectors, rather than actual end-effectors used in existing works. Finally, we investigate the set of desired and reachable shapes for the networked end-effectors to highlight how the presence of underactuated manipulators affects the applicability of the proposed controllers. This analysis demonstrates that the distance-based method accommodates more underactuated manipulators in the group than the displacement-based method. We validate both our analysis and the proposed distributed controllers through numerical simulations.

Since the working condition affects the chemical reactions in a blast furnace (BF), the relationship between the blast-supply parameters and the gas utilization ratio (GUR) varies with different working conditions. This paper presents a GUR prediction model based on working condition classification. First, this paper analyzes the influence of working conditions on the state parameters of a BF. Then, a fuzzy clustering method is used to identify the working condition by using some state parameters. Next, the GUR prediction model was designed based on an extreme learning machine under different working conditions. Finally, the simulation results verified the effectiveness of this method.

How to effectively predict social influence is an essential issue in social network analysis. Almost all reported methods for social influence prediction are mainly concerned with estimating influence probabilities for each linking edge. However, all of this past work cannot accurately predict influence probabilities for all edges due to the problem of data sparsity. Unlike conventional approaches, this work focuses on exploring a cross problem for multiple network embeddings and social influence prediction. This study developed a new end-to-end approach, Multi-Influor, that learns multiple influence vectors for each user in social networks, instead of estimating influence probabilities for each edge. The multiple network embeddings consider multi-dimensional influence factors that incorporate pairwise node interactions, network structures, and global similarity comparisons. Moreover, this study solves the problem of influence evaluation caused by sparse observations. Extensive comparisons based on large-scale datasets indicate that the Multi-Influor approach outperforms several state-of-the-art baselines, and the experimental results demonstrate that the Multi-Influor approach is more practical on real-world social networks.

This paper develops a matrix-separation-based Lyapunov functional method to study the extended dissipativity analysis and synthesis issue of discrete-time Lur'e-type delayed systems. The advanced idea of matrix-separation is reflected in Lyapunov functional candidates and estimates summation terms as precisely as feasible. First, we introduce a novel summation inequality based on the matrix-separation method to provide a bound for the augmented summation that involves common state variables. An improved delay-product-type Lyapunov functional is devised by extending non-positive definite summations as separate subblocks of the state-augmented summation. Then, by using the matrix injection method to handle the cubic delay term in the functional forward difference, a delay-variation-dependent stability criterion and an extended dissipativity criterion are developed under the matrix-separation-based method. Subsequently, sufficient conditions for the control design of Lur'e-type systems are derived. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are verified through its application to Chua's circuits, neural networks, and a stochastic numerical example. © 2025 The Author(s). In this paper, tolerance and detection problems for the edge disconnection in consensus issues of discrete-time multi-agent systems with the time-delay are investigated. We first discuss the tolerance of the edge disconnection in consensus problems. For the case with the strongly connected communication topology, the faulty system can still achieve consensus if the connectedness of the multi-agent system is not changed as the edge disconnection, but the consensus value of the faulty system might be different from the original one. Especially, the consensus value of the system with the edge disconnection will be consistent with the original one if the communication topology of the faulty system is undirected and connected. In addition, the detection problem of the edge disconnection in multi-agent systems is considered by transforming the detection problem into the discernibility problem between the faulty system and the original system. By the state augmentation method and observability properties of the system, some equivalent conditions for the discernibility of the edge disconnection are established.

Real-time transmission line outage detection is difficult because of partial phasor measurement unit (PMU) deployment and varying outage signal strength. Existing detection approaches focus on monitoring PMU-measured nodal algebraic states, i.e., voltage phase angle and magnitude. The success of such approaches, however, is largely predicated on strong outage signals and the presence of PMUs in the outage location's vicinity. To overcome these limitations, a unified framework is proposed in this work by utilizing both nodal voltage information and generator dynamic states, e.g., rotor angular position. The proposed scheme is shown to be faster and more robust to unknown outage locations through the incorporation of generator dynamics. Using the IEEE 39-bus system simulation data, the proposed scheme's properties and performances compared to existing approaches are presented. The new approach could help improve operators' real-time situational awareness by detecting outages faster and providing a breakdown of outage signals for diagnostic purposes, making future power systems more resilient. The electric parallel six wheel-legged robot (EPSWLR) is characterized by heavy load and fast moving speed. But the body will shake and vibrate while passing through rough roads, which affects its stability. In order to solve this problem, the single-leg structure based on Stewart structure was equivalent to the impedance system composed of mass block, spring and damping in this paper. Due to changes in environmental forces and environmental impedance parameters caused by environmental changes, the traditional impedance control (IC) still causes force error at the foot end of robot and thus results in poor vibration isolation effect. Therefore, a new adaptive algorithm was proposed in this paper and added to IC algorithm to reduce the force error caused by environmental changes and thus improve the vibration isolation effect. In this paper, the characteristic equation of adaptive impedance control (AIC) algorithm was first obtained and the condition for system stability was calculated based on Routh-Hurwitz stability criterion. Finally, the stability of this system was verified. The simulation experiment combining MATLAB and Adams was designed and performed with EPSWLR. The effectiveness of AIC was proved by monitoring the changes in the force of single leg and the attitude of robot body.
