In blockchain ecosystems, an Oracle is a service tool which provides real-world data for smart contracts and other blockchain applications. At present, there are several Oracle implementation schemes, e.g. centralized Oracles, decentralized Oracles, and hardware Oracles. However, these schemes typically suffer from single source of data and low scalability. Application Specific Knowledge Engine (ASKE) is an integrated topic/application-centered knowledge portal that supports effective information retrieval and analysis. Inspired by ASKE, in this paper, we propose a novel Oracle implementation scheme. The proposed scheme can realize multi-source data extraction and analysis, then working prototypes are demonstrated to show the validity of the scheme. © 2019 IEEE.

Ordinal Optimization for Optimal Orientation Problems in 3D Printing

Compared with a traditional manufacturing process, 3D printing has advantages of performance and cost in personalized customization and has been applied in many fields. The problem of 3D model orientation optimization is a crucial one in practice. In this paper, based on the mathematical relationship between model orientation and printing time, surface quality, and supporting area, the model orientation problem is transformed into a multi-objective optimization problem with goal of minimizing printing time, surface quality, and supporting area. Ordinal Optimization (OO) is not only applicable to problems with random factors, but also to solve complex deterministic problems. The model orientation is a complex deterministic problem. We solve it with OO in this paper and use linear weighting to convert the multi-objective optimization problem into single-objective one. Finally, we compare the experimental results of solving 3D model orientation problems solved by OO and Genetic Algorithm (GA). The results show that OO requires less calculation time than GA while achieving comparable performance.

After reviewing the development of industrial manufacturing, a novel concept called social manufacturing(SM) and service are proposed as an innovative manufacturing solution for the coming personalized customization era. SM can realize a customer's requirements of "from mind to products", and fulfill tangible and intangible needs of a prosumer, i.e., producer and consumer at the same time. It represents a manufacturing trend,and is expected to become popular in more and more ***, a comparison between mass customization and SM is given out, and the basis and motivation from social network to SM is analyzed. Then, its basic theories and supporting technologies,like Internet of Things(Io T), social networks, cloud computing,3 D printing, and intelligent systems, are introduced and analyzed,and an SM platform prototype is developed. Finally, three transformation modes towards SM and 3 D printing are suggested for different user cases.

In recent years, with the rapid development of computer technology, facial expression recognition technology has gradually been applied to primary and secondary schools. This article first introduces the application of facial expression recognition in education. Then the development of facial expression recognition and the four basic processes of facial expressions are described. After that, the methods and algorithms used in face detection and localization of face expression recognition and classification are summarized, feature extraction and classification are summarized. Finally, the current application of facial expression recognition technology in education and the existing problems and future development are pointed out.

The microphone array speech enhancement algorithm (MASEA), the minimum mean square error algorithm for short-time logarithmic spectrum estimation based on voice activity detection (VAD-LSA-MMSE), and the Wiener filtering algorithm based on voice activity detection (VAD-Wiener) are currently the three most commonly used speech enhancement algorithms. Among them, the MASEA algorithm has some disadvantages such as poor noise reduction effect. VAD-LSA-MMSE algorithm has some disadvantages of relying on high SNR and introducing music noise, thereby reducing the intelligibility. The VAD-Wiener algorithm has some disadvantages such as higher SNR requirements. Aiming at the shortcomings of these three speech enhancement algorithms, based on the VAD algorithm and the MASEA algorithm, this paper proposed a new speech enhancement algorithm by combining the characteristics of Wiener filtering algorithm and LSA-MMSE algorithm. The new speech enhancement algorithm is a VAD-based microphone array speech enhancement algorithm (VAD-MASEA). VAD-MASEA is better than the other three algorithms in noise reduction, speech enhancement and voice intelligibility, and has the characteristics of adapting to a lower SNR environment. This paper used MATLAB to carry out experimental research, including the new algorithm and the three existing algorithms were simulated and compared the signal waveforms of the four algorithms. Experimental results show that the proposed VAD-MASEA algorithm overcomes the high SNR requirement and can be used in low SNR environments and obtain highly intelligible enhanced signals.

Musical staff lines detection and removal, the first step of most Optical Music Recognition (OMR) technology, aims to detect staff positions and segment score image by removing those staff lines. To deal with issues that the disappearance of thin staff lines in the captured score image, line repaired algorithm based on music rules is proposed in this paper. It first estimates two reference lengths, staff width and space between two adjacent lines. Then projection is used to obtain potential staves positions. At least the staves are finally determined based on line repaired algorithm, the missing lines repaired and the redundant lines deleted at the same time. The proposed technique is simple and effective, making full use of global information of the musical scores. Experimental results show that our method achieves impressive results on music score images captured from cameras.

This paper presents a novel single-parameter optimization method for extracting coupling matrix from either measured or electromagnetic simulated S-parameters of a narrow band coaxial-resonator filter with losses. Having had the polynomials of the S-parameters of a filter by the Cauchy method with removing phase shift, the rational polynomials can be obtained. Once the rational polynomials having been determined, a single-parameter optimization method is proposed to obtain ε and the coupling matrix with an assigned topology, which can be extracted using well established techniques. The measured Sparameters compared with the 5-parameters obtained from the coupling matrix, and the attenuation factor K is easily determined. The loss effects will be removed after obtaining the value of the attenuation factor K. The approach is useful and can be used in computer-aided tuning of microwave filters. Example is presented to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.

The decomposition strategy and the ε-constraint method are two important strategies in the field of multi-objective optimization. DMOEA-εC first attempts to incorporate the ε-constraint method into the decomposition strategy and solve a multi-objective optimization problem(MOP) via optimizing a series of scalar constrained subproblems collaboratively with the help of information from neighboring subproblems. However, given the inefficiency of applying DMOEA-εC to deal with many-objective optimization problems(MaOPs), a two-stage upper bound vectors generation procedure is proposed to generate widely spread upper bound vectors in a high-dimensional space. Besides, a boundary points maintenance mechanism is put forward to remedy the diversity loss of a population in DMOEA-εC. Based on the above, DMOEA-εC with the two-stage upper bound vectors generation procedure and the boundary points maintenance mechanism, named as IDMOEA-εC, is presented for MaOPs. IDMOEA-εC is compared with four state-of-the-art many-objective evolutionary algorithms, including HypE, NSGA-Ⅲ, MOEADD, and Two Arch2. Experimental studies demonstrate that IDMOEA-εC outperforms or performs competitively against these algorithms on the majority of sixteen DTLZ test instances with up to 10 objectives.

It is difficult to rescue people from outside, and emergency evacuation is still a main measure to decrease casualties in high-rise building fires. To improve evacuation efficiency, a valid and easily manipulated grouping evacuation strategy is proposed. Occupants escape in groups according to the shortest evacuation route is determined by graph theory. In order to evaluate and find the optimal grouping, computational experiments are performed to design and simulate the evacuation processes. A case study shown the application in detail and quantitative research conclusions is obtained. The thoughts and approaches of this study can be used to guide actual high-rise building evacuation processes in future.

Traffic congestion is a serious problem around the world and to a great extent influences urban communities in various manners including increased stress levels, delayed deliveries, fuel wastage, and monetary losses. Therefore, an accurate congestion prediction algorithm to limit these misfortunes is fundamental. This paper presents a comparative study of traffic congestion prediction systems including decision tree, logistic regression, and neural networks. Five days of traffic information (1,231,200 samples) are utilized to drive the prediction model. The TensorFlow and the Clementine machine learning platforms are used for data preprocessing, training, and testing of the model. The confusion matrix clears that decision tree has better prediction performance and leads the other two methods with accuracy (97%), macro-average precision (95%), macro-average recall (96%), and macro-average F1_score (96%) in the python programming environment. Moreover, performance of the three prediction models is verified in Clementine environment and decision tree outperforms all other models with an accuracy of 97.65%.
